In this episode, I share a recent decision that made me feel physically uncomfortable — investing in a mastermind for my business.
As a working mom and primary provider, decisions about money are never just about the money. They come with responsibility, trade-offs, and doubt.
But this decision brought up something deeper.
Not just whether it would work — but whether I was willing to take a chance on myself again, especially after past attempts didn’t always go the way I expected.
In this episode, I talk about:
This episode is for women who are building something beyond their job, while managing the responsibilities of work and family.
Resources
Most women don’t design their careers.
They default into them.
Climb the ladder. Stay for stability. Do what’s expected.
And then one day, it stops working.
In this episode, I share why I chose to build a business while keeping my job — even though it’s harder.
Not because it’s ideal.
But because the alternatives were unacceptable to me.
I talk about:
This is part of my weekly Career Design Notes where I share how I’m thinking about career, money, and building something on the side as a working mom.

In this episode, I break down what I mean by financial resilience - moving from fear, panic, and anxiety around money to feeling calm, clearheaded, confident, and empowered even before you've achieved your financial goals.
I share why the first step to financial resilience is awareness. On the practical side, this means getting organized and knowing where your money is coming and going. More importantly, and less discussed, on the psychological side, observing your money behaviors and the patterns behind them.
I introduce the idea of “money disorders” (avoidance, worship, and relational issues) and how early experiences and financial flashpoints can shape how you react to money.
I share the power of pausing to self-soothe, including simple techniques like breathing, mindful practices, movement, and more empowering self-talk to help you get better at overcoming money challenges and make a simple, doable plan instead of reacting from anxiety and fear.
If you've tried all the money tactics like saving, budgeting, investing, planning and still anxious about money, this episode is for you.

I’m back after taking a break to reflect on where I want to take the podcast and I’m recommitting to a core theme I don’t see discussed enough in personal finance: financial resilience—the internal ability to stay calm and make clear decisions when money situations change.
With rising costs and uncertainty around jobs and business, I want to help you find more financial certainty by building resilience from the inside, not just focusing on tactics like budgeting or investing.
I share my story of starting a cafe that closed after four years and left us with six-figure debt, returning to my HR career, and becoming my family’s primary provider.
Drawing on decades in HR and my own fear and money avoidance, I explain why uncertainty is unavoidable and preview next episode’s first steps to build resilience.

Have you ever felt deeply exhausted, discouraged, or disillusioned while working toward something that truly matters to you - your career, your business, or your long-term goals?
In this episode, I share what I’ve been personally moving through over the past few weeks, and the deeper reason many high-achieving working women feel drained even when they’re doing “all the right things.”
This episode isn’t about time management or productivity hacks.
It’s about how a lack of self-belief and self-trust quietly running in the background drains our energy, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and feeling like we want to give up.

Most corporate women are sold the same story:
Get a good job, climb the ladder, earn more and you’ll be safe.
But what happens when restructures, mergers, pandemics, or one decision you didn’t make suddenly threaten your income, your identity, and your family’s security?
In this episode, I share the moment I realised my 9–5 job was not safety and what true financial resilience really looks like for corporate women.
Drawing from nearly 30 years in HR, including hiring, firing, restructuring, and my own story of quitting a 6-figure job, taking on 6-figure debt, going back to corporate, and then building side income as a freelance trainer, I walk you through:
This isn’t an episode about quitting your job overnight. It’s about never again outsourcing your security to someone else’s decision.
If this resonated and you want support to build your own safety, visibility, and side income while staying employed:
In this episode, I share what’s really happening inside you when you try to post on LinkedIn and suddenly freeze. This isn’t about algorithms or content hacks. It’s about your brain, your conditioning, and why visibility feels unsafe especially for high-achieving corporate women and working moms.
You’ll hear my own stories of posting 'scary' selfies on LinkedIn, being the quiet compliant girl growing up, and how my failed café and 6-figure debt eventually led me to write online, build a side income, and show up consistently on LinkedIn all while still working in HR.
If you’ve ever stared at a drafted post and then quietly deleted it, this episode will help you understand why, and what to do next.

Six years ago, my dad passed away. At his wake, as I pieced together photos of his life, I kept hearing his voice asking me:
'What will your legacy be?'
That question has shaped everything I do today - as a working mom, HR leader, and entrepreneur building a lifestyle business to 'retire' in 5 years instead of 65.
In this special, reflective episode, I share the timeless lessons my dad taught me and how they apply not just to life, but also to building a business that gives you flexibility, fulfilment, and financial freedom.
You’ll learn:
This isn’t about hustling harder. It’s about living fully, creating your own '3rd path' beyond the 9–5, where you work because you want to, not because you have to.

We’ve been told the secret is to 'hustle harder'. But as working moms, that advice just burns us out.
Here’s the truth: It’s not hustle that creates the business you want - it’s your energy.
In this episode, I share:
This is the second pillar of my MES Framework: Energy.

If you’ve been grinding for months (or years) and still don’t have the clients you want, I get it. For me, the time it took from 'I first meet you' to 'you become a client' used to be about two years. Now it’s about five months. That’s ~79% faster - with a full-time job, two kids, and 1 hour a day for my business.
In this episode, I walk through what actually changed. Spoiler: it wasn’t a shiny tactic. It was my identity and beliefs. When I started becoming the woman who already signs clients - the way I think, feel, show up - everything sped up. Strategies didn’t suddenly start working; I started working, because I was aligned.

This week I’m getting very real with you about something we all face as working moms building a business: fear.
I share a very personal story about how even something as simple as saying “no” can feel terrifying, and how I’m learning to check in with my gut (through Human Design) and take action anyway.
In this episode, we’ll explore:
If you’ve ever felt stuck in fear or struggled with people-pleasing, this one’s for you.

If you’re a working mom with a side business, you’ve probably felt the fear of putting yourself 'out there'. Maybe it feels selfish, salesy, or just plain uncomfortable to talk about yourself online, especially when you’ve got colleagues, bosses, or even family watching.
I know, because I’ve been there. For years, I hid behind quotes, generic posts, or faceless updates because showing me felt too vulnerable. But here’s what I learned: staying invisible isn’t humble, it’s actually holding you back from helping the very people who need you.
In this episode, I share:
It’s always scary at first but it gets easier. And showing up online with intention can be the key that unlocks your first client.
Resources & Links:
Feeling overwhelmed by everyone else’s 'must-do' strategies? One guru says 'post daily', another swears by ads, and then someone else insists you need a funnel before you even think about clients. For side-hustling moms already stretched thin, this constant noise quickly turns into overwhelm, burnout, and frustration.
In this episode, I share what helped me stop chasing every shiny new tactic and start focusing on what really matters: knowing yourself first. When you understand how you make decisions, how you manage your energy, and what fuels you, you’ll be able to cut through the confusion and pick strategies that actually work for you.
You’ll hear how meditation, journaling, and tools like Human Design helped me connect with myself on a deeper level, and why this self-awareness is the missing piece most moms skip when trying to sign their first client. Plus, I’ll share a story of trusting my gut — even when it seemed 'impulsive' — and how it set me on the path to building flexible income streams alongside my 9–5 and family life.
By the end, you’ll know the real first step to signing clients without guilt or burnout: creating a business that feels aligned, energizing, and uniquely yours.

