NOMADS
Diablo 4’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, launches October 8. We’ll journey to the jungles of Nahantu to track down Mephisto, with access to a new Spiritborn class and Mercenaries to fight alongside us. The expansion will also introduce the Dark Citadel (a four player raid), and the Kurast Undercity (a time attack dungeon).

Season 6 also starts on October 8, with a revamped leveling experience, D4’s take on runewords, new endgame activities, and a group finder.

No Man Sky just launched a new update – Aquarius – Fishing!

WoW
In Wow Retail, players were able to unlock Earthen as an Allied Race following a campaign update this week. The cinematics are glorious!

In a coming patch, Drak’thyr will be playable as six additional classes: Hunter, Warlock, Mage, Warrior, Rogue and Priest, with shadow priests getting some cool visuals for their wings.
The first Raid of War Within – Nerub-ar Palace – opens September 10 and Queen Ansurak has much to answer for.

Blizzard also announced plans for WoW’s 20th Anniversary, an event so massive that it’s going to run through November and December.

Features include a revamped Blackrock Depths raid/dungeon, Timewalking for Deadmines, Dire Maul (both sides), and Stratholme (also both sides). There will also be timey-wimey stuff with Chromie at the Caverns of Time, PvP fun in Alterac Valley, and special Warcraft 3 flavored items at the Trading Post.

Among notable loot, there will be a new mount: Coldflame Tempest – a blue version of Ashes of Al’ar, baby Doom Lord battle pets, and an updated Appearance for the Iconic Tier 2 armor sets. Paladins are rejoicing (YEAH!) and Gustyail can’t wait for a new set of goofy moose antlers. Death Knights, Demon Hunters, Monks and Evokers will get brand new sets, since they were not around way back then.

Raids and mythic 0s are opening with this coming reset. Mythic plus the following reset.

There will be timewalking Zul’farrak as well.

WoW Classic

Got my first Sinestra kill, so only 2 hard modes (Nefarian and Council) remain and I doubt we’ll ever do Council HM. Still making good gold running a gDKP on Saturdays, so good time in game overall, even if I’m not sure of attendance with Firelands and the rest of the expansion, as most players will skip the rest until Mists of Pandaria,

And me, I will be a lot on Ashes of Creation, starting 10/25 Alpha 2

The next Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXXIII (83) Set for September 28! This is the first live letter that will debut some of what will come with Patch 7.1. A new set of updates to the Graphical Update have also been announced, but most of the changes are incredibly subtle and difficult to read over a podcast, so check out the lodestone if you’re interested!

Star Trek Day was Sept 8th! To celebrate, STO is running a special event until the 20th! At Earth and DS9 you can visit all the starring ships from Star Trek movies and television. Hailing all 10 ships will grant a special title!

There is big stuff on the horizon for lotro. Over the next 5 weeks, a casual stroll on Wednesday afternoon will be giving a sneak peek at the new landscapes in the upcoming expansion “Legacy of Morgoth”. Also, the starting area “Before the Shadow” is now available to everyone with a coupon code for 2 free steads. The code for the steads is GALADRIELSGIFT. The new instance “Dragon and the Storm” is now on the live servers. This too has a coupon code for a free green dragon portrait frame and a golden drakeling pet by using the code SMAUGSSPOILS. Be advised that both codes are 1/ account so use it wisely.

Tuesdays – MFN 9pm EDT

Wednesday Ops Team has a spot open for permanent member 9pm EDT

Wednesdays Stask and Machete run PvP. Alternated between low level and max level. 8:30pm EDT

Fridays alternate between GSF, Master Mode FPs, and stuff on SV. 8:30pm EDT

Game Stuff:

There have been a few updates in the last few months.

7.5 and 7.5.1 have been released.

7.5 had the next part of the story and ended on a bit of a cliff hanger. Interested to see where it goes from here. Might be some good surprises coming for us.

7.5.1 launched the next Galactic Season The Greatest Bounty. Bounty Contract week is active while the Season is going on. No new companion again which is good. Also no rep except the one that is for the Bounty Brokers Association.

DvL bosses have returned to the game. Only the ones that are needed for the weekly objectives. Can be tough, but with enough people it can be a bit easier. This is something that we have been focusing on for MFN.

Only the first 16 in a group get drops from the boss for some reason. Tokens are currently per character, but will be legacy wide once the patch goes in on 10 Sept. Vendors for those tokens have some new items that are legacy bound, but old stuff has restrictions. Shared tagging works, but is restricted to the same faction.

A new set of Date Night with Vette and Aric Jorgan. Timothy Omundson returns to voice Aric Jorgan.

Twitch drops (going until 9/16) – speeder

Items in the Cartel Market inspired by The Acolyte and Star Wars: Visions.

Swoop racing is coming mid Sept.

Just a note before we get too far into the show. As you may or may not know, AIE lost one of our greats on August 16th. Our dear friend, guildmate, fellow member of FERT, creator of Overly Dramatic news, and podcast co-host, James “Acuzod” Jefferies lost his battle with cancer. He was loved by so many and made all of us who knew him just a little better. He is survived by his amazing wife Jodi, their kids, Jennifer, Kimberly, and Sami, and grandson Nathan. Zod will be remembered for his humor and his kindness, and his voice will live in this podcast, as it is his voice you hear on all of the bumpers! Oh, and if you see Acuzod online, it is his grandson, Nathan, playing on his Papa’s account.

Noob Raid is officially on break due to the new expansion. It will resume mid to late September.

It’s pretty quiet in WoW right now. Just kidding! New expansion The War Within officially launches tomorrow (Aug 26) but players who bought the Epic Edition have had access since Thursday and many are already level 80. It’s doable in about 3 hours if you can ignore side quests (i.e. not Gustyail) and we ask that everyone resist the urge to discuss major plot twists – and there are some doozies – in Guild chat.

In War Within, we meet the Earthen, Dwarves who will be an Allied Race, and the Arathi, a group of mainly Humans and Elves who were accidentally stranded in Hallowfall on what was supposed to be a 3-hour tour. (Wait? Did I get that right?)

There are 36 new mounts to obtain, including a lynx, fire bees, a giant mole and several mech suits. Some require rep, and the Darkmoon Faire starting next Sunday will help with that and has profession quests as well.

To help carry all the new quest items and loot, there are two free 34-slot bags available. Break the Kaja Cola Machine at the Inn in the Ringing Deeps (59.0, 64.3) to get a Goblin Mini Fridge. (WoWhead has details.) The Windswept Satchel can be found in Hallowfall at 30.2, 38.8 on a ledge at the Priory of the Sacred Flame.

SWTOR
As Max’s retirement, in real life, has gotten busy, Corley has been promoted to GM/Game Director for AIE in SWTOR. Congradudolences!

The SUP ops team has an opening for a full time spot. We run from 8-10 pm (Max time) on Wednesday nights. We mainly run story mode ops on the imp side. We are very new to ops friendly. If you are interested, let Maellung know, please.

A couple things to add: Swtor is having its first ever twitch drop event. For four hours of watching swtor streamers, you get a Orlean Voidstream Mount. A number of guildies have already gotten it, so if you need any help making it happen, just post in discord.

Also, Galactic Seasons 7 has begun and brings with it a nice rotation of returning World Bosses that we have not had the opportunity to kill in a long time. Join us on Tuesday nights for MFN where we will be taking them down.

FFXIV
In order to implement Patch 7.05 HotFixes and to conduct maintenance on the infrastructure, maintenance will take place on all Worlds at the time below, during which FINAL FANTASY XIV will be unavailable. Aug. 26, 2024 8:00 p.m. to Aug. 27, 2024 3:00 a.m. (PDT)

As for The Rising seasonal event set to start the same day, it will begin once maintenance has concluded.

Cataclysm continues to cataclysm, with a few folks still enjoying working their way through the content.

SWTOR
We conquered Section X last week on Star Forge and Balmorra on Shae Vizla. Prizes are available for everyone in the guild bank gift tabs. Now we are recovering on the beaches of Rishi. For the Empire!

ESO
For SoL Kramer ran an ESO themed one-shot D&D campaign which from all accounts was a lot of fun.

FFXIV
Just a reminder that Map nights are on Saturday’s at 9:30 Eastern and right now are requiring that you be level 100 and have flying unlocked in all the Dawntrail zones.

Patch 7.0.8 should be coming out sometime this month or early next month, but nothing yet on what it entails, but it may be a tuning and bug fix patch.

