Peace Family, in today's segment of MAHA Speaks we're introducing a new segment called "Settle on the Best Part" that focusing on Self-Improvement & Solutions to help anyone, but specifically, Black people overcome impediments that prevent us from loving each other, unifying, and building.

Self-Improvement is the key to having healthy relationships and communities. It is the basis for community development we are taught by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Today we are going to attempt to briefly talk about a subject that has literally destroyed relationships, specifically Black families, organizations, friendships, and progress.

ENVY! Envy is a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions. To envy is to feel resentful and unhappy because someone else has achieved what you wish to achieve or possess.

Envy has many disguises. Envy is an intensely toxic and unredeemable emotion [less God intervenes]. It is a disease of the heart. Can you physically describe an envious person? Can you pick him/her out in a lineup? Can you draw an envious person? Do you know how it disguises itself in you and others?

We may have been victimized by or been guilty of inflicting it on others. What God blessed me to discover in my research is mind-blowing. So, we are going to talk about it.

Disturber of the Peace
Distorts Your Perception of Reality

Have you been homeless? I have and perhaps you have too. In the United States, there are over half a million people experiencing homelessness and these numbers are increasing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, 66.7 percent of the total homeless population of the United States is single individuals, with the remaining 33.3 percent being families.

Today’s episode of “Can I Get A Witness” with Sisters in The Nation is dear to my heart. We speak with Sister Sudan Tehesha Muhammad who works tirelessly in “Tent City” in Washington, D.C. serving and advocating for the homeless community and women entrapped in sex trafficking. She was homeless and is a survivor of sex trafficking, which explains her passion and drive to serve our people. She is a "Muslim woman striving to be pleasing in the eyesight of Allah(God)".

She feeds our brothers and sisters who have lost everything, the BEST food. I mean full course meals with desserts. She and her team, partner with others and they provide care packages, love, resources, and support by washing their clothes and giving them an inspiring word. She is very well known and has stories of them protecting her from those who don't like what she is doing.

I met my guest around 2008 when I was traveling with my family in the DMV. When you travel, you always want to go to the mosque, or you should. LOL! We visited Muhammad Mosque #4 and this sister came up to me, introduced herself, and introduced me to several other believers. She was just so sweet, kind, and fun-spirited and still is to this day.

She is a mother, wife, recording artist, actress, writer, producer, and a believer in Islam. She is an angel and I love love love her work. We talk about balancing motherhood, juggling a career, and how she survived multiple surgeries as a child. Sisters and brothers, I present to some and introduce to others, Sister Akilah Nehanda.

Our discussion today centers around struggling with defects while striving to be obedient to God in the Nation, how to handle disappointment, and keep calling on God and making Him your exclusive object through difficulty.

Peace Family, welcome to the launch of Inside the Mind of “MAHA SPEAKS”, a pure UNAPOLOGETIC BLACK EXCELLENCE series of Podcasts. I will introduce to some and present to others some of my closest friends and people we admire.

Today, October 27, 2020, would have been the 68th Birth Anniversary of my beloved big Sister Kaleema. She was an angel among humans. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, wife, poet, intellectual giant, a mathematical genius, an extraordinarily gifted writer, lecturer, author, game board creator and so much more. She was an ever-present force of peace in my life and in the lives of others.

I am launching the podcast on her birth anniversary because she was the one who inspired me to be myself, to read, to write, to act, to serve, to love, to share. It was she who challenged me to go deeper into things. She changed my life forever from reading. I thank Allah for her. I thank God for blessing me to be her little sister.

Peace Family, God Willing, you are in for a treat today. In our first episode, I wanted to have a fireside chat with one of my closest friends. What is sisterhood. A sisterhood means to "cover" your sister. To protect her. To inspire her. To help her. A friend is similar. What is friendship? Friendship is a mutual relationship that seeks harmony, understanding, caring, and rapport. A person who gives assistance, a patron, and a supporter.

We also discussed the Power in the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad as taught by the HOnorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and how what the Minister teaches changes your life for the good of humanity. Everything we talked about sisterhood, family, marriage, sports, etc. all came back to a few things discipline, consistency, and love.

Please allow me to present to some and introduce to others Sister Mareshah Muhammad, a mother, wife, educator, student, soldier, youth mentor, creative genius, a stand-up siSTAR, one of my closest friends and so much more. If you just want to be yourself, whoever that is, she got you. You can trust that there will be no judgment, no jealousy, no envy, no selling you out, no impatience. She always comes through, someway, somehow, on time and in a magnificent, creative, unique way. I love her and I know you'll fall in love with her too.