You need to adapt and improvise - that requires you to follow your curiosity and try something new sometimes.
If you find this scary to do, then today's podcast episode is for you!
I recently tried a crystal sound healing and chakra balancing session when I was in Bali. I'd never tried this before, but it seemed interesting so I decided to give it a go.
I share more details about it in my podcast, what I got from it, and also:
I hope this gives you ideas and inspiration to go do that thing you've been thinking about!
Everyone wants more money.
In this episode, I share a different approach to creating the money you need for the life you want in a calmer and more enjoyable way.

When you're an ambitious, high achiever, you'll always have goals. Even after you've achieved a goal, the next one almost immediately appears.
The tendency is to focus on the gap between where you are now versus where you want to be already.
But this just makes it harder and a less enjoyable process as you're doing the work to get to where you want to be.
Listen to this week's episode where I share how you can fall in love with the process and enjoy being in the gap between where you are now and where you want to go.
I share about this in my Starter Guide for Career Moms, among other foundational topics I'd tell my younger self when I became a mom about building a career while being the best mom you can be.

As a working mom, it's all about having boundaries right?
We've heard this 100x already.
So why are working women and moms still struggling with work-life balance?
It comes down to what we know and what we do.
This week, I talk about one thing that helps me do all that I do as a full-time working mom, wife, and business owner.
Boundaries.
There's a world of difference between having them (what we know) and enforcing them (what we do).
Having them is easy. Enforcing them? Not so easy.
Listen to this episode for some tips on how to enforce boundaries without feeling bad or upsetting people you care about.

Do you see having a successful career coming at the expense of time, bonding and connection with your kids?
Do you feel you have to make sacrifices or are they simply choices you make in your life?
When it comes to thriving and building a successful career as a mom - whether that’s in a job or a business you run - it comes down to your perspectives and how you see things.
In today’s episode, I wanted to share a few of mine with you as a career mom.
I’ve gained these perspectives in the course of building a career and raising 2 teenagers both which I love, over the past 2 decades.
This is something I’ll be sharing more of in the podcast as a career mom.

I share my thoughts about what kind of leadership is required if you want to firstly lead your life from a position of empowerment, where you create the life you want and you get the results you desire.
This is where you must begin before you can ever hope to ‘change’ your circumstances, the people around you so that you experience a happier, freer and more fulfilling life.

It’s much simpler than many people make it out to be.
And it’s not what you may have heard about high performance, success and achievement.
If you feel like you’ve been doing everything you’ve been told to do or that’s supposed to get you the result you want and yet find yourself back at square one, this episode is for you.
I uncover the missing piece to experience more success from a place of ease, joy and empowerment.

This week I share some quick tips about how to make the best use of your time when you feel you don’t have enough of it!
This is real time, real life, as I too, felt overwhelmed by all the things that needed to be done.
It’s something we all go through sometimes, so why not use it as an opportunity to learn something from it?
I hope you enjoy this short episode.
In this episode, I talk about how to turn your people-pleasing tendencies into a superpower!
You often hear how people-pleasing is not a good thing.
I think people-pleasing reflects a good quality of you.
It’s all about knowing when and how to use it so you don’t end up doing it to a degree where it affects your well-being.
Listen to hear more about how to tell when and how to use people-pleasing for good rather than allow it to run your life or drain your energy.
The ability to turn the feelings you want on, and the feelings you don’t want off, is an amazing power to have.
Imagine being able to do this so you don’t do something you regret when you’re angry, or let something that scares you prevent you from taking action you know you must and want to.
What could your life look like if you had this ability?
I share the technique I use in this week’s podcast episode.
Being able to do this has improved my relationships, enabled me to design and define what kind of work I do, be myself and who I want to be, experience financial freedom, and create a life I love.
This is something every child and person needs to know, learn and apply to live a happy, fulfilled, and peaceful life!

This week’s podcast episode is about something I notice a lot of people (including me) do.
And that’s making excuses and rationalizing something we know in our hearts we want, but because it involves some scary moves, we tell ourselves that’s not the practical, realistic thing to do.
So we continue telling ourselves it’s better that we stick to what we know is the safer option, the more ‘responsible’ option and try to push away what we feel in our heart.
Living this way is out of alignment with your true self. This true inner self knows what she wants. Sometimes, this choice is the more difficult one. But it’s the one that could lead to a richer, more fulfilling life.
Instead of rationalizing it away, how about embracing it, then use that rational mind of yours to figure out how to make it work?
This shift in perspective from what’s impossible to how we can make it possible is the difference between settling for second best or going out and creating your perfect dream life!

It’s ok to acknowledge, recognize and honour what your heart and intuition chooses.
Maybe you’re like me and have been pushing away your emotions, valuing your rational, logical mind more than your intuition and what your heart feels.
Now, you can acknowledge, recognize and honour your emotions and your intuition and do it with the peace of mind that it’s backed up by science and research, the stuff your rational, logical mind needs and loves!
In this episode, I share more about how you can and must use your entire being - your heart, your head, your soul, all of it, in harmony to create the perfect life you’ve always been dreaming of.

We usually hear how comparison is not a good thing, especially in the age of social media where this is rampant. But I say comparison is a good thing and I talk about how to use comparison to help you achieve your dreams and goals in this week’s podcast episode.
It’s such a simple concept that we learned as kids in school, but we’ve lost our ability to use comparison for its intended purpose when we grew up. Comparisons help us gain clarity, focus and open up more options to the problems and challenges we’re going through.
Listen now to go back to basics and use comparison to help you rather than paralyze you from taking the actions needed to make all your dreams come true!
If you want to learn how to use comparison to help you achieve your goals, I’d like to invite you to join my Meetup group for women where we meet each week to go through this demo LIVE so you can experience it first hand for yourself. Sign up at https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/meetup. I look forward to seeing you then!
The key to transforming your dreams to reality is your ability to hold the space for both seeing your current reality - where you’re not yet at your goals yet - and be totally ok with that as you continue working towards achieving them.
A lot of people can’t do this, they give in to the frustration and disappointment of not achieving their goals at the time they want to, or totally giving up and telling themselves it’s not possible.
How do you cultivate this ability to do both - accept and detach from your current situation and at the same time, feel good and positive about taking one step at a time towards your dreams and goals, no matter what’s happening in your life?
This is the topic I share in this week’s episode.
If developing the ability to do this is something that you’re curious about, I’d like to invite you to join my Meetup group for women where we meet each week to go through this demo LIVE so you can experience it first hand for yourself. Sign up at https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/meetup. I look forward to seeing you then!
This week I share a very simple technique to create your perfect life.
Simply answer 2 questions:

And if you want help keeping your vibe high, feeling happy and good as you work towards your goals, then join my Meetup group to experience this for yourself. This is experiential and not something I can ‘teach’ you or ‘explain’ to you in a podcast. It’s something you have to experience yourself.