The entire Galaxy is going to Red Alert! From August 15th at 8am PT to August 22nd at 12pm PT on all platforms, all of our Red Alert events will be returning at once, as the Final Frontier is caught in a massive invasion on all sides. During this event, you’ll be able to play the following content:

Tholian Red Alert
Tzenkethi Red Alert*
Nakuhl Red Alert

*Please note: As the only Red Alert with a fail condition, the Tzenkethi Red Alert will not grant daily bonus progress if you fail the TFO. The fail condition will likely be removed in future runs of this event.

In addition to their usual rewards, these Task Force Operations will also grant daily bonus progress. You’ll receive one Daily Progress each day for completing one Red Alert – doesn’t matter which one – on any character on your account. After you receive five daily progress, you’ll be rewarded with a package containing the following, once per account:

An Ultimate Tech Upgrade
A Specialization Point

You can also purchase this Grand Prize on the events page, if you’d prefer. The price will be prorated as you earn Daily Progress, becoming cheaper the more you play.

If you earn, or purchase, the event’s Grand Prize, you can still complete Red Alerts to earn Bonus Progress. Completing a Red Alert TFO each day will grant a bonus amount of Dilithium Ore, beginning at 8,000 and increasing by 1,000 for each completion thereafter.

Red Alert Task Force Operations are available to Captains of level 50 or higher. Head out and defend the Galaxy, Captains! Go to Red Alert!

WoW Classic
Life is very quiet on the Cataclysm classic front. Many of us have been playing in Pandaria Remix, and the Stale Puft Raid team will be a retail raid team in the War Within. TWW (Tdub) looks to be amazing! So we will remain in the Classic worlds but with a very reduced presence. The lights will remain on, but there probably won’t be very many people on line. If anyone needs to reach us for anything, please reach out in the ?wow-classic channel and ping an @officer . We remain happy to help out as we can, but the cadence will be very slow paced. We may come back, but nobody knows.

It’s summer in a galaxy far, far away, and that means it’s time for Nar Shadaa Nightlife. We did some group gambling during MFN last week and traded tips and tricks for the event. Warzone Wednesday was on the pub side this week, and Friday Frolics was a GSF night. Stask was the flyer and Looci and Sema were cheering him on.

ESO
The last few weeks have been spent working on the new scribing quest line and clearing the overland portion of the new zone.

Kraemer has all of the mundus stones and crafting stations currently available at is primary residence. Feel free to stop by to use them if you need to.

Summer of Love is coming soon. Stay tuned for more information on events that will be held in ESO such as a DnD one shot and a trial night.

FFXIV
Tuesday is the first patch of Dawntrail, with the first four of the new 8man raid series dropping, as well as the new limited tome gear. More on that in our chat!

STO
Fleet Action Report just celebrated its 4 year anniversary. Thank you all for the support.

The summer event has started and the free ship this year is the Vovin Obelisk Carrier. It currently is said to have one of the best consoles in the game. There are all kinds of new items in the summer event store from a new kit frame to a rainbow mellanoid slime non combat pet, or a rainbow version of Murph from Prodigy.

LOTRO
Lots of things on the horizon for Lotro. We are about a week and a half away from Update 41. Later in August will be a new instance as part of the celebration of the Year of the Dragon. Also the rumored lotro official discord is in the works and they will try to have it out hopefully September ish. Lastly, the 2 new legendary servers are still expected to go live this month. There is a lot more coming so as to not take up too much time, stay tuned for more fun kinship stuff.

Destiny 2 – New expansion launched, new activities, new weapons. It is the conclusion of what Bungie is calling the light and dark saga where we fight the big bad from the last 10 years. They did some new really neat stuff like a 12 player activity that unlocked when the new raid had been completed by a team. Overall it has been getting very positive reviews.

WoW
oob Raid cleared up to final boss Sarkareth in Aberrus on Saturday night and in coming weeks will be working on getting people the Awakened Raid achievement. Defeating all bosses in Vault of the Incarnates, Aberrus and Amirdrassil on Normal difficulty awards the Voyaging Wilderling Mount. Planning has begun for AIE’s Summer of Love event, which will run July 27 (26?) through August 2nd (Remembrance Day). In WoW, we’ll have a Lore Night and a WoW Trivia night, as well as pet and toy giveaways.

The next expansion, The War Within has a launch date of Aug 26 – with early access Aug 22 for people who pre-purchased the Epic Edition. Beta access has opened and there are spoilers out there. Please respect others by not discussing big revelations in Guild chat or Discord (unless it’s hidden). Meanwhile players are busy finishing up achievements and leveling alts – many of them in Pandaria Remix. It’s a wicked good time!

We’ll also have a new playable dwarf race, The Earthen, in War Within. It seems only fair that they should be unlocked on Day One for Earthen Ring server, right?

WoW Classic
Our Stale-Puft Marshmallow raid team has had one raid night so far, in which we came 10% away from full clearing normal Blackwing Descent 10m, off to a strong start!

The only Cata news of note is Blizzard recently changed valor to be a rolling seasonal cap, like how conquest points already worked, so we’re all very excited about that, especially for upcoming alts

Season of Discovery has lots of news about upcoming season 4, reaching the level cap of 60 at last

Sounds like some really cool stuff, like new tier sets for every spec, 3 difficulty levels for Molten Core, and of course many new rune abilities

FFXIV
Less than 2 weeks, June 28th, until early access for the new expac drops! Last live letter aired last night, the VOD is on their page I believe. Lots of fun new zones and new gear sets revealed.

SWTOR
In Swtor, we are still feeling our way through 7.5. There is a lot to do and the only deadline is that the Spring Festival will be ending June 25. There is still time to catch up on that. In the meantime, there is no limit to when you can do the main story or the new Venture system. The Venture will eventually earn you a gun-faced dog companion. He’s adorable.

We do our MFN on Tuesday night, have a fun PvP night on most Wednesdays, and do a variety of things on Friday nights. Come join in the discussion in the swtor channel if you want to hear what cicadas sound like or see a robot restaurant server deployed in the Chicago area.

LOTRO
We got our first look at update 41 on Bullroarer this past week, in which monster play is getting some love. We are expecting Bullroarer to open up for this week so we can take a look at the new hobby (hopefully). Lotro summer sales continues with some great stuff on sale every week for the next couple weeks. This week is a sale on carry-alls. We are excited to get some exciting teasers from Executive Producer Severlin from a couple of shows he has been on. Some exciting things that have already been teased and waiting for more information on them.

And with that, let’s get back to Dankinia and find out what’s going on in ESO.

GAME NEWS
The new expansion, Gold Road, came out on June 3 for PC and brought with it a new zone and storyline as well as a new system called Scribing that lets you customize your skills and abilities. There is a questline to unlock it and then daily quests that can be done to acquire materials. For the last few MFN’s we’ve all grouped up to run a short trial or do dailies and then hung out in voice chatting with each other as we worked through the Scribing quests. I foresee more time spent doing dailies in our future to collect all the components needed.

The Zeal of Zenithar event starts on June 20th and runs through July 1st. There will be a daily quest each day that gives you a Sublime Parcel box as a reward and a variety of other activities that reward a Delightful Parcel Box. The boxes contain style pages, crafting materials, and recipes, among other items.

Planning for AIE’s annual Summer of Love event is currently underway. Kraemer is planning a short one-shot D&D game as part of the event. Also Tales of Tribute 6 starts on July 1st and runs to August 4th. There are plenty of spots still open so let Kraemer know in Discord if you’d like to join in the fun.

In WoW retail, the Mists of Pandaria – Remix event is off to a roaring start and many Guildies already have multiple level 70’s. It’s a great way to level alts for The War Within (with Beta starting June 5) and there’s a ton of transmog, mounts, toys and pets to collect. Chen Stormstout’s Hat and Keg? Theramore tabard? Yes Please!

Saturday’s Noob Mythics became a Remix run instead, and Raid Team Kiddie Aggro did Siege of Orgrimmar last week. Alliance Team Hell Froze Over may Remix Raid this week.
Noob Raid cleared all but final boss Fyrakk in Awakened Amirdrassil on Saturday. Thanks as always to Dankinia our fearless floor tank!

Also, Darkmoon Faire is up and the June Trading post arrived with a heartbreakingly cute assortment of summer gear including the Pearlescent Goblin Wave Shredder (a flying surfboard), Water Blaster BL (gun) a murloc floaty belt, lots of swimwear and a rainbow beach chair. More tendies needed!

WoW Classic
Sema has an update!!! Cataclysm launched, with little issue, it’s been a pretty calm release. The guild has been busy doing content, and dungeons, and leveling professions. It’s fun to see these zones again, and the dungeons as well. Several of us on the raid team have never raided these raids when it was current, so we are looking forward to it! We have also been working on guild achievements, to get some of the better perks. Come on over to classic and have some Cata fun!

