Planet MtlQueCan disquiet0501
this track will bring you back down to earth with a harsh reality
Welcome to planet Montreal Quebec Canada come and visit the every dwindling population of Indigenous and anglophones before they become extinct
Ableton live : NI absynth3 + massive x , minimal delay + reverb
audacity : compression ,normalization + eq for the low end

Disquiet Junto Project 500: Humming to Your Selves
2guys named BOB met for a synth jam and after a while BOB realized he was just looking in the mirror and humming to himself "man ..that was some good weed"
Ableton live: ring MoD ,delay and pith shift , per track limiting NI MASSIVE X + beat sliced samples
audacity: post-production: fade in, fade out ,compression, normalization and id tagging
The original sound was the hot water heater and the water level valve discharging in my furnace room. I then used Ableton live "Grain Scanner" to generate 9 samples from this ambient sample, then using (FX) reverb, resonator, rig modulation, delay and pitch shift i mix and merged then in to the soundscape , finally all post processing was done in audacity (fade in fade out and general normalizing and compression)

i did 3 live takes using recorder exported to .wav
the 3 .wav files were post processed in ableton live los angeles resonator, delay, reverb and pitched for tuning ableton live exported to stereo .wav imported in to audacity trimmed compressed
happy 420 :)
using the source material http://goo.gl/hOQOSg i converted this image to a .wav
using this method : http://www.howtogeek.com/96690/stupid-geek-tricks-how-to-turn-images-and-photos-into-sound-files/
then i added the generated .wav file to a 3 track ableton live session reverb and delay , pitch shifting and beat repeat applied to the .wav
addition drums were added with sonic charge microtonic https://soniccharge.com/microtonic switching step rate from 1/8th to 1/32 live
this track was jammed in one take to the 3track
the resulting .wav was exported and trimmed for time in audacity a fade in , fade out and compressor was then used on the final
1: sampled a short loop of a small prayer bowl being struck with a soft mallet into audacity
2: applied change speed fx to speed the loop up 4x
3: a reverb was then applied roomsize % 100 pre delay(ms) 75 reverberation % 95 damping % 40 tone low %100 tone hi % 100 wet gain dB 4 dry gain dB -2 stern width % 100
4: applied change speed fx to return the loop to it original speed
artist note : i am not sure if this gives the same result as the analog method (o_0) ?
i used my own track (Disquiet0215) as the source material
in ableton live track 1 Helm played live track 2 Disquiet0215 track 3 Disquiet0215 with delay track 4 armed to record
done in one take :)
track 4 was exported to audacity where the .wav was trimmed a general compressor was applied
ambient synth Helm synth by Matt Tytel http://tytel.org/helm/
this project was perfectly timed :) i was going thru my old backups these are some sounds from a floppy titled "Eps Sample Disk1994 " i believe the origin of the sounds were a yamaha RY30 or boss DR660 i converted the disk sounds with Ensoniq Disk Tools(tm)by chicken sys
picked 5 sounds : " bell" ,"bdrum","bass1","glass","bass2"
in ableton live i used Drum Rack and ML-185 sequencer http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=75
as i recorded the track i changed length, direction, and clock timing
a stereo track was exported and final trimming and the addition of the 5 single samples to the start of the track was done in audacity
only a general compressor was used
artist note: this track reminds me of some of my very early industrial tracks using the midi output of a drum machine to trigger my eps sampler
using the basic frequencies 440Hz ,567 Hz , 569Hz
i recorded 2min pure sine waves of each from android function generator app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.erdemaslan.functiongenerator&hl=en
into ableton live
i separated the 3 wavs to 3 tracks panning 440Hz center ,567 Hz 10"oclock " , 569Hz 1"oclock"
to each track i added a Bode Frequency Shift Sequencer 1.0 set to 500Hz http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/3326/bode-frequency-shift-sequencer set to 8/8/16 bars modulation sine cycle the temp of this track is 120bpm on the master output : delay and general composer was added
a 1min .wav was exported this was trimmed (fade in/out) in Audacity
artist note : i have no idea what i am doing (O_0)? as a noise artist i often ask myself this question enjoy
i took the photo shop approach( layers ) in ableton live the 3 samples were time stretched to 7 min and then merged to form a noise bed ,then elements from each sample were cut up and placed on the time line with fx delay , reverb, phaser, compressor
i did this several times exporting 7min wav files of the takes i liked then i merged them all in audacity resulting in the final stereo wave file
mixed in Ableton Live the main bass was derived from a Frequency Shift Sequenced 484Hz and 500Hz sine tone only basic delay , reverb ,and compressor was used on the track

a one take track done in ableton live the source material was pitched to fill the back ground 2 microtonic drum tracks and camespace for fx
all recored to a separate track in one take
cheers
remixed in ableton live using only 4 tracks track 1 the original wav track 2 and 3 Sonic Charge - Microtonic3 done in 1 take to the 4th track audacity final mastering
i used Ableton live and made 6 copies of the same track then i added 2 tracks with mac startup and error sounds these were found online thru google search i added a compressor to al the tracks and started by pitching -/+ each track until i got a general wall of noise using the draw mode as the track looped i adjusted the volume and panning of each track
this final composition was exported and touched up in audacity
the only fx used were track reverb ,delay and general compressor
re working of a live jam recorded 8-9 2014 at Parc La Fontaine in Montreal francois létourneau Émilie Mouchous Donald Baynes
i deconstructed the original track in ableton live i applied a global fx from camelspace and then added a "clock like " synth line with massive . This was saved as .wav and then opened in audacity (weapon of choice) the track was then pitched to half speed normalized, compressed and trimmed for time .
