In the second installment of the Inspire Series, Chad Gravenorst (registered biokineticist) joins the show to discuss his journey from playing baseball as a youngster in South Africa to working full time for Major League Baseball (MLB). Chad talks about what it is like to work for MLB and we look at the path he took to get to this point. Studying at UWC, and then working at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa, Chad details his experiences and the opportunities that led to him meeting Mark Melancon (one of the best closers in the game, currently with the San Francisco Giants). We then talk about his decision to take up an internship in Houston, Texas at the Fairchild Sports Performance and what it was like to come back to South Africa.