We’ve been having a great time attempting to clear more difficult trials. We are not always successful, but even when the entire group joins Kini for floor tank practice we all have fun.

The next chapter expansion, called Gold Road, comes out on June 5th for PC. We are looking forward to exploring the new area as well as the changes to some of the base game systems when it comes out.

Tales of Tribute Tournament 6 will be starting on July 1st and run for 5 weeks though Summer of Love. You can sign in the Tot channel of the AIE discord or reach out to Kraemer.

FFXIV
The complete edition/complete collector’s edition and the Endwalker/Endwalker Collector’s edition are 60% off on most platforms right now, if anyone was looking to start the game when Dawntrail comes out and wants to catch up now! Also story skips (skipping over previous expansions) and level skips (skipping a class from base level to level 80, with a full set of lvl 80 gear) are half off at the moment, if people want to play a specific class through the expac!

Newly updated Benchmark for Dawntrail to be released June 3rd with updated environmental lighting and shading to better reflect the major graphics update.

Our weekly FC gathering has been postponed until a couple weeks after Dawntrail’s release to allow people to play MSQ at their own rate.

Multiple events going on in game at once at the moment, as most players are in a holding pattern until Dawntrail releases at the end of the month.

STO
Federation fleet is still racking up provisions so people can continue getting fleet credits to purchase the special equipment the fleet holdings offer.

KDF fleet is moving along nicely with their holdings. Starbase is now Tier III closing in on Tier IV. The spire is working on unlocking Tier II. The Fleet Research Lab is almost completed Tier II as well. And the Fleet colony is closing in on unlocking Tier I for each of the branches, which will unlock a daily trickle of colony provisions for the projects.

STO has released new content this past Tuesday and we are back to fighting even more borg. And along with the new content release there is an event showcasing all the new content dealing with borg. The rewards are some that if you can, you should not miss. You will get a dimensional hypermass torpedo launcher, type 14 shuttle support squadron, 500 lobi, and 1 Epic Phoenix Prize token PER CAPTAIN on your account. So if you have 30 captains, that could be 30 ships. (Note: Phoenix prize pack ships are not account wide ships.) You can also save your epic token for when they do any phoenix prize pack event and bring back ship upgrade tokens as a choice to buy.

LOTRO
This week we got some news on what is coming for Update 41. Some of the highlights are double sided pvmp reward tracks with rotating quests that both sides will pvp each other over.

Players in PVMP can by choice have a bounty on them. New non-competitive crafting event. The lore-master, burglar and the hunter will be the main focus for class work in this update. We also got the news on the 2nd hobby that was teased in the Producer’s Letter. The new hobby will be bird watching. There are about 600 birds to be spotted at the moment, with possible migration depending on the season. Bird watching hobby is expected to be on Bullroarer within the next 2 weeks.

We have a few people on a private V Rising server now that the game has gone to a 1.0 release. It’s a fun, Vampire themed crafting survival action combat game.

Diablo Season 4: Loot Reborn is now live and is seemingly doing very well and players are really liking the updates. We have Diablo regulars in there checking it out and I’m sure they can offer help and guidance to anyone looking to jump back in.

Other Nomads stuff is happening this week in Fallout 76, ARK, and Starfield as well.

WoW
Noob Raid successfully cleared Timewalking Ulduar, and congrats to two players for obtaining the rare mounts Invincible and Mimiron’s Head.

Aside from Noob Raid, the excitement is all about Remix: Mists of Pandaria, a limited time, speed leveling event that launched Thursday for Retail WoW. Quite a few players have reached level 70 already and are working on more toons while gathering numerous transmog items, mounts and pets. Many alts! Handle it! The characters can join current guilds but won’t be on live servers until the new expansion, The War Within.

AIE opened our second Alliance guild, Amicitia, to make room for the new alts. A few people had trouble pronouncing the guild name, so it’s now known as Amy.

SWTOR
This past week was Rakghoul week and if that means nothing to you, just picture swtor’s version of zombies. There is no cure, we just have to kill them. A lot. Including a giant one with no eyes that we managed to dispatch on Tuesday during MFN.

The double xp event is over, but it’s still a good time to level as it’s basically pretty quick in this game. For tips, join us in discord. There is a lot of chatter about the best/most-fun way to do things.

Friday fun happened on Shae Vizla server this week where we knocked out some Uprisings and Heroic weeklies. Next week, back to Star Forge.

The PvP season is wrapping up, or has wrapped up (time is so unreliable), but the main point is Wednesday Night PvP goes on hiatus between seasons. Check this spot for when the season starts up again.

FFXIV
Map Night has Gigantamaxed into Mandatory Fun Night for the remainder of Endwalker up until the release of Dawntrail, at which point it’ll need to take a lil’ nap after the dynamax infusion wears off while we enjoy the new expansion pack. Have content you want to run? Are you lower level and still want to map it up? Come join us at 9:30 eastern every saturday! We’ll still be running chill content, so don’t be afraid to come on in!

FFXIV also recently had it’s latest Letter from the Producer Live that included a new Job Actions trailer that showcases some of the job changes coming in Dawntrail and their new animations, as well as many more details on the new jobs Viper, a dual wielding bad boy who flips and slashes around his foes while also throwing his swords like sword chucks and occasionally Darth Mauling it up by combing his swords, and Pictomancer, a painter who brought a paint brush to a sword fight and still ends up winning.

Dawntrail will be released on July 2nd, with early access starting June 28th. If you’ve ever wanted to dip your toes into FFXIV, now is the time.

The base game and the EW expansion and both collectors editions are on sale for 60% off until June 11th, except for Steam.

We’ve been running trials and dungeons for loot and laughs while waiting for the next event and the expansion.

There are a couple of things needed to participate in the tournaments 1 must be an aie guild member 2 have the ability to use the tales of tribute game in ESO. There are now multiple ways to get access to the game 1 own the High Isle chapter or have purchased any collection that came out after high isle. And 3 complete the first quest in the line to get access to the decks used to play. The tournament will run for 5 weeks starting on July 1,2024 and run until August 5, 2024.

STO is starting a Red Alert event on the 23rd. Then, on the 28th the next content drop hits. Named Parallels, players are going to a new universe to stop the Borg! This event rewards 500 lobi and a Epic Phoenix Prize token in addition to other prizes!

GW2
The April Fools event has happened and the next event is going to be Dragon Bash on June 4th. “The Midnight King”, the last stage of the current expansion, is going live on May 21st. And there is a bag slot sale on that ends on the 28th

In guild specific news, I want to call attention to the heroic effort of Hortensus Hawkeye aka. Kirontuk. He went to great lengths to get the materials necessary to progress the guildhall’s tavern to the next level. Thank you Hortensus!

LOTRO
Update 40 has gone live! Now we venture into Umbar-môkh, the neaths, a large complex beneath the city of Umbar.

The quest pack “Beneath the Surface” is free to VIPs and available in the LOTRO store for points. New quests will be released weekly to continue the story.

Beyond that there are numerous class and game tweaks like the ability to rename carry-all in your inventory.

GAME NEWS
Less than 24 hours to the launch of Cataclysm Classic! We are all very excited to roll on into Cata, to revisit its dungeons and Raids. The AIE classic group has been preparing for this since we killed Arthas in January. The Blizzard team has released a very accelerated pace for this expansion, with only 15 months to complete all the content. They have also stated that they will be monitoring the progress and can slow the release if they feel that teams are still progressing through the current raid. We hope this isn’t too fast a pace for us, as we are pretty casual, with only 1 night a week to raid. The Devs are hoping for less gaps and lulls in content during this expansion.

The Stale Pufft Marshmallow team have had a few roster changes, and we have added a few new people for this raid tier, so we continue with about 14 people for 10 man raids. A continuous struggle for the raid leaders to keep the roster flowing, and to make sure everyone gets time in the raids.

Some of the highlights that we have are: Transmog, reforging, guild perks! Archeology, and a revamped talent system. Overall, the raid team is pumped for this expansion. If anyone is interested in joining us in Cata, just drop an @officer ping in the AIE discord, and we can get you into the guild.

Cataclysm classic pre-patch is live, and Deathwing is claiming lives randomly in the zones around his lair.

Not a smooth pre-patch at all, Blizzard outdoing itself this time. This are getting more stable, even with goblins and worgens running around.

May 20th will be Cataclysm launch, with only 15 months until the following expansion.

