Welcome to Dialogues at the Living Edge. This is Alexander Love, your host. I had the beautiful opportunity to sit down with Kabir Kadre. We had a lovely conversation seemed to span the entire kosmos, looking at pain, the crucible, and how to stay in connection when things get really difficult. Personally, I felt deeply moved by this dialogue. I think you're going to love this conversation and I hope you enjoy it.
Kabir is a lifelong practitioner of Pathfinding the Way Less Traveled, Kabir Kadre places in his service to life, his deepest embodied prayer and most sincere efforts towards the fruition of realizing an integral, ethical, and practical expression of impact in the world.

Fact Correction: Kabir mentioned UN statistic regarding a billion climate refugees within a decade. He requested the following correction be made: "According to multiple sources, it's estimated that there could be 1.2 billion climate refugees by 2050, not a decade."

In this episode, I am joined by six amazing colleagues in this dialogue: Lonny Jarrett, Heiner Fruehauf, Randine Lewis, Brant Stickely, Lorie Dechar, and Will Morris. I found the discussion very rich, nuanced, and lively dialogue exploring the question: Why Chinese medicine now? What role does the integral practice of medicine play in our current era? While this will be very exciting and enriching for the Chinese medicine practitioner, it is relevant for anyone wishing to make this world a better place. You may find a few places with some unfamiliar jargon, but it flows by quickly, and the deeper inquiry is one we are all living in, in our own ways. Join us!

In part 2 of the 5 part series about how Acupuncture works with Pain & Illness, Alexander explores the the impact of stagnation in our lives and how Acupuncture is excellent for creating freedom where there is restriction. If you are in physical, emotional, or spiritual pain, or have illnesses that so far have not been resolved, this episode is for you. You will learn new distention, but will also be given a practice that you can try out today to start transforming your life. Also, if you are a practitioner of Chinese medicine, or another system of healing, this is a resource for your clients. Enjoy!
This is the first of a 5 part series where, Alexander Love, explores how Acupuncture supports the resolution of pain and illness. This episode is for you if you or someone you know is looking for ways to deal with pain on any level or suffers from some kind of illness. It is also for you, if you are an acupuncturist or other practitioner and want a resource for your clients & patients to better understand how acupuncture is effective in supporting people with pain and illnesses.
In this episode, Alexander shares with us three types of resources that are essential for working with healing reactions. This is essential information for both the practitioner and any layperson who has moments of intensity and difficulty in their life.
In this podcast I explore the 5 main aspects of a human being that need to be balanced prior to engaging in deep transformative work. Doing so will help you avoid unnecessary healing reactions. Over the years, I have found that, for the most part, healing crises are not a requirement for healing. You will learn how to assess each of these five dimensions and offer a strategy you can integrate into your own tradition to support your patient have a smoother healing process.
In this episode, I explore acupuncture points Kidney 11, Bladder 7 & Ren 17 through the lens of the terrestrial and celestial forces and how the human being is the one who has the opportunity to integrate the seeming paradoxes of heaven and earth. As always, you don't have to be an acupuncturist to be able to benefit from this exploration.
You will be able to use this discussion as a way to cultivate an embodied relationship to a deep sense of resting in the mystery of life. This can then be brought into the treatment room to facilitate profound listening and deep heart and/or brought into your daily life as a living mediation.
In this episode, we will dive deeply into a very powerful treatment called External Dragons. This is NOT what you learned in school! Not an acupuncturist? Don't worry, the stories within this treatment are human stories and you can design embodiment practices around the distinctions you learn.
The Dragons treatment supports us to face intimidating forces in our lives and how to heal from intense violation. For anyone who has felt violated, intimidated and powerless, this podcast is for you. Furthermore, if you are a practitioner who works with others that feel this way, this will offer you new distinctions and tools to help them.