We all have the rational side of our minds and our more intuitive side.
If you’re like me and have a tendency to engage more with your rational side, perhaps it’s time to explore balancing this out with your intuitive side.
Especially if you still feel like there’s something missing, despite being very successful in your career or life.
In this episode, I share how challenges in my life actually led me to engage more with my intuitive mind because I was out of balance where my rational mind weighed in more on how I approached my career, money and time.
While you can be very successful pushing and driving results from your rational mind, learning to also engage with your intuitive mind can lead to more peace, fulfillment and even more success.
Listen to this episode to hear practical steps you can take to be more guided by your intuitive, subconscious mind and enjoy greater fulfillment and success.
Everyone experiences emotional trauma on some level. But no one taught us how to process it. Like suffering from indigestion, emotional trauma if left unprocessed, becomes a part of us that remains somewhere in our unconscious mind.
This un-integrated, unprocessed emotions we experience from some past negative event can keep us stuck in disempowering behaviors and thought habit loops so we feel a low frequency, chronic dissatisfaction, disillusionment, disappointment, discouragement we feel.
While we can rationalize it away all we want, it’s this unconscious negative emotional trauma that hooks onto us, keeping us where we are rather than where we want to be.
Listen to this episode for the 3 steps I share on how to process and digest your emotional trauma so you can create the life you want to have.
How do you tell the difference between being guided by your higher, wiser, intuitive self and your ego, animalistic self?
Why does it matter anyway?
In this episode, I share how learning to reconnect with your intuition can help you end the cycle of repeated disempowering habits and behaviours so you can achieve your goals and create a life filled with joy, fulfillment, peace and happiness.
Engaging both your intuitive and rational mind helps you be in charge and feel in control of your life versus feeling like you’re subject to external circumstances you can’t control, leading to stress, anxiety and confusion.
I also share details about free online sessions I’ll be launching to help you reconnect with your intuition so you can rebalance that beautiful rational mind of yours with the powerful gift of your intuition! In this week’s episode, I share my process on how to spend your time and energy on activities that actually help you to achieve your career or business goals.
This is a simple process anyone can do, anytime of the year, and not just at the end of the year.
What makes it different from the usual evaluation of goal achievement is that it taps into your intuition at the subconscious level.
This is something that can guide you towards making decisions and taking actions that are aligned with who you truly are, so you can take the right actions that really matter to you.
It seems so simple but it’s a powerful process to help you balance out being too much in your head, especially if you find you’re doing a lot yet still seem to feel stuck and not where you want to be.

The old model for your career where you have to choose between money or your passion is outdated.
Instead, we need a new model for a career where you can make the money you want doing work you love and that energizes you.
The reason why so many people don’t believe this is possible is a combination of not applying the right strategies to do this and not knowing how to manage your beliefs and confidence to make this happen.

When it comes to building a successful career where we do work we love, get paid really well for it, have autonomy over our time and where we work, i.e. the dream life many people have, we often underestimate what it takes to create this.
For every success story you hear, there are many more you don’t hear who are still trying to build the life they’ve always dreamed of.
Today’s episode is for those of you who aren’t quite where you want to be yet.
Just remember this word: Underestimate.
We often underestimate what it takes to create what we want.
But we also underestimate what we can take and what we’re able to go through to make our dreams come true.
Keep trying, keep going, keep improving. You have what it takes to make it happen.
In this week’s podcast episode, I share the 3 signs that tell you when it’s time for a change in your job, what you can do about it and when you should activate your plan.
I also share my perspective about job hopping and how to tell when this is a very important and good thing both from a hiring manager’s perspective and as a job hopper myself earlier in my career.
This week’s episode was inspired by the common fear many of us in corporate #jobs may have - how to have job security in our uncertain world.
It’s one of those things we accept when we step into a #corporate job.
There isn't any guarantee you’ll keep your #job forever, no matter how hard you work.
I share the common misconception many people have about the reasons you get fired or let go from a job.
And what you can do to make sure you become unfirable.
This phrase ‘be different’ kept coming back to me over the past 2 weeks.
Perhaps it was F1 fever…
I’ve been noticing the recurring theme about how different people at the top of their game are.
How unafraid of being different they are.
Being different is tough. It’s scary. It can feel lonely. But it’s what’s needed to be exceptional.
People who are exceptional at what they do aren’t like everyone else. That’s why they’re exceptional. And being exceptional requires you to be different.
I talk more about this idea about being different and how we can be exceptionally different in this week’s podcast episode. Listen here: https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/100
Here are 10 lessons I learned about achieving BIG things in your life.
I recorded this after getting certified as a coach by the MAP Coaching Institute which was a pretty big thing I’d been working on for the past 7 months.
It involved showing up every week for class, clocking tons of client sessions, taking a written exam and a face-to-face interview exam.
It was so intimidating when I started, I didn’t know how I could get it done, but I did.
I share the 10 steps or things to know when you’re trying to achieve big things that matter to you in your life, drawn not just from attaining this certification but also from all the big things I’ve done in my life.
I hope it helps you deal with those uncomfortable feelings we all experience when we step into the unknown.
You may have heard that in order to create your dream life, you must have a vision of it and fully believe in it.
While I’m all about building beliefs that support the life you want, I’m also practical.
Sometimes, we just don’t believe we can create everything we want.
What can you do when this happens? How can you create everything your heart desires even when you don’t believe it’s possible for you?
Listen to this week’s episode to learn the 2 practical things you can do so you can continue to create a life you love even if you don’t believe your dream life is possible.
No matter how many actions you take and plans you make, you’re not going to achieve the results you want until you work on your lack of self belief & trust in your unconscious mind.
You can use all the positive affirmations in the world, all the discipline and determination that you want, but until you clear what’s blocking you in your unconscious mind, you’ll hit a limit and wonder why you can’t get further.
Listen to this week’s episode to learn how to clear those unconscious blocks to create the results you want. Link in bio.
Learn the power of journaling and use it to help you deal with your feelings of stress, anxiety, worry or fear.
Besides helping you process these difficult emotions, journaling can bring fresh insights and inspire you to take the daily actions necessary to get what you want.
Listen to this week’s episode where I break down the 8 steps to using journaling to deal with fear, doubt, worry, stress or anxiety and create a clear plan of action that you’re excited to move forward with.
How do we try to change others?
Effective strategy is to learn how to deal with our emotions because we just have to be ourselves.
You've got to be aware enough to even catch yourself responding or reacting.
Be very self aware of the thoughts that are going through your mind. Whatever physical sensation in your body, just always being in the state of awareness, especially when you get triggered.
If you really want to learn how to handle your emotions, listen to today’s episode.
Do you know what your stories are and how they’re running your life?
We are meaning making machines and we make up stories along the way as we go through life.
Since we tend to remember more of the bad stuff than the good stuff, most of those stories aren’t stories that empower and uplift us, or that give us confidence and believe in ourselves.
That’s why it’s important to catch them, and see them for what they are, and what the role they’re playing in your life.
Listen to this week’s episode where I share how you can debunk the stories that no longer work for you or help you build a life you want.
When we think about living a life we love, we think it’s about doing what we want to do, making our own decisions about how we spend our time, who we’re spending our time with, and what we’re doing.
Yet, many people don’t do this because something is holding them back. This thing that holds them back is worrying about what other people will think, say, criticize or ridicule them.
It’s hard to create a life you want when you go about your life holding back on what you want to do or say because you’re worried about how others will react. This is you still needing other people’s approval and it’s got to stop.
Listen to this week’s episode where I share how you can do this.
In this episode, I share a simple yet powerful practice you can use today to handle your emotions so that you don’t feel stressed out and overwhelmed by strong emotions like fear, anxiety, anger, or panic when things don’t go the way you want them to.
This is my daily practice and I’ve been using it for almost a decade. It has transformed my life and I hope it will help transform yours so you can create a life where you’re free to be yourself and live life the way you want to.