SWTOR
This week we had a livestream about Game Update 7.5, “Desperate Defiance”, which is due this spring, possibly even this month. We will be getting a new pvp season, a new game system called Ventures, and a new Spring Event. The game continues to get art updates–this time for the planet Hutta. The Public Test Server is up now and players are able to test the new Ventures.

The Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival looks like a cozy extravaganza with farming, pie baking, and animal rescues. Maybe the galaxy needs a break from pirate invasions, intrigue and eternal war.

Right now, though, it’s a good time to level characters because of double xp. Come join us for MFN on Tuesday this week and get some Conquest points, Galactic Seasons objectives, and that sweet, sweet double xp.

We’ve been running trials and dungeons for loot and laughs while waiting for the next event and the expansion.

Kraemer has all of the mundus stones and crafting stations currently available at his primary residence. Feel free to stop by to use them if you need to.

The next chapter expansion, called Gold Road, comes out on June 5th for PC. We are looking forward to exploring the new area as well as the changes to some of the base game systems when it comes out.

An updated Benchmark is due to be released on May 23rd. This is to fix the benchmark having incorrect lighting in the Character Creation screen as well as addressing some feedback with the latest updates to the new and improved graphics coming in Dawntrail.

Destiny 2 – Into the light event has started, it’s a free to play for everyone Horde mode with reprised weapons. Also 2 older exotic weapon quests have been revised and re-released. Whisper of the worm sniper rifle and Outbreak Perfected Pulse.

Fun night has moved to Sunday officially.

WoW
Guild Event on Monday where Raid Team Kiddie Aggro helped about a dozen guildies kill Heroic Fyrakk, final boss of Amirdrassil for the Ahead of the Curve Achievement. Players also got a short quest to unlock a Fyrakk appearance for their Dragonriding mount.

With the new patch on Tuesday, the three Dragonflight raids will take turns becoming Awakened, rotating weekly. Awakened raids will be harder, drop improved gear and a token, Antique Bullion, that can be used to buy weapons and other items as well as a Jigglesworth Sr mount. Completing all three raids awards the Voyaging Wilderling Mount and Awakened Hero achievement.

The eight Dragonflight dungeons have been revamped to Mythic level. In a helpful change for many players, the timer is being removed for level 0 to 10 mythics.

Players will be able to design their own personal tabards, thanks to a new quest that starts in Valdrakken.

For housekeeping, use up those catalyst charges on gear before they reset on Tuesday and spend any flightstones. One good option is to buy rep tokens from the various factions, which are account bound. Unspent flightstones will turn into gold.

WoW Classic
Cataclysm pre-patch drops on 30 April, with Cataclysm starting on 20 May. We are all hoping that the PTR is not indicative of the state of the game, as it hasn’t been very stable. They have also released a roadmap for Raids during Cata, and the pace seems to be very accelerated. If they stick to this roadmap, the final raid will be out in January of 2025. It appears that they will be rolling things out every 3 months, which for those of us who haven’t played previously, seems kind of fast.

The scenarios of Zelazane’s Fall and Operation Gnomeregan are out, and they give 2 toys, a Darkspear troll costume, and a Gnomeregan Gnome costume. You only need to do 1 of the scenarios, and you get both toys.

Season of Discovery is in Phase 3, and the level cap is now 50. I know several guildies are enjoying it. Beyond that, I haven’t been in it recently.

And Hardcore Classic now has self found mode, it is unknown how many people are taking advantage of this. When you create a character in Self found mode, you have no access to the AH, Mail, or trading at all.

SWTOR
We won another planet during this past week of Total Galactic War. In fact we won two planets, since our fledgling guild on Shae Vizla (or is it a guild of fledglings?) also won a planet once our victory on Star Forge was assured.

This week’s MFN was a celebration of the TGW win, a distribution of prizes for everyone, and an early-to-bed night. TGW is good fun, but it does take some recovery time.

Don’t forget Warzone Wednesday. You never know which faction or which level range will be playing, so stay tuned to discord.

Talk about the FF16 collab.

FFXIV Dawtrail Performance Benchmark dropped yesterday and will be updated to correct lag/graphical glitches that are already fixed in the upcoming game but had not been back ported to the Benchmark engine.

We are currently taking advantage of the anniversary event by clearing trials and doing world boss kills for loot boxes. After we have our cake of course so we get our event tickets.

Alea Iacta Est Classis, our Federation Fleet, has finished upgrading all Fleet holdings. We continue to enable ways for our members to earn Fleet Credits, but all items, ships, and bridge officers have been unlocked!

Alea Iacta Est Honoris, our Klingon Fleet, is working on all holdings with the focus currently split between the Starbase and the Spire to unlock fleet consoles.

STO’s current event is celebrating First Contact Day! Earn the Photon Rifle with 14 days of progress earned by running one of two TFOs or a Patrol. Along side this, players can create Delta Recruits. This special type of character will unlock multiple items and marks for your entire account!

The BitCraft Alpha is going live on April 4th. It’s a multiplayer, open world, survival/exploration type game. No invites have gone out but they have a signup going on (that’s a little over-gamefied in my view, but ok). We’ll very likely have some AIE people in there checking it out.

Besides the other ongoing fun stuff (Rust, Palworld, ARK, etc.) there will be some single-player RPG games coming out next week that people may want to chat about. Horizon: Forbidden West is finally hitting PC (Steam) and Dragon’s Dogma 2 is looking interesting.

And let’s be honest, if you’re going to try and label the system as BRP (Basic Roleplaying), we’re going to add Universal and System to it and call it (BURPS). The 10.2.6 Content Update Arrives March 19

Mark your calendar for March 19 when the 10.2.6 content update goes live with a bold, new, limited-time event. You won’t want to miss out on the fun. It’s important to note that Dragonflight season 4 will go live several weeks after the release of the 10.2.6 content update. For heroes working toward the Amirdrassil Feats of Strength, you’ll need to obtain Ahead of the Curve: Fyrakk the Blazing before Season 4 begins, and the achievement is no longer available to earn.

Gustytail’s favorite Holiday, the Trial of Style returns as well and there will be Guild runs.

WoW Classic
Cataclysm beta is out, several of our Raid team have gotten invites. The state of Cata Beta is pretty bad. At one point in the Goblin starting area, if you aren’t a mana user, you can’t progress the quests, In the Troll starting area, one quest mob just keeps despawning when you start interacting with him, and you can’t progress further. So that said, we continue to do silly things, like our Dungeon Draft. Part 2 was last night, we leveled to level 24, and completed Shadowfang Keep, Black Fathoms Deep, and the Stockades. The teams got a bit of a shuffle, which was interesting, and more learning was had. The judges are Shrimpiclese, Scotaidh, and Macfearsom, and they have determined that races just don’t work for various reasons. So now its going to be a point system, Finish a dungeon first, and you get 1 point. We also had the Wheel of Doom, where the judges would spin the wheel and we would have to do what ever was on it. One wheel spin had us turning our keyboard around, or putting your mouse in the other hand. one was remove your belt until after the next boss. Generally silly things like that. Overall it was a great time, and fun and silliness was had!

Our next dungeon challenge will be get to level 29, and we expect to do the Scarlet Monastery gauntlet. probably a few weeks from now, as we have people with real life commitments for the next few weekends.

The Bubblegum Unicorns won the challenge this time! Sema’s team won this one, they were just a hair faster than Looci’s team!

SWTOR
7.4.1 has dropped and the Galactic Season 6 has officially started. During MFN this week, we ran around accomplishing GS goals as well as Conquest goals.

We also had a fun night on Shae Vizla, this past Friday which was very well attended. Several guildies took advantage of the free character transfers going on there now. We may have a second fun night on SV this month due to there being 5 Fridays in March. 7.4.1 also added in a new narrative feature called Date Night, where players can play short scenes with some of their companions to further their stories a bit.

We also got something new to collect called ancient armaments. These are previously-np-longer-available armor pieces with a chance to drop from just about anything, including out in the world.

We have sweet and awesome things going on in the Elder Scrolls Online! On June 5th we will have the new chapter release of Gold Road. recently we have had the release of 2 new 4 person dungeons last week. last month we finished the tales of tribute tournament number 5 will list final standings at the end. With a lot of help from our faithful guild members we have the 4 grand master crafting tables loaded up with all 77 craftable sets for use. Please visit @Kraemer29 ‘s primary residence which also has all 13 mundus stones and multiple combat dummies to test out builds. Dankinia and I are working on getting multiple events for the 2024 Summer of Love including tales of tribute 6 and an Eso lore and monster style dnd one shot for MFN that week. I think that is all but Kini will let you know if there is more

Kraemer wants to thank all those that played in the tales of tribute tournament number 5 which was dominated by Malakyi who steam rolled over the competition to her first tournament win. With 4 other players splitting victories amongst the field. All of the prize money has been sent out and look forward to the next tournament. Here is the final standings:

Last major patch before the new expac is this Tuesday, new hatchingtide event just began this week, and coming up soon the ff16 crossover event will be happening!

