I’m dropping in this week to hold you in deep encouragement, steeped in love and unwavering support. We are in strange times, that’s nothing new, and there’s a feeling that more change is coming, new transitions are starting to take shape on the horizon. And we are moving toward them. New ways of relating to self, other energies, daily life, work and purpose are all opening up. New love wrapped in new potential is coming through. It feels like the unknown, and we may be navigating something that feels wholly muddled right now. We need to feel encouraged, and I’m here this week to fill this need. We deserve to be wrapped in a comforting blanket of reminders that this isn’t all there is. That it’s ok to change forms, and change forms again. It’s ok to let go, be free, embrace a life that feels so different from what has been. Let my voice be your guide. Let my love light your way. Listen for these five minutes. And then, if you need to, listen again. I’m here, and I love you, deeply. I cherish your sacred journey. Medicinal blessings, Kristi
Ahh, Mercury Retrograde, that often mentioned astrological phenomenon. This occurrence gets tossed around a lot, often with the joking question of "Is Mercury in retrograde?" attached to it. But what does it really mean? I am answering this question from a symbolic and energetic focus, offering language around what the significance is when a sky body appears to move backwards. Hint, all bodies in motion affect other bodies, including our earth mother body, and our own human bodies. Mercury as a symbol represents the mind, communication, and intellectual processes. We use these processes to create relational energy and experiences. When mercury is retrograde, we are given the time to retreat, review, reimagine, and remember what we have been creating, with a deeper intensity. When used with intention, it is a fruitful time to close loops, and revisit past happenings to let them go once and for all. With the sacred numerology of 3 as a support during a retrograde, we are in a position to retreat and allow the life/death/rebirth cycle to come full circle. This is a very potent process, and it often asks us to be committed to our own rest and retread in order to allow it to fully land and integrate something that is asking for our embodiment. Where in our lives do we feel this call? And how are feeling this lately? What themes in our lives are recurring, coming up again, or having another go? Let the retrograde motion be your teacher and your guide to greater purpose, freedom and liberation from past experience, old choices, and outdated programming. Blessed to have you here. So much love to you. Retrograde blessings, Kristi

This week, I am joined by my friend and very wise woman, Kathryn C. Robinson. Kathryn is a beautiful, mellifluous being, who (you will hear!) expresses her unique essence and earthbound medicine through use of her voice. She is a movement and body-based practitioner who focuses her expressions on helping others unearth and release trauma often experienced (or expressed) by grief in its many forms. She uses various therapies, such as yoga, kirtan, and meditation, and her musical background and talent employs her into a wider range of modalities, including sound and vocal expression to help regulate and discharge emotional material from an individual essence. During our conversation, she takes us on a bodily journey; one that brings us to moments of hallelujah in the body. Though we can experience great pain, she urges us to understand that anytime we access and move emotion from within, it is deep cause for praise and celebration, as the result is a piece of the Self being returned, renewed and restored. From our own grief stories, to the empowered agency we can create from the physiological awareness generated by body based practices, you will find yourself having more than just a moment with your own grief. Our time together in conversation is one of reckoning, recognition, and true release, leading to wider understanding of our own expression and power.
In our conversation, we discuss:
If you are ready to explore these themes and more in a loving conversation, please join us. We love to have you hear.

