What is the ACT and what is the SAT?  Those are college entrance exams.  Most colleges require that your kid takes a college entrance a college entrance exam.  I said "most" because there are a growing number of colleges that are test optional and that means that they don't require an ACT score or an SAT score.  Those colleges will take a portfolio of your best work in lieu of test scores.