Monday Nights at 10pm Eastern is our Fleet Fun Night. Anyone is welcome to join us, and we’d love to see some people come try out the game.

Fleet Action Report, our video podcast, runs every Thursday at 10pm Eastern. Our topic of conversation for this upcoming Thursday will be highlighting the new Tholian Trouble event. We will run both updated TFOs and give the details on how to achieve all the optional objectives.

The changes to the Year-Long event have gone live. Participating in all the events from now until December can earn a player 1500 Lobi, 2 100% Off Zen Store Ship coupons, and a free premium ship pack (either lockbox or premium ships can be chosen). This is a great way to earn some of the best ships and equipment in the game without having to spend a dime on Zen.

LOTRO
Lots of stuff has arrived Season 9 of the legendary reward track, the spring festival and update 39: Arenas of Conflict . This update is largely new instances and s raid in the Umbar area. The raid is currently tier 1 only. Tier 2 and 3 is expected to hit the live servers soon. When the new raid opens up to tier 3, we will be running some missions once again to get our characters geared up a little easier.

ARK: Sounds like the group in ARK is looking to attempt the final dungeon of the Island map, called the Tek Cave and Overseer. It may be happening while the podcast is going on even!

Enshrouded: A handful of guildies are playing Enshrouded and while it’s not really multi-player, but rather a co-op style game, feel free to ask in Nomads for others that may want to play along. If it does trend toward larger group open world features in the future AIE will likely start up a shared server for it.

Many are looking forward to early access of Nightingale coming in a few weeks. It might end up being another small group survival game we all try out. There will be no private servers at this point for early access but keep an eye out in the Nomads channel for ways to play together!

WoW
Noob Raid completed Timewalking Firelands – barely – with an all out final pull. Congrats and thanks to everyone who joined in the fun. One month in, Noob Mythics had a decline in interest, although people are asking in guild chat if anyone wants a mythic plus run. Let’s do more of this!

So Let’s Go Skating got AOTC last Sunday!

There’s a holiday bonanza this week. The Darkmoon Faire is up (grab those rep and xp buffs) as well as the Lunar Festival… and Love is in the Air begins Monday. All have things to do to complete the Trading Post. Gustyail is already rocking the Love Witch’s Attire … as a boy Tauren… because what’s better than men in tights? (see image) This month’s items are especially hard to choose between. The Fur-endship Fox mount was a must for Gusty. (What do you folks like best?)

WoW Classic
Having cleared ICC on Normal, we went in last night and hit it on heroic difficulty. We cleared the 1st wing with no major issues, and we killed Festergut and Rotface, and took 1 pull on Professor Putricide! We are also routinely clearing Obsidion Sanctum with 3 drakes for the mount!

A few things we have planned is a level 17 dungeon challenge, where 2 teams will go into Rage Fire Chasm, Deadmines, and Wailing Caverns, and the 1st team to complete all 3 wins a prize. The prize is just something little, like a bouquet of flowers from the vendor, but it’s all about the fun! We are playing different classes, and different rolls just to make it even more interesting.

We really wanted @Sema (she/her) to tank, but she is just going to DPS. No Idea what the status is on SoD, but next level round comes out on 8 Feb. and that is to level 40, so you will get a mount.

AIE Guildie Strykezone is on day 271(ish) of his mega project to watch all of Stars Wars. He estimates it as a 376 day process and he’s on track to finish around there. MFN headed into an operation this week and handily completed Nature of Progress which is familiarly known as Dxun.

Friday night was flashpoint night AND Groundhog Day. I believe Stask saw his shadow and we will have six more weeks of war between the Sith Empire and the Republic. At least.

FFXIV
Free login campaign has started, and ends Feb 21st. You get 96 consecutive hours of play time for this round.

Valentione’s day starts on Feb 7th, and also ends on the 21st, so you can spend time with the holiday if you like. Looks like the goodies this year are a heart chair, and the love heart hands emote.

Moogle Treasure Trove round 1 has started, and will end on March 11th. Expect a second one to likely start afterwards, and will likely last until the expansion launches.

Maiden’s Rhapsody will end tomorrow at 7am PST, so if you are hearing this live, you have tonight to get it done. It takes a course of several FATEs to complete, so get started. This event is the one that gives you a FF11 looking samurai outfit that can be freely applied to any job.

We have been testing our skills in Trials. We have been working on one that is new to us, as well as going back and revisiting ones we can clear with confidence.

As we enter the final week of tales of tribute 5 we once again have a close race at top between Dankinia who is 1 game behind Malakyi with DPRoberts and Bashirra just 2 games back. Here is a look at the standings as of right now

Coming to Bullroarer hopefully this week, first preview for update 39. In this first build are possibly some looks at some of the new instances and the raid. Elderslade will be getting missions to look at in this build. Season 9 of the legendary reward track begins on February 14th. Lastly, for those that have been waiting with your lotro points to pick up the River Hobbit bundle, it will be arriving in the lotro store next Thursday.

ARK continues to be a fun place for the team there with a group boss kill of the Dragon planned for tonight. We are looking forward to the next DLC remaster coming in the next couple months.

Rust is spun back up as well and a group in there is trying out the new features including more automation and even the ability to tie notifications of in-game activities to your phone.

Palworld launch this week and is pretty hot at the moment. The pitch is “ARK survival but with Pokemon instead of dinos… and the Pokemon can have guns” There may be a private group server being spun up for this depending on interest.

We have successfully killed the Lich King! There are a few raid members who still need that kill, so we shall continue to kill him until everyone has the title. Waiting for further word on when we are looking at a Cata release. Season of Discovery gets the next band to 40 starting on Feb 8th, I believe.

The SUP operations team is looking for a permanent member. Any role will work. SUP is on the Imperial side and meets on Wednesday nights from 9-11PM Eastern. No previous experience required!

Join us for MFN on Tuesday nights. We tend to focus on Conquest/Galactic Seasons/Story Mode Operations. You can usually be any character level and always any level of experience. Just make sure you have your personal ship!

FFXIV
Final stage of Endwalker relics have arrived! In about 4-6 weeks we’ll get the final “major” patch for 6.x (6.58) which will most likely unlock everything in preparation for Dawntrail.

The FFXI crossover even sooner..

FFXIV and FFXVI crossover event happening in April.

Also the FC house has had a facelift inside as well as outside now, come check it out.

Cool things the guild has been doing:
MFN’s are back after the holiday break and a Tales of Tribute Tournament started on Jan 15th.
We tried out a new trial last week due to an in-game event, we didn’t clear it, but we made a good effort and will try again next week.

Game News:
They announced a a new DLC pack in March with two new dungeons followed by Gold Road, a new chapter, which will release in June.
Gold Road will have a new zone, story line, a new system called Scribing, and takes you to West Weald which might be familiar to people who played Oblivion. It’s available for pre-purchase now.

STO
STO’s Anniversary event begins 1/23/2024! This event features a new story episode, a new TFO, and rewards a new Starship! The Tier 6, Khitomer Alliance Rex Pilot Escort!

Fleet Action Report intends to highlight this new event this coming Thursday, at 10pm Eastern. Join us at Grebog’s twitch channel to experience the fun!

The road map for 2024 is out and it looks great. Some hype of a lot of things planned for this year. Coming soon is the new 3 and 6 man instances with the new raid to follow soon after. The letter is posted in the lotro channel if you want to take a look.

The ill omens skirmish event is still going on through January 31st.

GAME NEWS
Patch 10.2.5 Seeds of Renewal brought a lot of new content (but no new Raid) as the Dragonflight expansion winds down. Players can visit the new Night Elf capital, Bel Ameth, that is being built in the World Tree Amirdrassil. There’s a lovely cinematic where Tyrande and Malfurion are reunited, featuring probably the first real kiss in WoW. King Genn Greymane and daughter Tess also want their capital, Gilneas back and we get to help. I enjoyed having Lillian Voss join the party, which Genn didn’t like at all. Visiting Bel Ameth and completing the Gilneas quests award transmog and I got a lovely fox mount from Genn as well.

Follower Fungeons (I mean Dungeons). Tried and enjoyed them!
Azerothian Archives is buggy and not as fun but it will keep people busy.
Dragon Riding is now available everywhere in WoW where flying is allowed and the new racing event, Outland Cup is active. TRANSMOG and dragon customizations available.