Welcome back to the show for my solo jam on how some very heavy energy is moving through (the already dense material of) bodies lately. There is a palpable set of challenging energies in the collective atmosphere, and they are coalescing and manifesting through each of us as individual bodies and unique essences, taking shape in different (and most likely relational avenues) in our lives. What a challenging time it has been for many of us. Some of us may have been feeling this ramped up challenging energy already back in Leo season, and many of us (myself included) are now experiencing the very strong disruption of these manifesting energies in the form of very real earthbound challenges. In this episode, I am taking us through a conversation that helps us name our challenges, and invite the awareness we need to stay on the middle path of balance and self honoring as we feel the disruptive nature of life on Earth at this moment. It is a great, alchemical, evolutionary time, and if you are wondering how you're actually feeling because it seems almost indescribable, I will encourage you to allow the deep biological and physiological processes to unfold as they are. It may feel like an emotional apocalypse somedays. The key to our survival, and ultimate liberation, is to be with it. Take your time. Honor your body's responses and be curious about them. Notice where your breath is shallow, notice where it has space to be deep. Connect to the patterns of your nervous system. We can do all of these things by taking space from all that the external world is trying to force us to hold, and being with the world within that is asking for restructure. It may feel like structures inside are truly crumbling. Hold yourself with grace as this happens. None of our experiences are binary, so we can hold ourselves open to what is beyond what we know. There is always more than just what we see presently, and when we tap deeper into presence, we can take a greater agency in our choices, even in the heaviest of experiences. The outcomes, at this moment, are fully internal. What are we in service to when we make our choices? And where are still too entangled to feel like we even have a choice? We will explore all this and more through a spiritual and embodied lens in our conversation this week. Blessed to have you join me. Sending so much deep love and support, Kristi
Recorded on the second full blue Moon in Aquarius of Leo season 2021, this episode is here to help you move and process this momentous amount of energy that many of us are feeling right. We are at a critical point, a pinnacle, in our lives. We are like writers with pen posed, ready to create that first line of the next chapter. This is the line that draws us in and sets the tone for the story. The one that gets us excited and passionate about what comes next. We have been working towards this moment for quite awhile. And now, the energies we are coalescing are ready to bring a culmination of changes in the earthbound realm. Look around. What do you see happening in your life? What have you been asking for? Can you see parallels between the two? Are you asking for signs and guidance? And are you spacious and open to receive them? Remember that the universe often speaks in a whisper, a subtlety, a small genauere. And if we tune in, and pay attention to the unity between heart and mind (instead of spinning out on the mental plane alone) and get back into our bodies (somatic experience), we will be able to see in the environment around us, and our internal, intuitive eye will be open as well. This is the power we need to move forward into a more liberated, peaceful state of being. In this moment, something is landing. And we have the power to bring it in and build upon it beautifully. Amen. Deep love and blessings for this experience. Thank you for being here. Love, Kristi
There is a lot of energy coalescing right now. Here, on the continent of North America, fires are raging, consuming land and structure, billowing smoke for miles. Covid cases are increasing, sickness is spreading. Human life is being disrupted and displaced. There is grief. The energy is fraught. On a personal level, relationships are breaking down, partnerships are ending. Concepts of home, family, love and stability are changing. We are reaching critical moments in our collective and individual experience. Things have been set into motion, are culminating, the wheel of life is turning. Our hearts and minds are being barraged with a momentous amount of information, sensation, feeling, and newness. Our minds may be grappling to navigate, to get us to the next answer. To help us hold on to something. Our hearts may feel disconnected, overwhelmed, broken, or displaced. In this episode, instead of offering anything more for you to take in, I’m inviting you to join me in a space of meditation so that you may feel into, take in, and process what is already there for you. I’m offering a journey that will take you deep into the heart’s space of your embodied being, of your Holy Spirit self, of the symbols of this powerful entity. We will work with the breath, the heart, spine, and mind in an embodied way, as well as a poetic, symbolic way to help us see our experience as our inner worlds wish us to. These set of moments are for you. Come as you are. Stay for a sound bath from my singing bowls. Be blessed by the information, or the sense of peace, or whatever it is that comes through for you in this time. I am offering journaling questions at the end as a way to further this practice and bring you into a conversation with your innermost and honest self. If you need the time and sacred space to sit and breathe, experience, witness and feel, this one is for you. Love you all. ~Kristi