Here’s how to guarantee your success. Be unstoppable. Being unstoppable just means not stopping. Simple right?
So why is it so hard to do? Because you have to learn to hold the space for gratitude and frustration at the same time.
This means being grateful for all the things that aren’t working out for you. Not just those that are.
This isn’t something we do naturally. It’s something we train our minds for. But when you get strong with this, you truly are unstoppable and that’s exactly what guarantees your success.
I talk more about this in today’s episode, so listen in to learn how I work out this brain muscle!

We struggle with time.
Something you want to happen takes too much time.
Something you don’t want isn’t going away fast enough.
Here’s the thing about time to wrap your head around.
If you want to have more time, you have to let it go.
Yes, I know, it doesn’t make sense right?
Because we’ve been taught that if we want something, we go out and grab it, we take it, we control it, we hoard it, we keep and save it.
We definitely don’t just let it go, get away from us, leave us. We think doing that means we ‘lose’ it.
But that really is the secret to creating more time for all the things that are important to you.
Enough with all the productivity tools. They’re good, but they’re tools that support how you manage time.
They don’t create more time for you. YOU create more time for you.
Listen to today’s episode where I share the paradoxical nature of time and how to make more of it.

This week, I share my thoughts about what true freedom is.
We seek it, thinking if we had more money, more time, more energy, more success, more love, more this or that, it’ll solve our problems and we’ll live happily ever after.
Sure, you need basic necessities to live.
I’ve met people with so little materially, yet are full of faith and believe in themselves.
I’ve also met people with so much, but live in so much fear that they’re going to run out.
This intrigues me. As I reflect on my life, what I’ve gone through and what I’ve learned and observed from others, I realized it isn’t just about how much you have or don’t have in your physical world.
It’s how you handle whatever cards you’re dealt with as you go through life that makes the difference. And this begins in your mind, your ability to handle your thoughts and therefore your feelings and the corresponding actions you take.
I interviewed Nathania Stambouli on this week’s podcast episode.
Nathania Stambouli, founder and creator of Yogi Flight School and SoulTribe Adventures is a 500 E-RYT Yoga Teacher and Transformational Coach. She teaches people from around the world how to defy their perceived limitations and fly - on their hands and in their lives. She is a cat lady, lover of iced coffee and lives to lead people towards the most free and expressed version of who they are.
We talked about how Nathania quit her comfortable corporate job that she hated and what it was like for her to step out and finally do the work that she loves and the safety nets she put in place so she could get past the psychological barriers that made it scary for her to do this earlier.
Nathania’s story is going to resonate with those of you who know you’re meant for something more, but feel afraid of leaving your current comfort zone. I love it that Nathania helps you overcome your mindset barriers through such a physical activity like yoga. You literally see in real time how what you once thought impossible is possible once you get out of your own way and see things from a different perspective!

In today’s podcast, I talk about why positive thinking and affirmations don’t work.
As someone who used to be very rationally and logically driven, positive thinking and affirmations sounded like fluffy stuff that perhaps worked for others, but not for a practical, grounded, working mom with a family to support.
But I found out it wasn’t that positive thinking itself doesn’t work. It’s when we don’t understand the mechanics of how our mind works and use it to help us rather than hinder us from creating the life we want that’s the crux of the problem.
Understanding how your mind works, specifically how your thoughts can either help you get what you want or create more of what you don’t is key.
Listen to this week’s episode to learn how to use your mind and your thoughts to help you rather than stop you from getting what you want.
This episode was inspired by a question one of my clients had about how many coaching sessions she could expect to have before she’s done with coaching. I explain what coaching is and how you can benefit from having a coach.
You’ll also hear how my approach is slightly different from traditional coaching because I think we live in a world where too much weight is given to our conscious thinking that’s caused us to lose touch with our innate wisdom that knows what’s best for us.
We need to rebalance this by learning to trust our own innate wisdom which is our internal compass to take actions which are just right for us.
Listen to this episode to find out how you can begin to create the life you want from a more holistic approach.
No one taught us how to handle our emotions.
We go to school and learn lots of information, facts and how to use our rational mind to create plans and goals for what we want to achieve.
Where did you learn how to handle your emotions?
If you’re lucky, maybe your parents did this, or you had a wise mentor or teacher who shared their advice about this.
When you encounter difficulties in life that make you feel big, strong emotions like fear of failure, disappointment or rejection, how do you deal with it?
In today’s episode, I share how your ability to handle your emotions is key to your success. Unlike what we’ve been conditioned to believe, especially for us women in the corporate world, being in touch with your feelings and using them to guide your decisions and actions doesn’t make you unreliable or unstable at work.
Your ability to use your emotions to help you achieve your goals is the difference between being successful at creating the life you want and settling for less than what you envision for yourself.
Listen to the episode where I share how leaning into my emotions has helped me achieve things I’d never imagined I could.