On the small server front, there’s groups running right now in ARK and Rust.

Rust has a fresh map this week and Corley and Kuda have just started building.

On ARK, we’ve just wrapped up the winter event and a few of the group have started in on end bosses. We’ll be continuing there for a while and are looking forward to the next holiday and soon, the next expanded map for Ascended.

WoW
WoW Retail, Patch 10.2.5 Seeds of Renewal is coming January 16 with lots of changes.
Night Elves are building their new capital, Bel-Ameth in the World Tree Amirdrassil and Alliance and Horde players can visit, although Horde will have a buff warning that they’re being watched… especially fire mages. There are new Night Elf tabards, cloaks and weapons there as well as new Night Elf children NPC’s.

Worgen leader Genn Graymane is also taking his people back to their former capital, Gilneas.

Dragonriding is coming to every zone in WoW where flying is possible — but at 80% Dragonflight speed… because 100% would be ridiculous, right? There will be new Dragon Racing events with new transmog and achievements to earn.

Darkspear Trolls are getting 5 new hair colors and Dranei will have a new skin tone available, and Warlocks will have new customizations for their Demonic Tyrant and Darkglare demons.

New Follower dungeons will allow players to practice roles and abilities without resorting to LFD. NPC’s will make up the rest of the party.

Holidays Love Is In The Air, the Lunar Festival and Noblegarden have new content including battle pets, transmog, and a dragonriding appearance. Be warned there are some very, very pink items coming to the Trading Post in February.

And there’s a new weekly event, Azeroth Archives that will have solo and group content to earn a variety of goodies and reveal lore about the Dragon Isles as the expansion winds down.

In AIE news, Raid Teams Kiddie Aggro and So Let’s Go Skating are closing in on their Ahead of the Curve achievements. Guild spam incoming!
Dankinia returned from break and led Noob Raid to defeat 8 of 9 bosses in Amirdrassil. Fyrakk, our raiders have their eyes on you!

And we launched a new Guild Event – Noob Mythics on Saturday. This will be a weekly event from 8-10pm server. It’s like Noob Raid, but for Mythic Plus Dungeons. We ran two groups, completing 4 mythics each. Thanks to Officer Ashayo and raiders from Kiddie Aggro and So Let’s Go Skating for helping to make this a success.

WoW Classic
In Wrath Classic, we are cruising through ICC, with good progression on the Lich King. Ruby Sanctum opens on 11 January, but as a 10 man team, we kind of expect it to be a one and done raid. We are waiting patiently for more news on when Cata is coming out, and looking forward to prepatch for the leveling boost.

Hard Core has been quiet but we do have our first 60 (Healarious). A flurry of activity in the first weeks of Season of Discovery but seems to have slowed down a bit. We are probably a couple weeks out until the next phase (cap of level 40) in SoD.

SWTOR
Coming out of the holiday lull, we have until Tuesday (1/9) to hug wookies and throw snowballs. Double XP ended Jan 4th.

SUP (Sith with Unlimited Power) has 2 openings for their Wednesday night Imperial Ops team? Any role can work.

ESO
We will be returning to MFN on the 12th and the 5th tales of tribute tournament starts on the 15th

GW2
GW2 Dungeons and More is returning this month but it will be the 3rd Thursday this month

STO
STO goes to Red Alert from now until the 18th. This event likely is a placeholder as STO preps for their anniversary event! Keep your eyes open for any anniversary announcements!

Fleet Action Report, a STO Podcast that teaches how to play the game, live streams every Thursday Night at 10pm Eastern.

Alea Iacta Est hosts a Fleet Fun Night every Monday at 10pm Eastern. Everyone is welcome to join this event, which is live streamed. Here we can introduce new players to the game and/or help you gain levels, run missions, TFOs, or any other activity in the game.

FFXIV
The FC house has been updated with a new look, if anyone wants to swing by and check it out.
If anyone would like to do more content/use different buffs/or anything the guild can help with just to drop Caztiel Winchester a tag in discord or send a tell when they’re in game!

Maybe even craft up a set of those expensive walls for your house! They’ve unlocked all the prototypes so we can put anything into the workshop and anyone can contribute materials for them! So just let Caztiel Winchester if you want to make any of the themed housing exteriors!

Patch 6.55 launches on January 16th

They really drew out the reveal of the new class, Pictomancer. Finally, cat mom has joined the fight. Krile gets the draw on her studies in the new job. Cyberpunk FF14 confirmed. Jan 16 is the 6.55 breadcrumbs for 7.0, Squirrelmaster limited job named.

LOTRO
Update 38.2 planned to be released on January 10. With this comes the ill omens skirmish event that will run from January 11 through January 31. New pets: jackal, snake and crab. The wrapper rewards are Level 20-148: Assortment of Crafting Mats + 2 Universal Solvents and for Level 149-150: 2 Luckstones, 2 Universal Solvents, Sea-Farer’s Primary Essence, Cloak of Conflict. If you need help with the ill omens skirmish event, Maellung is sure that a certain kin member would be more than happy to have an excuse to run more skirmishes.

Also with this update are a bunch of fixes that couldn’t get in game before the holiday break.

Noob Raid is on break for the holidays, however during the break Celindre and a few other people plan on grouping up on Saturday nights for mythics or LFR. Noob Raid will resume on January 6th and the plan is to visit Amirdrassil.

Kiddie Aggro Raid Team defeated 6 bosses in Heroic Amirdrassil and sights are set on Smolderon and beyond next week. The team recently added several new members, including Gustytail.

House of Gamon (who will save us) cleared 8 of 9 bosses on Normal. Watch out Fyrakk (fur-akk), they’re coming for you. The team is looking for more to join them on Tuesday & Thursday nights from 9:30 to 11pm server.

On Alliance side, Hell Froze Over cleared Normal and their progression team, So Let’s Go Skating, is running Heroic tonight. (8pm Eastern on Sunday) Good luck Team!

Late breaking news- Update Alliance news – So let’s Go Skating has downed Igira (aka Brittney Spears), Boss 2 on Heroic.

WotLK continues to be going great. We only did 3 bosses in ICC this week, but last week had us healing Valithria, killing the Blood Council, and downing the Blood Queen in one spot. We only had a bit of time on Sindragosa, but we made great strides in the fight, and I expect Sindy will fall next week, so we can take a look a t Arthas. We remain super excited about Cataclysm, and many of us are dabbling in the grass of SoD.

Warcraft Rumble has a guild, AIE Alliance. It looks like there is a cap of 15 members, so we’re working on solutions going forward. Hopefully we won’t have to replicate the WoW Horde guild structure, but we might!

There’s a group trying out ARK Survival Ascended, the newly released remastered version of the game. Nazrai is hosting the server and details are in the Nomads channel. We have some shared resources and plenty of experts that can help too!

Diablo IV
Season 2 is all the rage. The Season of Blood has been live since Oct 17th, and several patches since have brought some significant changes to the game. Many in the clan have commented on how this feels much more like it should have been at launch and are enjoying the changes.

Beginning with this season you will have the option to skip the campaign after completing the prologue allowing you to start the season right away. The new season brings with it the usual trappings: a new questline, enemies, endgame bosses to fight, and a battle pass.

First things first: Looci got her Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy MagicBand! She is heading to Walt Disney World in April!

MFN – We were super casual this week due to the holiday, but that didn’t mean the galaxy went unscathed. Quinn led us to victory on many planets.

In game, the Feast of Prosperity is going on. It’s an opportunity to earn currency for pets, outfits, decorations and mounts. It’s always a fun time with its quirky missions and the community’s increased interest in doing World Bosses.

Worth noting that Feast ends Tuesday. Grab those prosperity tokens!

Next up: Life Day! Oh, yeah, and 7.4 soon.

Final Fantasy 14’s strange-out-of-nowhere-but-still-fun Fall Guys collab event is out now until December 31st. Join other players in Blunederville, a section of the Manderville Gold Saucer, to earn Fall Guys themed items.

We’ve been killing world bosses and defeating a giant crow for the Witches’ Festival event and working on Trials again and having a lot of fun doing so even though we usually have less then 12 people.

If anyone has missed it, the Federation fleet has completed ALL holdings and have unlocked everything you can buy from holdings. We will be keeping projects rolling to help you earn your fleet credits.

The KDF fleet has pushed the starbase to tier 3, with the spire knocking on the door for Tier 2 completion. K-13 is closing in on Tier 1. We have made a lot of progress with the KDF fleet.

Currently in STO there is a red alert event going on and Bonus Experience event going on until the 16th. Phoenix prize pack even until the 9th.

