Kyle Borey graduated from LaSalle Institute in Troy, NY in 2017, playing football, basketball and baseball. He went on to play college football at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass. Attending college camps and regional showcases can be an effective way to gain the attention of college coaches. In this episode, coach Kito breaks down the different types of camps and shares what you should consider before attending a showcase.
LaVell McCullers grew up playing football and basketball and was a standout athlete at Aberdeen High School. Upon graduation (2014), LaVell attended Marist college, and played quarterback on the schools football team. Struggling to adjust to college life, LaVell moved 2500 miles across the country to play for City College of San Francisco. The move paid off! LaVell helped lead the team to a National Junior College Championship and received over 15 scholarship offers along the way. LaVell would accept an offer from Prairie View A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections.

Coach Jerrad Knotts spent the last decade as an assistant basketball coach for the SUNY Albany Great Danes. Central Michigan football alum, Kito Poblah was a team captain his senior year when he finished second on the team with 558 yards and five touchdowns. During his collegiate career, Kito caught a total of 154 passes for 1,908 yards and 15 touchdowns including a streak of 36 consecutive games with at least one reception. He finished his career at Central Michigan in ninth place on the school’s all-time receiving yardage list. Before transferring to Fordham University, Antwon Portley (_twon_13) enjoyed a successful freshman season at St. Peter's, where he was named to the MAAC All-Rookie team and earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors three times. Jonathan Lawton (@jlawton.3) began his collegiate career at St. Thomas Aquinas and appeared in 51 games for the Spartans. He earned East Coast Conference Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman, leading the Spartans to 28 wins and an appearance in the Elite Eight of last year's NCAA Division II National Tournament. After his sophomore season, Jonathan decided to transfer to Florida Southern. Schenectady, New York native Willie Deane helped lead Schenectady High to a 28-1 record and a NY State Championship title his senior year. He earned an athletic scholarship to attend and play basketball for the Boston College Eagles. Needing a change of scenery, Willie transferred to Purdue University as a walk on. Deane became a starter for the Boilermakers midway through his sophomore season, led the Big 10 in scoring as a junior. Earning an athletic scholarship from Purdue along the way.
Post-college, Deane went on to enjoy a prolific 15-year pro career which included three Bulgarian championships, one Bulgarian Cup, a French championship, a French Super Cup and an Italian championship. The recent retiree is now a speaker and author of the children's book, LOVE.

During his senior year of high, coach Bob McLaughlin suffered a torn ACL causing him to miss most of his senior season. Upon graduating from high school, he enrolled at Hudson Valley Community College and was a member of the school's baseball team. After one season at HVCC, McLaughlin transferred to Division 2 and Great Midwest Athletic Conference member, Alderson Broaddus. As a Battler, he played in every game from 2011-2013, starting all but two. McLaughlin graduated in the spring of 2013 with his bachelor's degree in Sports Management. Today, coach McLaughlin is the head baseball coach for Division 2 and South Atlantic Conference member, Coker University.

Scott Mitchem is a former Sporting News Magazine Top 100 Football Players and BlueChip Magazine High School All American who earned a full athletic scholarship to Syracuse University. Malik Nichols played wide receiver and strong safety for the Maine Black Bears. He co-captained the 2001 team which made it to the second round of the NCAA 1AA playoffs. In addition to being a leader on the filed, Malik was very active on campus, serving as President of the Blak Student Union, and Senator in the Student Government. Nyheim Hines is a former 4-star student-athlete who hails from Garner, North Carolina. As a highly sought after recruit, Nyheim received over 30 scholarship offers before committing to NC State University to play college football. As a junior in 2017, he rushed for 1,112 yards on 197 carries with 12 touchdowns for the Wolfpack. After the season, he declared for the 2018 NFL Draft. The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the 4th round, with the 104th overall pick.