Many of you are familiar with your rational conscious mind. It’s what we’ve been taught to use a lot growing up and in school. It’s almost to a point where there’s now an imbalance between your conscious mind and your superconscious mind. We’re used to dismissing and disregarding our superconscious mind. This is the part of us that some people refer to as your innate wisdom, your intuition or your higher level of consciousness.
The interesting thing is that as kids, we’re very in tune with this part of ourselves. But over time, dealing with the disappointments and ‘harsh reality’ of life has conditioned us to push this aside as being unrealistic or unreliable to create the life we want.
Instead, we believe that it’s our rational, logical mind that’s more important in helping us achieve goals. Sure, this is the part of us that’s needed to make plans and take actions. But that should be done in consultation with our superconscious mind, rather than to push away or ignore this part of us.
So what is this superconscious mind anyway and how can you use it to create the life you want? Tune in to this week’s episode where I answer these questions.
My guest this week is Christine Looi, a divorcee with 3 kids. Christine was retrenched from a high paying job, and subsequently faced financial instability and eventually lost hope.

This is the final step in the 4-step podcast mini series to tap into your feminine energy.
This is the all important step to get different results.
We often think it’s what we’re ‘doing’ that needs to change to get the results we want.
Either we do more, or we change what we’re doing, thinking that’s what’s going to make the difference.
While action is important, it’s the kind of action that matters too.
And the kind of action you take is determined by the quality of your thoughts that reflect your beliefs, your identity, and your values, all of which can be affected by our past experiences.
More importantly, the emotions and meanings we’ve associated with those past experiences.
Listen to this week’s episode to find out more about how you can shift your thoughts so you can take the kind of different actions to get you what you want.
If you missed the earlier steps, you can catch up here:
Step 1 (https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/79)
Step 2 (https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/80)
Step 3 (https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/81)
Today’s episode is step 3 of the 4 steps to tap into your feminine energy.
This step is all about ‘knowing’.
I share the different levels of knowing. There’s the ‘knowing’ where we amass information and head knowledge.
Then there’s a ‘knowing’ that’s what we feel certain about. Like the wind, or gravity, which we can’t see or touch, but we know it’s there because we feel it.
Listen to this episode to find out more about tapping into this deeper level of ‘knowing’ to help you get the results you want.
If you missed the previous 2 steps, you can listen to them here:
Step1 (https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/79)
Step 2 (https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/80)
Today’s podcast is step 2 in the 4 step process of tapping into your feminine energy.
Step 2 is all about being curious about the signs you receive in life and how it informs you about being your true self and living a happy life that brings you true joy and satisfaction.
How do you tell the difference whether something is a sign or a calling for you to do something to live a happier, fuller life, or just mere coincidence?
If you’re like what I used to be, you may find yourself using your rational, conscious mind and go getting masculine energy more than your gentle, feeling, feminine energy.
There’s value in both, but in today’s world, many of us are out of balance. We use too much of our masculine energy, dismissing our feminine energy as unreliable and unproven or even unproductive.
Listen to today’s episode for step 2 to tap into our feminine energy to rebalance yourself and live a life you want.
If you missed step 1, go to https://sharonsinghsidhu.com/79 to catch up!
When it comes to achieving your goals and dreams, you need 2 types of actions.
The one we’re most familiar with is the go-getting, striving for results type of action, also called your masculine energy. And you don’t need to be a man to have this type of energy.
What’s often neglected is the feminine energy. This is about ‘stopping’ yourself from taking an action, pausing, paying attention or an allowing type of action. And men also have this.
We need both in balance to create the life we want.
However, for most of us, we haven’t been exposed to the feminine energy as much as the masculine energy.
So today, I want to share the first of 4 steps on how you can develop this feminine energy and balance it with your masculine energy.
Remember to come back next week for the second step!
P.S. Go to sharonsinghsidhu.com to book your coaching session with me if you want to change your mindset to create the life you want.
It’s not actions that get you results. It’s the thoughts & beliefs behind your actions that do.
No one gets from zero to hero overnight. Not even weeks & months. Maybe even years.
But somehow, many people get discouraged & give up when they don’t get what they want.
Why?
Because they’ve lost the belief that they have what it takes to make it happen.
Maybe you’ve heard of success stories where the person who achieved success said she didn’t know what she was doing or she couldn’t believe she could achieve such success.
It’s not that she didn’t believe she could make it. It was because she was willing to stay open, curious and give herself permission to try and maybe even make mistakes and learn from them.
This is not the same as the person who hustles until the cows come home and still wonder why they haven’t made it.
The difference is that even though the successful person may not know exactly how to do everything or how everything would pan out, she had a small bit of belief that it would.
She could focus on that seed of belief and tuck aside the fear, resistance and doubt, at least for a while, to keep trying.
The hustler on the other hand, was doing all the doing, taking all the action, meanwhile, was feeling deep down she didn’t have what it takes to achieve the success she wants. She may have even said daily affirmations, yet had a seed of doubt.
She was subconsciously focused on this seed of doubt, instead of that seed of belief.
Ultimately, it’s your thoughts & beliefs that create your results.
I talk more about how your thoughts & beliefs are what get you results in this week’s podcast. Click on the link in my bio to listen.
I’m offering 5 FREE coaching sessions to help shift your thoughts & beliefs to 10 women. Yes, that’s 5 FREE sessions EACH to 10 of you. Go to https://sharonsinghsidhu.com for details.