And if you missed it, they released the Master Systems Display of the Enterprise F. For those that don’t know, this is what you would typically see on the shows of the cross section of the ship, showing the master systems. They make great desktop wallpapers.

LOTRO
The Corsairs of Umbar expansion is expected to go live on November 8th, with new instances and a raid to follow within the month.

Maellung finished their part of LOTROstream marathon and they set a personal goal of $100 that would go to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY. By the end of the hour they with the awesome community raised $145 to their hospital of choice and almost $900 towards Extra Life (the 900 includes the 145 donated via their participant link)

And with that, let’s get back to Looci and Gusty and find out what’s going on in Warcraft.

WoW News – For AIE news in WOW: For the first time, Noob Raid downed the final 2 bosses in Aberrus with Dankinia present! (Previous clears happened when she was away.) Thanks to everyone who joined to get Kini the achievement and grats to all who got gear. Patch 10.2 arrives this week with a new zone, new raid and most important, new transmog for Gustytail. And there was some sort of RP event in Anaheim with swords. What swords?

Gusty: Holy COW (moo!) there is so much to talk about from Blizzcon. We’ve got not one – but THREE expansions coming in the Worldsoul Saga. The first part – The War Within – is due out next year. There is a fantastic cinematic featuring Anduin and Thrall with SPOILER ALERT: a really big sword, and I teared up watching Chris Metzen talk about WoW’s 20th Anniversary and how they are planning for the next 20 years. It’s a huge turnabout from disgraced former exec Alex Afrasiabi saying he treated every expansion like it’s the last, and then Shadowlands was the last for a lot of people. All of the Blizzcon speakers talked about listening to feedback, respecting players’ time and playstyles as well as offering more options for how they appear in game.

Some of the new things include: Cross-realm guilds and raiding. (Sounds cool but yet another test for Greenwall.) Hero class talents that will be a separate tree and support class fantasy (such as Dark Ranger for Hunters, Templar for Paladins and Farseer for Shaman). Warbands, which lets you and your alts (so many alts) share rep, a bank, reagents and gear. Any gear that your character receives will be added to your transmog, even if the character can’t equip it. Blizzard is also considering expanding which classes can wield different items, following complaints about Trading Post gear. Mog is life!
Delves will be a new option for outdoor content for 1-5 players, similar to Sniffenseeking in Dragonflight and Scenarios in Pandaria. It’s one of several outdoor activities that will give you an item choice in the weekly Great Vault.

There will be a new Allied Race of Dwarves, known as Earthen, who can join either Alliance or Horde.

Dragonriding is becoming “dynamic flight” in the next expansion. Blizzard has about 100 pre-Dragonflight mounts ready and is working on the others, but players will be able to toggle between new and original flying. Druid flight form should work in the next expansion and Drakthyr will have dynamic flight in patch 10.2.5.

Speaking of patches – Season 3, patch 10.2 arrives Tuesday with Guardians of the Dream, featuring a new raid Amirdrassil. It’s finally time to kill that jerk Fyrakk and take his Legendary ax, Fyr’Alath the Dream Render. It was confirmed there will be a Season 4 with Fated Raids, like in Shadowlands. This was an event where all of the expansion’s raids were increased to max level content.

Looci: OMG, such excitement after this weekends reveals. Watching the WoW presentations was incredible, and knowing that we are really getting Cataclysm in Classic was so worth the wait. I didn’t really play much of Cata, as we were in transition from Europe back to the States, so this will be very new for me. Many of us were hoping for more info on #changes and what we are getting. Transmog is great, looking forward to that, and not having to look ridiculous in awarded gear! But those of us in WotLK were really hoping for more info on the rest of the changes. We want flex raiding, as that would make our team so happy. 10 man raiding is great, but when you have 12 or 14 who want to raid, and can only take 10, makes it a struggle week after week. I am also excited that they are keeping the heroic + concept, as I think everyone has been enjoying the greater difficulty of the heroics with it in. some of the affixes are interesting, some are much more difficult than others, and some are just plain silly. We will see what the final outcome on how those changes are done, and whether ii is an improvement, or not. Keeping dungeons relevant through the entire expansion is awesome though and so I would like to see them more deeply iterated on. They talked about a faster cadence to the patching, which can be a bit disconcerting, as we are already compressed from the original content. In WotLK it seemed like we were in Naxx for ever, Ulduar wasn’t too bad, TOC was fast, and now we are in ICC, hoping for about 4 months here before we get prepatch. We are hoping for a date of April, much later than that will be WAY too long. So if they pick up the pace much faster, that might be an issue. Altho Mists was very definitely alluded to, as for all the “Mist eries” that await!

Some of the other news from Blizzcon was interesting. Many of us are intrigued by the Season of Discovery in Vanilla. But it is Vanilla, and that means SLOOOWWWW. Level banding helps with that, and the concept of Multiclassing for lack of a better term is really interesting. And a new raid always helps.

And even though I am a mostly Classic player, The Saga of the Earthsoul is cool, and I am excited for that too.

How can I play 3 versions of WoW, as well as my SWTOR and Ark, and Baldur’s Gate, and D&D? Well I guess sleep is for the weak. More hours in a day are kind of needed for all this gaming time! ??

A couple people have popped back into New World to check out the expansion and it’s looking pretty good. We don’t expect that much attention there but the company still exists if anyone needs it.

Diablo 4 Season 2 has started and is also looking pretty good. Some quality of life updates, like faster leveling, coupled with the season story and vampire abilities seem to be well received. I bet there’s a crew in the Diablo channel that would group up for fun times if anyone is interested.

ARK is likely going to release their remaster of the base game in the next week. We may have a group making an expedition into ARK and will post announcements if that’s going to happen.

Noob Raid is still working on getting a full clear of Aberrus for Kini since it seems like whenever she is there, Noob Raid doesn’t quite make it past all the bosses.

Speaking of raids, with patch 10.2 launching on November 7th, Blizzard has announced the raid schedule. And good news everyone, all difficulties, including LFR launch together, and LFR wings unlock every week, instead of every 2 weeks.

Gather your allies and join the Dream Wardens as they stand against the machinations of Fyrakk and his allies, the Druids of the Flame—for fame, for glory, for the World Tree—and for the rewards. You’ll face nine new bosses and engage in a Dragonriding encounter, leading to the ultimate showdown at the top of Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope.

Good News Everybody, ICC is open, we have been in twice now, and have downed the first 4 bosses with relative ease. Tonight we cleared Onyxia’s Lair, ToC 10 man, Malygos (Weekly quest), VOA, and the 1st 4 bosses in ICC. In other news, the Hallow’s End event is active, and we have been running the headless horseman daily. Successful mount drops for some of us, so they seem to have upped the drop rate. It’s great to be back in the raiding mode, and to have that comradery back.

We are also looking forward to BlizzCon to see what they announce regarding Cataclysm, and Classic in general.

SWTOR
In swtor game news, we got some updates on what 7.4 will bring, which included a game-wide upgrade to lighting and a new color tech. The new color tech includes a spectrum of shininess from matte to pearlescent to metallic. The first application of this new tech is going to be in six new dyes. Now when you say you got a shiny new armor piece, you can really mean it.

This is a reminder that flashpoints drop plenty of nice decorations for your stronghold, so they are worth running–especially when they are Conquest or Galactic Seasons objectives.

We had an active week in the guild with World Bosses and murderous mayhem during MFN, PVP action on Wednesday night and Space Pew Pew and heroics on Friday.

Update 40, which brings the new Endless Archive content, is scheduled to launch on Oct 30th for PC/Mac and Nov 14th for consoles. It brings some QoL changes like a new group finder for trials, arenas, and pretty much any other activity you might want to group up with friends to do.

We got the first new job reveal for Dawntrail! A dual sword wielding melee called Viper, designed specifically for ffxiv and sharing gear with Ninja. The swords can be combined into a long single weapon for their burst phase.

And FFXIV will have fur textures! Look at the amazing furry llama!

Corsairs of Umbar on track to release on November 8th

Lore of Umbar

The Haven of Umbar was a city to the far south of Gondor in Middle-earth, where the King’s Men and their descendants lived in a city of the same name. By the Third Age known for its sea-faring Corsairs.

New playable class

4 new regions with over 350 unique quests

New enemies that include a lion and a saltwater crocodile.

New level cap of 150

SSG wants players to have plenty to do and not necessarily get to endgame.

New endgame instances coming Dec/Jan timeframe

Upcoming improvements

Deeds panel

Map that doesn’t take up the whole map so you can have it open while running.

