We Can’t Change People or Their Actions, But We Can Change Ourselves
Don’t let people steal your joy! If you experience uncomfortable feelings around people, change the environment or company you keep. Select positive environments. You don’t have to be a doormat. And by all means, change yourself where necessary. You cannot change others anyway.

Writing Encouraging Words to Yourself That Celebrate Your Essence
Today we celebrate you! We also encourage you to learn how to celebrate yourself. Fill in your own name. We will have a special edition program with guests we celebrate in the coming weeks.
We recognize for that for which you may never get credit. You might consider making a list. Today we celebrate your complexion, your body type (i.e. Short, tall, slim, thick, etc.). We celebrate your accomplishments. You may have dropped out of high school and went back to get your GED. You may be working multiple jobs to take care of your family. You may be helping others and sacrificing your time, etc. to see them succeed.
Forgiveness? Part II
Forgive those that you believe have wronged you. Again this forgiveness is for you. Holding on to anger, resentment, maybe even misunderstanding of events can cause depression, anxiety, loss of trust, and disrupt healthy relationships.
Forgiveness: Part I
Yes, this forgiveness starts with you! Let’s begin by forgiving yourself for any guilt or shame you have been holding on to. Why do you blame yourself? Let’s get to the root of the matter.
To Thine Own Self be True
It’s normal to have a strong emotional response to your hurtful past or memories. But, do not get stuck there. You must enter the healing process. Acknowledge and confront your pain. Sometimes that means addressing those that have wronged you or simply writing them a letter that you keep, burn, shred, or rip to pieces. The key is to move through the process and release yourself to heal.
Improving Your Focus by Getting to Know YOU Better Journaling is a great way to keep an overview of your thinking over time to keep tabs on both the positives and negatives in your thoughts and actions.
Clearer Thinking
You can’t hold that many thoughts in your head at once. If you want to solve a problem it can be helpful to write down your thoughts, facts, and feelings about it. Then you don’t have to use your for mind for remembering; you can instead use it to think more clearly. Having your thoughts written down gives you an overview and makes it easier to find new connections that can help you solve the problem.
Protect Your Rights!
Weighing the pros and cons of keeping or selling copyright. We advocate retaining all rights, but some may beg to differ. Do what makes the most sense for you!
***Note on statement regarding advances paid by publishers at the 8 min mark: L. David Harris' statement of having to "work off" the pay advance and whether or not the author could "keep" it would better be stated that one would not earn any royalty income until equiv. royalty revenues exceed that advance dollar amount. No royalties are generally paid to those who sell copyrights until the advance payment amount has been exceeded (unless there is a clause in the contract to indicate otherwise).
Strategize Spin-Off Businesses
What small business with low overhead can you launch to maximize exposure for your business? If you keep a keen eye on your original product, the market will dictate the answer.
The Impact of Positive Supporters of Your Mission & How to Maximize That Impact - Part 2
Learn to value those who support you. Show them love. Provide value to their lives. Search for ways to add to their lives rather than expecting them always to buy or sell your stuff (which they may be pleased to do). Carefully look for opportunities to duplicate yourself by encouraging one or two others to add value to the marketplace.

Set a Solid Infrastructure Before Rolling Out Your Story
This program is related to having dedicated email addresses, telephone numbers, websites, blog sites, video and social media channels, etc. More importantly, it is critical that you place your story into the hands of professionals who can push it out so the greatest number of people can have access. You need to be ready for the next level well ahead of the time your big break is presented to you. There’s little worse than having to find money and contact some obscure printer to fast-track more product under pressure and falling flat at critical times. Unpreparedness may cause you to miss a once in a lifetime opportunity! That is an unacceptable risk.
Unpacking Your Story for the World
Everything in your story is not necessarily for public consumption. How do we share in a way that helps as many people as possible, only sharing the details that matter? Some of us share too many of the gory details. Others sensationalize things, and thereby fictionalize truth. Others think a little too much about themselves and write memoirs nobody really cares about besides a few friends and loved ones. #findbalance.
Preparing Yourself & Possibly Others for the Time You Choose to Go Public
Depending upon the aspect of your life covered in the particular story, you may need to prepare for emotional episodes. Some stuff is so heavy that reliving it through storytelling can be very painful. There are times that certain details will affect others directly or indirectly. How do you handle that?
Everybody Has a Story!
It is a great idea to search your memory for experiences that may be helpful to others. Movies are based on people’s stories. Songs are based on people’s stories. Books, poems, coursework and other curricula (i.e. Holocaust, Civil Rights Mov’t, etc.) are based on people’s stories. It is fundamental to tap into some of your many stories for the benefit of others. Do not disrespect the masses by withholding something that could change many people’s lives.
