Grosse Ile's history goes back well before, but we celebrate the founding as July 6, 1776. It sits in a place that is a crossroads of history, a superhighway of commerce, a convergence of nature, a center of innovation, a thorofare of Prohibition, and a playground of Metro Detroit's industrialists. The community is made up of layers of creativity, compassion, and ingenuity. As a host, Ben Fogt starts conversations about those elements that contribute to Grosse Ile's personality.

However, in the event the last Thursday is a holiday; the Membership Committee will meet on the Thursday prior to the holiday." Call the club or check online before going, I would suggest.
