Welcome, dear listeners, to another episode of The Crystal Paine Show! This week, join Jesse and I as I share something really special and personal - my goals for this summer! You might recall from our recent episodes that I set a theme for this summer: a "slowed down summer." Today, I am explaining what that means for me and the specific goals I've set to bring this theme to life! Some of these goals might seem a bit contradictory to the idea of slowing down, but stick with me, and I'll explain how they all fit together.
First off, I am aiming to run 100 miles this summer! I know that running might not sound like slowing down, but for me, it’s a form of meditation that clears my mind and refreshes my spirit. There is also my goal to finish 50 books. Reading is such a calming activity for me, and I am finding new ways to fit it into my day, especially by using small pockets of free time reading rather than scrolling.
In addition, I want to spend more quality time with our kids. We're going to finish reading Farmer Boy and Little House on the Prairie with the younger ones and work through their educational goals. Jesse and I are also planning to go on 26 dates - one for each letter of the alphabet – and we have fifteen left!
This summer is all about finding that sweet spot where I can thrive in both my personal and professional life without feeling overwhelmed, and I hope this episode encourages you to think about your own summer goals and how they align with your desire to slow down and savor life! I would love to hear about your plans and how you’re making space for what truly matters, so feel free to reach out!