For years, I held the belief that changing mindsets and attitudes is impossible.
As a trainer and recruiter, it’s what I’d always told myself.
That’s why I would say, we can train for skills, but we can’t train for mindset.
Today, I share how this long-held belief of mine, even as a trainer, recruiter and mindset coach was broken and turned upside down on its head.
I’m so grateful to the MAP Coaching Institute and what I’m learning in my certification program for revealing this to me.
Changing your mindset doesn’t have to be hard, or take a long time.
Listen to this episode as I share the insights and lessons I’m learning when it comes to mindset change being easy and fast.
In this episode, I share more about how exactly your mind works based on neuroscience and mindfulness research and how you can use this to help you deal with stress, fear and self-doubt that we all face when we’re trying to do work we love and create a life we want, or go after any big dreams for that matter.
Mindset is a big, vague word and while many of us understand the importance of mindset in helping us achieve our goals and reach success, there isn’t a methodical, valid, scientific system that’s proven to get results.
At least not until I discovered the MAP Method of changing Mindsets.
The MAP Method has provided the framework for us to change our mindsets in an organized and proven way so I’m so excited to talk about it with you this week.
It’s also made me realize my own 4-step process that I’ve been doing has actually been working on these principles and that’s why it’s worked out so well for me to help me overcome my own fears, limiting beliefs and self-doubt to create a career I want.
You can find the resources I mentioned on the show here: https://twopointzero.me/resources
After interviewing a number of women who are either running a business, in careers or pursuing a cause they love and believe in, I thought I’d share my own journey of how I ended up doing work I love, running this podcast on the side of my full-time job, pursuing my coaching certification and generally doing what’s needed to create the life I want.
In this episode, I share the following 9 tips to make a living doing work you love and how it looks like in my real life.
Here are the 9 points I share. Listen to the full episode for how this actually plays out in my life.
I hope these 9 insights help you relate it to your own life and get you thinking about what kind of life you want to create.
I’m also really excited to launch my Courageous & Confident Coaching Program where I help working women shift their beliefs of what’s possible, dissolve fears & doubts, and build mental and emotional resilience so that they can make a living doing work they love. My guest this week is Shelby, a full-time artist and online content creator of Little Coffee Fox, and an online art education platform called Foxsy.
She loves watercolors, digital art, lettering, and tons of other artistic mediums, and helping people discover the power of creativity and how transformative it can be.
Shelby strives to help her students get in touch with art again and she’s definitely helped me rediscover my creative side that I abandoned since I was a kid because I thought I was ‘bad’ at art and it was a waste of time and money.
We talk about Shelby’s own journey from her very practical decision to study human factors psychology and her unexpected journey into the world of art as her career.
The bottomline is that sometimes doing something you love and turning it into your career involves lots of trial and error that’s not always neat, tidy and perfect. I love Shelby’s guiding motto of ‘done not perfect’. This is how she’s built a business that both she and her husband run full-time. Shelby is an inspiration of what’s possible when you give yourself permission to play and do the apparent ‘impractical thing’!

Janine is also the author of Welcome to the Grief Club, an illustrated book on grief for anyone who is grieving the death of a loved one.
Janine started making cards in 2011 as a way to reflect on and honor the lives we actually lead, versus the ones we think we should. Specifically, Janine uses a letterpress to make her cards by hand, one by one.
Her goal is to create products that encourage us to embrace the diversity, complexity, and kinship in our lived experiences. Janine’s hope is always that others will recognize some of themselves in what she creates and feel a bit more seen, more connected, and less alone.
We talked about grieving, making decisions, time management, what it means to honour yourself, recovery from setbacks, acceptance when things don’t go as planned and designing a life that suits you, rather than doing what you think you should do or what others say you should.

Diana Hill, Ph.D. is a modern psychologist, mom, and co-author of ACT Daily Journal:
Get unstuck and live fully with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is the founder and host of the podcast show Your LIfe in Process and a co-founder of the Psychologists Off the Clock podcast, blogs for Psychology Today and offers regular teachings in compassion and ACT for clinicians and the general public. Through her online teachings, executive coaching, and private therapy practice Diana encourages clients to let go of unhealthy striving and build psychological flexibility so that they can live more meaningful and fulfilling lives. Diana practices what she preaches in her daily life as a mom of two, homesteader, and yoga teacher.
I first learned about the work for Dr Diana Hill on her ‘From Thriving To Striving Summit’. I then worked through the ACT Daily Journal that Dr Diana Hill and Dr Debby Sorensen wrote, which is a 8-week program using the core processes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you deal with life’s challenges and live a happier and more fulfilling life.
Diana has a way of explaining ACT in a simple and practical way so it was a real treat and honour to have her on the podcast to talk about how she ended up doing the work she does and explain a little bit about ACT.
What I found most valuable was learning that living a values-based life and choosing what’s important for us can sometimes be scary. And that can be why we avoid it. But choosing to live a life of meaning requires us to do difficult things sometimes. ACT equips us with the tools to do this and roll with life’s punches.

Ok, full disclosure. When I first heard about my guest this week, I didn’t think to ask her about being on the podcast. I saw Serein Wu, beauty YouTuber and thought, she’s beautiful, and what's more, she used to be a dancer and an actor in LA! Way out of my league!

My guest this week is someone I had on episode 59 when we talked about her career as a trailblazer in the tough industry of advertising and her personal journey with IVF which also led to her instrumental role in shaping Singapore’s policy on IVF. She’s none other than Linda Locke.
Linda is a highly awarded creative with over 300 awards to her name including a string of accolades from local, regional and international shows and a Gold Cannes Lion winner and part of the prestigious Cannes Lions judging panel.
The 10th anniversary of the Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards in 2008 saw Linda receiving the ‘Newsweek Lifetime Achievement Award’ in recognition of her three decades of service to the Singapore Advertising Industry. Linda was the first woman to achieve the award.
Linda’s extensive experience and accomplishments makes it such an honour and inspiration to me. She’s someone who breaks boundaries, challenges the status quo and works with great tenacity for what she believes is the right thing to do.
She calls herself stubborn, I see it as resilience and someone who always finds a way to make her ideas and dreams a reality.
I invited Linda back because the last time we spoke Linda briefly mentioned her work to get Agnes, her great grand aunt's contribution at creating the first hybrid orchid and Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim recognised.
This episode is a little longer than usual because I really wanted to get the behind the scenes of how Linda worked with multiple parties locally and abroad and in some instances, rather high level parties, to reinstate the correct facts of the history behind Agnes’ work with the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid. Along the way, we talked about growing up today versus in earlier times, the impact of social media on our kids, storytelling, her new book series and more!
So grab a coffee or take us on your walk, your work out or drive and eavesdrop on our conversation about pushing through boundaries, following through to the end to get the resolution we want, how to work through challenges and roadblocks when going for something you really desire, growing up, parenting and more!

This week I speak with Snehal Ponde, Life & Career Coach and a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner. What makes Snehal’s journey from an HR professional to a Coach special, is how she decided to pursue her passion for Coaching while battling Stage 4 breast cancer.
Snehal and her husband moved to Singapore from Mumbai in 2019. In April 2020, the couple welcomed a healthy baby boy. She got detected with breast cancer when her baby was five-months old and had to initiate her treatment immediately since the cancer had spread to her lungs, liver and bone.
The last 16 months has seen her undergoing chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and radiation. Despite the pain and problems associated with cancer and its treatment, Snehal was determined not to allow cancer to define who she is and what she does.
While her treatment is still on, she is keen on speaking about her journey, in her quest to spread awareness about breast cancer, finding her passion and not treating cancer like a death sentence.
We go beyond talking about her cancer to discuss spirituality, one of my favourite topics. No one would fault Snehal if she had a negative perspective on life, but what’s so inspiring is that in spite of everything she’s going through - the uncertainties, fears, doubts and more - Snehal remains positive and determined to live life fully.
If you’re at a place where you feel everything is at a deadend, listen to this episode to get a wider perspective on life and your incredible power to make a difference. You’ll be inspired by Snehal’s story.

