With grace and humor, Jason juxtaposes an inclusive, reconciling, self-giving, unconditional view of God's love against an excluding, hierarchal, punishment-focused, conditional view of God's love.
Jason introduces the book he is currently working on, Leaving (& Finding) Jesus, which challenges readers to stop building their faith upon the broken foundations of a transactional view of God, and instead, embrace the powerful understanding of reconciliation and self-giving love that truly transforms our lives and our world.

Jason gives one of his foundational messages on living in an awareness of our Father's measureless love. This message highlights one of the greatest shifts in Jason's life and faith when He repented from the dysfunction of living desperate for His Father's affection, love, blessing, promises, and so on.
Jason speaks from his backyard to Destiny Christian Fellowship in Madison WI during the self-quarantining days of April 2020. As the Corona Virus is sweeping across the land, this is a time for believers to live confident in love as giants in the faith. Jason invites us to repent and think as God thinks.
Repenting isn’t a heavy burden, a 24-hour wailing session focused on our brokenness, and poverty, and need, and sin. Repenting is a 2 min, 4 min, 24 min, 24 hours, 240 days and on and on revelation and agreement of our Father’s perspective in which we lay our burdens down, we exchange brokenness for righteousness, poverty for hope, peace, and joy; and sin for wholeness.
Repenting is the gift Jesus gave us to live confident as sons and daughters in His love on earth as it is in heaven.
This message is an invitation to grow sure in His affection and live confident in His love today!

Jason speaks on the offensively good news. The Love of God. He speaks on the measureless revelation of love, how love is beyond our ability to comprehend, how love exists beyond time and space, how love continually is better than our understanding and invites us to repent, be set free and grow in love.
This message was given in February 2020 at The Gate Church
"I pray that you would be one." This is the Lords Prayer, the one Jesus prayed over us. His desire is that we would know the same intimacy He knew with our Father and Holy Spirit.
This message was given at The Reformers Gathering in 2019 at The Gate Church in Charlotte NC. This message is an invitation into the reformation Jesus started 2000 years ago, it is an invitation into oneness with Christ.
This is the very first word Jason gave at Newsong Church (at the time Ardent Faith). Jason shared his life’s message of growing sure in our Father's love.
Our Heavenly Father is always good and doesn’t desire desperate kids. Any relationship where kids are desperate for their Father is dysfunctional. Jesus revealed what it looks like to live sure as a loved son of our Father and gave us access to this same sureness.
“When we walk in a revelation of our Father's love, even the hard stuff is easy.” Love is measureless and it trumps every need.
This message was given at Newsong Church 11-10-13
Jason shares stories from his life on walking in friendship with God our Father.
"I no longer call you servant, I call you friend." This is the invitation Jesus gave us. There is no servant master language in heaven. Obedience is the invitation to discover his Gid's heart until ours beats in rhythm with His.
Jason, through the story of Abraham offering Issac as a sacrifice, highlights how God transforms out thinking through testing that we might truly see Him for who He. Thereby having access to intimacy in ways we could have never experienced before.
Jason gave this message to Christian Victory Church in the spring of 2019.
Jason focuses on the power of an encounter with God’s love and the impact thankfulness has on our lives. The message was taken from Luke 17:11-19
“Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
“In Oct I visited with my good friend Scott Crowder and DreamHouse Church in Newport News VA. This church family has become a home away from home and this was my 7th visit in nine years.
On this Sunday Scott asked if I would speak on the particular scripture from that week’s Lectionary, the 2019 liturgical calendar which DreamHouse has been following this year.
I was honored to dive into the family story of DreamHouse for this year. Luke 17:11-19 was read before I got up to speak.
I pray the message encourages."

"Love is the one thing that we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space." Dr. Brand from the film, Interstellar.
While God placed us in a world defined by measurements, He breathed His Spirit, the measureless revelation of love, into us.
Jason invites us to trade a finite perspective with an infinite revelation. And the good news is, in Christ, it’s possible for us to discover this revelation!
Eph 2:6 "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus..."

To live in the confidence of the reward Jesus purchased for us.

“Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it (a demon) out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:19-21
In this message, given to Newsong Church, Jason teaches that Jesus wasn’t talking about the size of our faith, He was talking about the purity of our faith. He wasn’t talking about the size of our actions, or words or knowledge, He was talking about the size of our connection. He was talking about intimacy.