Looking at improving content for lower-level content while still adding endgame

New launcher that would include multi-factor authentication mid next year (probably)

4K update is still planned.

Executive Producer wants more mechanisms for players to group from disparate levels such as level 75 able to run with a 105 or even a 140 and be able to do meaningful content and get good rewards.

Devs are working on stuff for all categories of player types from endgame, explorers to crafters to those who want to immerse themselves in Middle-Earth. One thing is a parrot that sits on your shoulder, that uses an equipment slot, for one group and non-combat parrot pet for another group.

VIP updates are in the works to make it more incentivizing.

Skirmishes will get looked at after Umbar, as simple as updating rewards to being better for a varied group to join in.

WoW
In WoW retail, Noob Raid cleared Black Temple-Timewalking as part of the 5-week Turbulent Timeways event. (Why yes, there is a mount reward for it.) Brewfest ended and a new dragonriding race challenge: Eastern Kingdoms Cup began. Halloween events start on the 18th. Also, a new month means new Trader’s tenders collection. There’s a new mount on the board, and another set of legacy class armor enhancement sets too.

WoW Classic
Good News Everyone: Ice Crown Citadel opens next Thursday, with the associated dungeons opening on Tuesday. New dungeon difficulty comes out as well, and we are getting account wide pets and mounts and a real dungeon finder! Whoo Hooo!!! Our classic raid team spins back up this week after a long break over the summer. Now that everyone seems healthy again (especially our raid leader) we are looking forward to clearing TOC and moving into ICC next week!

We one shot the 10 person TCC raid last night, or first time as a raid in about 4 months. We then proceeded to take out some bosses in Ulduar in search of great upgrades. Remember that WotLK classic back-patches higher level gear drops to older raid tiers and heroic+ dungeons. We look to have 12+ members available for raiding again and will push stronger to take down that Lich King in ICC

SWTOR
For MFN on Tuesday, we engaged in some of our normal galactic mayhem, but we also took at look at a Lair Boss that many guildies on the team had never had the chance to see before — The Colossal Monolith. This boss is a sithspawn that guards his lair on the destroyed planet of Ziost. He guarded it pretty well from us, but we did make him mad.

On Wednesday, we won our first 4 matches to sweep the weekly and complete the Galactic Seasons objective. Friday night, our heroes struggled to defeat the Traitor Among the Chiss, but, through sheer grit and determination, eventually emerged victorious.

ESO
We have the tales of tribute 4 tournaments going on. We have gotten back into trials and have defeated a boss that we have never been able to in the past. in eso we are getting ready for update 40 on october 30th which will have an endless dungeon that can be soloed or faced with a partner or companion. they will be able to get class specific armor from this dungeon.

The Federation fleet is counting down the final big project for the colony, which will unlock Kentari bridge officers. All the colony has left are the cosmetic projects and stacking up some provisions so people can pick up anything they need.

The KDF fleet has been making big strides. The Starbase is closing in on Tier 3. The spire has been progressing nicely. We should have the best advanced tactical consoles in game soon enough. We also have been unlocking tier 1 of all the other holdings fairly quickly and this is partially so we can get some provisions for fleet members to use if they visit a friendly fleet that has more store items unlocked.

October 12th there should be a bunch of stuff coming. A new event will be starting, Fall off the Old Ones, which brings back the feline charm that everyone loved from last year. There is rumor that a free ship may be appearing also, which will be another variant of the Miranda class.

Gamma recruit creation also returns on the 12th. Gamma recruits are Jem’hadar and Jem’hadar Vanguard captains. They have special challenges you complete while playing the game to unlock rewards for the captain and account wide rewards. These captains will ally with either the Federation or the Klingon Defense Force.

Reminder that Dungeons and More Night is the 2nd Friday of the month, which for October is Friday the 13th! All are welcome.

LOTRO
The Corsairs of Umbar expansion has gone on pre-sale. With purchase you receive early access to the new Mariner class, and a bunch of cosmetics, horses, and a level 140 Valar pack (insta-level kit). The new zones will open up on November 1st, and we’ll have a new level cap of 150.

In WoW retail, Brewfest started this week. There are new quests — such as barrel rolling — in the Dragon capital Val-drakken as well as the usual ones outside Orgrimmar and Ironforge. Event boss Coren Direbrew can drop a new armor appearance for the Renewed Proto Drake mount — It took Gustytail about 20 tries to get this. Brewfest tokens can be used to buy a new shield and Brew Barrel toy.

Brewfest activities also count toward the monthly Trading Post achievement for the transmog obsessed.

Otherwise, many people are finishing achievements, leveling alts and looking forward to the next patch.

Kini, how was Noob Raid?

WoW Classic
Our Wotlk raid team is waking up and running dungeons and Brewfest activities in search of trinkets and upgrades. Interest in the Classic HC activities has led to some more folks joining AIE in Wotlk and leveling up. Patch 3.4.3 (including Ice seCrown Citadel, ICC 5-man dungeons, Random Dungeon Finder, and more) will be released on October 10th.

Joyous journeys has returned with its 50% xp boost.

They have cleared Ragefire Chasm on Hardcore Classic. As a reminder, death is permanent in these realms, so making it through, even the starter dungeon, unscathed is quite the task! Well done team!

They have had some spectacular deaths in HC Classic, check out the #hardcore-graveyard channel in the AIE Discord for details

SWTOR
In guild activities, last Friday night we had not one, but TWO groups playing. One for Git Some Fun (Flying Pew Pew) and one doing ground activities. So, if you want to play with friends on a Friday night, it’s always worth checking the menu. It might not be pvp!

And, if you wanna play with friends on a Tuesday night, join us for MFN. We are usually looking at accomplishing Galactic Seasons objectives, but variety is also to be expected.

Last, but not least, if you want to PvP on a Wednesday with friends, join Machete and Stask in the House of Pain for a rousing good time. All are welcome.

Patch 6.5 – Growing Light, is launching Oct 3rd! Expect a decent size chunk of MSQ, the final wing of the alliance raid which is named Thaleia; a new lunar dungeon, a new trial likely themed the same, a new variant dungeon, which is the choose your own path style of dungeon, or ‘endless dungeon lite’; and the hard mode or ‘criterion’ dungeon. Many dungeons, handle it. There will be somehow further hilidebrand, more tataru, and relic weapons too. We will also be welcoming in our Xbox friends, and the island sanctuary is getting another round of goodies too. It may be a ‘Light’ patch, but it is definitely not a ‘lite’ patch. Oh, and if you wanted anything from the moogles, the earnings end with this patch.

LOTRO
On Bullroarer we have now had 2 looks at the testing of the new upcoming mariner class. So far it feels like it will be a fun melee class to play. Time is running out to celebrate Bilbo’s birthday. The event ends very early in the morning on the 26th. If you want to get some of the group deeds cleared, let us know and we can get some folks together and run those with you.

And with that, let’s get back to Kini and find out what’s going on in ESO

GAME NEWS
MFN activities tend to change a bit depending on the group and what is going on in the game. Recently we took advantage of the Undaunted Event and split into groups to run dungeons for loot boxes and event tickets. We’ve also been diving back into trials, some of which we can fully clear easily, and others that give me ample opportunity to practice my floor tanking.

Kraemer is running another Tales of Tribute Tournament for the guild and sign ups are now open. It will start on Monday October 2nd and will run for 4 weeks. The prize pool will pay out at least the top 10 players with first prize being 1.5mil gold and win or lose, everyone seems to have a great time. If you have any questions or would like to sign up, check out the Tales-of-Tribute channel in the ESO section of AIE’s Discord. I know myself and a few others are always willing to do some demonstration or practice matches to help people learn the game if they have never played.

In game news, Endless Archive and Update 40 are available on the PTS and are scheduled to launch on October 30th for PC/Mac and Nov 14th for consoles. The Endless Archive is a randomly generated PvE activity designed for one to two players. The only limit to how far you can go is your death counter. There is a limited number of deaths or team wipes permitted before the run ends, but there will be boons and buffs along the way to help. Rewards include a mount, pet, cosmetics and new class sets. There is also a new currency that drops which can be used at the Archive’s vendors for class set items, style pages, and unique buffs. Update 40 will also come with some nice quality of life updates like a new group finder tool, Grand Master attunable crafting stations, quest XP and Gold reward adjustments, and a rebalance of the Jewelry crafting skill to remove the grains and convert them to plating (the items used to upgrade from white to green/blue/purple/gold and make the process cheaper and easier compared to how it is now.

I’m looking forward to checking out the Endless Archive with guild members and seeing how far we can go.