This week, I spoke with Dr Deborah Ward about the consequences of basing our self-worth on financial success. I was interested in this topic because I wanted to understand why some people place so much importance on financial success compared with others. I learned from Dr Ward that it’s because some people derive their sense of self-worth from how financially successful they are. We also discussed what to do if you’re someone like that.
Besides the topic of deriving self-worth from financial success, Dr Ward also shares her insights and experiences about why she decided to pursue a career in academia and what you’ll need to be aware of if you’re considering going into academia. We talked about the key to success for a career in research, like the need for collaboration, of finding good mentors, how to view failure differently, and the tenacity, independence and balance needed to thrive.
Dr. Deborah Ward recently graduated with her Ph.D. in Social-Personality Psychology from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. She earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Muhlenberg College, where she double majored in Psychology and Russian Studies, and her M.S. in Psychology from Villanova University. Currently, Dr. Ward is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Saginaw Valley State University.
Broadly, Dr. Ward studies topics related to identity threat. People are susceptible to identity-threat when they receive negative feedback related to important aspects of the self (e.g., competence, appearance). Much of her work revolves around the consequences of basing self-worth on financial success.
More recently, she has applied this work to academic contexts with the goal of understanding how to identify circumstances – in the classroom or university-wide – that could threaten students’ self-esteem or self-efficacy, and potentially discourage them from meeting or pursuing academic goals. Dr. Ward has also conducted research on numerous other topics, including romantic relationships, economic inequality, cultural norms, and coping with stressors.
I’m grateful to Dr Ward for sharing her perspective, wisdom and insights from her work and her own journey and I know you’ll enjoy this one!
You can connect with Dr Ward through email at deward@svsu.edu
This week’s episode is with Ashleigh Rennie. Ashleigh is a conversion copywriter and copy strategist. She works with high-performing business women all over the world, who are looking to increase their impact, expand their audience, and connect with their communities in the most authentic and human way imaginable.
It was Siobhain Danaher, one of my previous guests, who introduced me to Ashleigh because Ashleigh had written a blog post about how having to adapt to changing financial circumstances has led to the kind of relationship she has with money. We also talked about how she ended up doing what she does now, which is to help women entrepreneurs discover and speak in their truest and most authentic voice.
These 2 themes of money and authenticity couldn’t have come at a better time as this podcast transitions from one that used to primarily discuss our relationship with money to one that now is all about helping you follow your passions and pursue your dreams to create a life your heart desires. To do that, you have to find who your true self is. You can’t speak in your authentic voice, or say and do what your heart desires if you don’t know who your true self even is.
Ashleigh also recommends a book, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, which is a 12-week workbook that I’m now halfway through and I thoroughly enjoy and suggest you pick up if you want to find your inner voice and creativity that is essential to living a life of passion and doing what your heart loves.
I see all this happening in perfect timing to support this transition for the podcast and for me personally in finding and speaking in my most authentic, true voice, from my heart. All of which is to say how everything is always happening synchronously for us, if we care to pay attention.
Ashleigh is so much fun to talk to and please check out her website and follow her on Instagram. Her newsletters are always a blast and she has an awesome quiz to find out your brand’s unique voice. The links are found below.

This week’s episode is a continuation of where we left off from Episode 052 with Lagom Kids.
When I asked co-founder of Lagom Kids, Anna if she had any final advice at the end of the episode for you listeners, she suggested for women to ‘freeze your eggs!’.
Well that intrigued me and we had a brief chat about it after the interview and I found out a little more about her personal journey with IVF. That’s how we also talked about Linda Locke from last week’s episode. Linda was Anna’s mentor through her IVF journey.
If you’re wondering whether you should freeze your eggs, or know a loved one or friend who is considering this, or maybe you just want to learn a bit more about this topic, then I hope Anna’s honest and open sharing will give you some insight from her perspective.
I really appreciate Anna offering to share this personal experience in the hope of helping someone out there. Don’t forget to let Anna know if what she’s shared helped you in some way.
Enjoy!

This week’s podcast is an epic one!
I talked to Linda Locke, accomplished leader in the advertising industry, IVF warrior, children’s book author and great grandniece of Agnes Joaquim, the brilliant woman who created the first hybrid orchid and Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid in 1893.
We talked about her advancement as graphic designer to senior leadership in the tough industry of advertising, her heart wrenching and triumphant journey with IVF, how she helped to shape the history of IVF in Singapore and so much more.
Linda shares her wisdom about succeeding as a woman in a fast-paced, highly demanding industry like advertising and when she switched gears with her decision to become a mom. That decision led her right into her next role as IVF warrior and again, Linda is a trailblazer here, helping to shape Singapore’s IVF policy.
Here are the key points Linda touches on about that she thinks helped her succeed:
Linda’s tenacity and resilience is clear when you hear her talk about her career and IVF journey. You will be inspired.

When I embarked on my journey to find out how I could live a financially free life where I could break free from the tyranny of being worried and stressed out about not having enough money for the lifestyle I wanted for me and our kids, I never thought I'd find it in MINDFULNESS.
As I delved deeper into mindfulness, I discovered that practising mindfulness is exactly the thing that brought the peace of mind, confidence and a sense of abundance and gratitude about money that I was searching for. It wasn’t making more money that did it for me. It was through mindfulness that I found the security and reassurance I'd always been looking for externally - be that in other people, my education and qualifications or my job.
The practice of mindfulness has helped me to stop stressing about money and still enjoy life, even while paying off our 6-figure business debt, even through having my income reduced because of the pandemic, and living with the uncertainties of corporate life during a period of mergers and acquisitions.
Listen to this episode to learn how mindfulness can help you stress less over your money and financial life.

This week’s episode is a fun one with Anna & Toni who run Lagom Kids, the first homegrown kids retail and activity brand to use comfort, exploration and experience to inspire play to learn and discover this beautiful world of ours.
Lagom is a Swedish word that means “just right” and Anna & Toni share how they are using the theme of Goldilocks & The Three Bears to bring children on a journey of self-discovery and growth with the idea of "not too little and not too much" by seeking out what is "just right" for them. This is how our kids will experience and live a life of happiness.
Toni and Anna from Lagom Kids may have grown up worlds apart, but they shared the same free spirit of adventure, exploration, and self-discovery as young girls. They bring their passion and collective life experience as individuals, wives and mothers with their own families to inspire play, stories and confidence to a new generation of children.
I loved this conversation with Anna & Toni because we talked about not just how they came to start, run, grow and evolve their business but also:

As a breadwinner and dealing with moments of having a negative account balance, Gretta shares how even despite such challenging times, she’s been able to coach herself and adopt the mindset necessary to create money in her life.