Jason kicks off a Newsong Church message series based on Mark Batterson’s book, Whisper. Jason teaches on the importance of our methodology of interpretation (our hermeneutic). Jason highlights how Jesus always heard God through the lens of family and while He lived as an obedient servant, it was always in the context of son-ship. I no longer call you servant, I call you friend. Friendship with God is the whole point of hearing Him. And when we are His friends, we represent Him truly. “We can’t be His voice if we can’t hear His voice.”
This message was given to Newsong Church, Jan 2018.
Jason teaches on the subject of family to his home church in the second week in their new building. Honor is the language of family. Honor creates a culture where trust can grow. Trust is the birthplace of intimacy and is the expression of family. Jason also teaches on how to navigate offense through honor.
This message was given to Newsong Church on our second week in our new building, Dec, 2017.

Jason teaches how our faith is a partnership with our redeemed imagination. It’s the evidence of things unseen. Faith simply believes God is good and can be trusted. Faith isn’t bootstrap “try harder” living, it’s simply agreeing with the nature of God – the sovereignty of His love. Faith gives us access to heavens perspective. Faith gives us access to heavens perspective.
This message was given to Newsong Church in 2015.
Jason uses The Polar Express movie to reveal how faith and hope can be accessed through a greater revelation of our Father. He teaches about how Jesus and the Holy Spirit are continually making a way for us to know our Father.
This message was given to Newsong Church in 2013.
We were created to burn for God and to live in such a way that the world is transformed. Often we avoid tension. But it is impossible to grow or fulfill our mandate unless we are willing to embrace tension for the sake of revelation.
This short message was given to Newsong Church in the fall of 2014.
Jesus received the “well done” or “well pleased” from His heavenly Father before He did any of the things He is famous for. Jesus lived from His Father pleasure, from His Fathers measureless love. And He purchased for us, this same revelation.
This message was given to Christian Victory Church in Peterborough ONT CAN in the fall of 2015.
Jason goes more in-depth on this subject in his book, Prone To Love.

In each test that God gives is available to us breakthrough for our thinking, for our future experiences and for the generations that follow us. This breakthrough is available to the extent that we, like Abraham with Issac, go into the test contending for resurrection life, contending for the goodness of God, the sovereignty of love.
Jason helps us reset our God lens regarding testing. Testing is an invitation to a greater revelation of sovereign love so that we can access intimacy.

Grace is unmerited favor. We can’t do anything to earn it and we can’t do anything to abuse it. Grace enables us to see ourselves from God’s perspective and empowers us to live in agreement with how He sees us – as saints of the Highest One. This message was given to Newsong Church Sept of 2017.
This message was given to Newsong Church in 2016. Jason talks about how Proverbs 13:2 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” is not meant to be a commentary on life. We can actually choose by faith to live in “longing fulfilled” regardless of our circumstances. We are instructed to live abounding in hope.
This message was given to River Church Charlotte in 2010. Jason had just started writing Prone To Love, a book focused on the always good love of our heavenly Father. This message has been the foundation of every aspect of the life and ministry of A Family Story.

This message is an invitation to dream in the power and authority of an “Old Man,” to dream again in the places where we have tasted disappointment, failure or pain. It highlights how Peter, in the garden of Gethsemane, was transitioning from the vision of young men to the dreaming of old men.
This message was given to Newsong Church May of 2015.
This message is an invitation to become sure in our Fathers love. Jason highlights how Jesus received a “well pleased,” a “well done” before He did any of the stuff He is famous for. All the miracles were done from His Fathers pleasure. We have been invited to live the miraculous greater works existence just like Jesus lived it.
This message was given to Newsong Church in August of 2013.
Jason teaches on John 15:15 “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
A servant can’t know the heart motivations of God but a friend knows intimately who the Father is and how He thinks. We have been invited into friendship and only through friendship can we establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven.
This message is an invitation to step into a breakthrough in our thinking which leads to breakthrough in our experience and finally, breakthrough for the generations.
This message was given to Newsong Church in March of 2017.
“I am weak and He is strong” that is a line to a famous children’s song. It’s a beautiful song and a true story, but not the whole story. Jesus revealed and purchased for us the whole story, grace. And Paul taught us that grace was “sufficient,” “more than enough” to empower us in the areas of our weakness. “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10
Jason teaches that grace empowers us in weakness to be strong. Jason also teaches that our intimacy with God is how we fight our battles.