‘Don’t give up!’
‘Winners don’t quit! Quitters don’t win!’
Don’t you ever sometimes feel so sick of hearing so much ‘ra-ra’ motivational talk?
Especially when you’ve been giving your all, pressing on, never giving up...until now.
You feel like you’ve had enough, and you just want to throw in the towel.
Well, that might actually be a very good idea!
What?
Yes, in this week’s episode, I talk about how giving up actually helped me achieve my goals.
When you feel like you’ve had enough, it may just be a sign for you to give up the fight.
I mean give up fighting and resisting the current situation you find yourself in.
As much as you don’t like it, and wished you were somewhere else, thinking like that is precisely what’s preventing you from achieving your goals and dreams!
Listen to this week’s episode to learn how to ‘give up’ so that you can actually get what you want.
This week, I talked to Kate Kordsmeier, writer, educator, and creative entrepreneur.
For nearly a decade, Kate was a full-time, freelance journalist for over 125 magazines, newspapers and websites, including USA Today, EatingWell, Cooking Light, Travel + Leisure, The Washington Post, Forbes, Esquire, Women’s Health, Clean Eating, Wine Enthusiast, SELF and Real Simple. She’s also the author of the cookbook Atlanta Chef’s Table: Extraordinary Recipes from the Big Peach.
In October 2015, after being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Leaky Gut Syndrome (IBS), and hypothyroidism, and subsequently healing her symptoms naturally, Kate created Root + Revel, a holistic wellness blog with a focus on true mind-body-soul health.
After turning the blog into a profitable, six-figure business, Kate started getting questions from people nearly daily about how she did it. So she started The Six-Figure Blog Academy, her digital course where Kate empowers her students with actionable advice and inspirational content to help them make their dreams of being their own boss a reality.
We talked about Kate’s journey from journalist to blogger to running her 6-figure business, the tactics and strategies, and more interestingly, the money mindsets needed to grow your business and income.

Money goes beyond just the dollars and cents.
We kinda know this in our heads, but do we live and apply this knowledge in our everyday lives?
Especially when we’re pressed a little bit financially?
As someone whose instinctive knee-jerk reaction to any kind of news that seemed to threaten my financial well-being was fear, worry and anxiety, I can tell you that unless you make a conscious effort to stay aware of how life is making you feel especially around money, it’s easy to let money worries completely take over.
So how can we live with more conscious awareness when it comes to something as practical and tangible to money?
This week’s podcast episode goes into greater detail to look at the spiritual and energetic side of money with financial freedom coach, Cindy Shaw. It’s easy to confuse the way to wealth and well-being as more ‘doing’ and ‘action’ alone, when actually, it’s when we’re able to do the inner soul work that everything else falls into place.
That doesn’t mean all you have to do is close your eyes and think about riches for it to land your lap. What it means is to find the balance between achievement externally that’s aligned to achievement internally in your soul.

In this episode, I talk about what doesn’t really get talked about as much when it comes to good money management and living a financially free life.
Conventional ideas about being good with money focuses on how to cut your spending or stick to a budget. These operate from what’s called a ‘scarcity’ approach - the idea that money will ‘run out’. Even investing and saving stems from this fear that if we don’t invest and save, we won’t have enough for later because we’ll run out.
While having healthy money habits such as not being reckless with our spending is important, what we can do more of is to also pay attention to how we can make more, because there’s only so much you can save and cut.
The first step to making more is to master ourselves, particularly our mindset about how we see our own value. Without recognizing your own value, how are you ever going to convince and demonstrate to others your value to them, so that they will pay you more?
Embracing a more abundant perspective to your life and yourself is how you can start to acknowledge your own inherent value and look at how you can continuously grow to increase your value to others and ultimately, make more.

As promised, this was the first interview I had with Deon back in the beginning of 2019. It wasn’t until last month that I got this podcast up and running and had Deon back as my official first guest on the podcast! In case you missed that, you can listen to it here. Life sometimes has other things planned for us! Apologies on the audio quality - this older interview was before I had a professional podcasting team helping with my podcast production.
In this interview, Deon shares 8 tips on how to achieve success as a working mother. I wrote an article summarising our conversation back in 2019. You can read that article here.

I first heard this definition about financial independence by Jim Rohn while reading the book, 'Banned Money Secrets' by Richard Dotts. And it shifted my perspective about how we often think about financial independence or financial freedom.
In the end, financial freedom and independence boils down to what feels right for you. There isn't a specific amount of savings you must have, or a fixed technique you must follow to make money or the best way to make money.
Beyond a few sound, basic principles, how you go about becoming financially independent and free is really up to you. So make it your own, stop doubting yourself, and let your journey unfold as you take one step at a time.
In this very first guest interview, I speak with Deon Senturk, CEO and founder of CLIMB, a leadership development programme at the Singapore Management University.
Deon talks about how she ended up doing work she's passionate about, and how it doesn't have to be a trade-off between doing what you love and being financially free and secure.
Listen in to hear about Deon's journey, how CLIMB is adapting to the current uncertain and quickly evolving environment, and how you too, can do purposeful work and be financially free.

Ya, I know, you're wondering, 'what do you mean discovering my 'life's purpose' will help me become financially free?'
Your life's purpose isn't where most people will start when they want to be financially free.
Most people will start by finding out how to invest, trade, and a variety of other methods how to make money, or how to get better at making and sticking with a budget, etc.
But you're not like most people now, are you?
In this episode, I share why the last place most people think to start to be financially free is actually the FIRST PLACE you should start at.

Have you been burnt by financial mistakes and setbacks before? I know I have. In today's episode, I share how you can turn financial mistakes and setbacks into your arsenal and part of your toolkit for your financial freedom journey.
Most people think achieving financial freedom means you never have to worry about money because you have lots of money at your disposal. While that certainly helps, it's not more financial information and content you need to reach that. It's about exercising your choice to be financially autonomous, to take charge of your money and finances. Listen to this episode to find out the 3 things you can do right now to become financially free.

Join me on this introductory episode where I talk about the elusive and coveted notion of FINANCIAL FREEDOM - what is it, how to get it, why most people never reach it, and how YOU can become truly financially free.
I also share my personal journey to financial freedom, who I am, why am I qualified to talk about this, and what you must do to become a financially confident woman and experience financial freedom for yourself.
Unlike many personal finance or money podcasts, you won't hear more financial information and jargon about the best investing strategy, the hottest stock, or how you must cut coupons, save every single cent, and live a frugal life so you can retire by 30.
Instead, I believe that the very first step to becoming financially confident, independent, and free is to transform yourself. The person you are, your purpose in life, who you are being, your identity, values, and beliefs. Although I'm all about the mindset and identity, I'm also all about taking the right action to get real, long-lasting results.
This podcast will teach you the practical actions to take AND the deep inner work you must embark on if you want to become a financially confident woman, and ultimately experience true financial freedom.