Welcome back to the show! After a few weeks hiatus, we are here on the New Moon in Leo, 2021, to share thoughts on a few patterns that dance around in our lives together: avoidance, which I define as not making the choice to orient towards something we know we need to; bypassing, which is what happens when we repeatedly move away from situations that ask us to learn from them; and ghost culture, which is what we get (presently) collectively from the pervasive individual patterns of avoidance and bypassing. We’ve all done it—actively ignored or shut out a person or situation we didn’t want to confront. We’ve ghosted and been ghosted. But what are we really doing when we make those choices? In this episode, I am revealing the ways in which we leak our power when we make the choices to avoid, bypass and ghost. We disempower ourselves, and we disempower others. And many of us are doing this without even realizing just how much energy is being leaked from our own reservoir when these habits rule our decisions. Here and now, we are presented with some new awareness of our own agency, and the power to choose ways of closing cycles, connections, and circumstances that leave us fuller, more aware of our own compassion, and more deeply steeped in our own medicinal nature. Bring your open heart and your open mind, and let’s jam together. Love, Kristi Show Notes: the book I mention is called Existential Kink, by Carolyn Elliot, PhD. This week on the show, I am taking us into the lessons of grief: what it means to grieve, what we are actually doing and creating when we grieve, and how we are reckoning and retrieving pieces of ourselves and our power through the cycles of grief. Grief is a practice that takes us further through the doorway of our own medicine. The essence of it as a practice brings us to the understanding that we must grieve, and grieve fully in order to move through soul loss--that sensation of stickiness in despair and hopelessness that can grow if we don't move through it--and into the deeper work of reckoning, reclamation, retrieval and remembering. It can be a long journey, seemingly endless as we may find ourselves cycling through older energies that were not grieved fully at the time of their happening. Sometimes, we can carry grief for just a moment, which helps us redirect our presence and intention to a higher frequency of clarity. Often, when we are choosing to meet our grief consciously, we are blessed beyond our personal experience. Our grief has the power to write a new future for our children and creations because we are healing ancestral karma patterns that have swallowed grief and emotion and kept them held within the cells, as well as intergenerational pattern inheritance that showed us how to stifle our pain and instead let it blow wonkily out the side in some form of anger, addiction, abuse, or obsession or distortion of another kind. This lesson today about the awareness that grief brings us to, and the medicine that we find within our grief. The human experience can be a steeping process that sets us further into the medicinal essences we are here to embody and bring forth. Grief is a doorway into the medicine. And our sacred responsibility as we move towards our medicine is to walk through the doorway, and all doorways beyond the initial one. Because our healing requires it. Our legacy requires it. Our future selves require it. A'ho

This week on the show, we are recognizing the true essence of the nature of all things: divinity. That soul residing in an earthbound body that looks out into the world from our human eyes. Are we using our eyes to truly see the divine nature of all beings? Maybe. Only if we are willing to meet and greet our discomfort and say, "I don't know how I am going to move through this, and I am going to do it anyway." To give middle world illustration and anecdote of this, I am offering three very personal narratives of times when I saw the divine in beings that I would've not looked at previously. Yes, it is much easier to recognize divine qualities in people we love and appreciate and see already. Our sacred responsibility as embodied, empowered beings, though, is to love all. To See you soon, truly deeply see through the eyes of the divine and recognize and honor the godself of another. Can we see the god or goddess that we are? Have a returned to that true essence of our medicinal nature? If so, then we must turn our eyes to the beings around us, and acknowledge what is beyond the earthbound circumstance of another embodied soul. We must see past the outer vehicle, and look into the eyes of the divine. If we truly wish to lead a spiritual life, full of our own medicinal essences, and resonating with the higher frequencies of love and healing and embodied truth, we must go beyond. To look where we previously have looked away. To meet what we have thought to be unmeetable, or unworthy to be met. We have to go where we think we will never find spirit. And we must see the full divinity there. In ALL beings. In ALL life. And overlook nothing. We are all teachers for each other, we are all students on a sacred journey. We are all part of the same soul university. And we must recognize this now. More than ever the time is now. See through the eyes of the divine. And watch your life, your relationships, your medicine, transform in transcendental ways. A'ho

Continuing on our journey from last week, we are diving further into Ancient Greek myth to understand our own process of individuation and actualization. Referencing the story of Demeter, Persephone and Hades, I retell the myth and uncover its symbology to land the wisdom of the individuation process that actualizes our unique essences for you. Individuation takes place when we, out of rebellion or in answer to our soul's calling, deliberately and intentionally move away from the bonds of our first family and the history we have previously been rooted in in order to create the life we desire. This comes with a choice to move towards initiation (represented by the flower) and will move us towards confronting our demons (Hades) as they rise up into our consciousness. It is then that we move into the Underworld to undertake the process of individuation at a deep psyche level, and when we emerge, we are more of ourselves, standing taller as individuals with unique essences and medicine to offer. I offer the many polarities that we can access from the symbols that, when integrated, bring us into a wholeness that is required to recognize our divinity. If you are on a journey of realization what it is your want for yourself and your life, and are seeking ways to move away from essences that are keeping you from that path, this episode will help you understand the process of individuation in a larger, macro way, as well as the smaller micro lens situations that help push us out of the parameters of our first families and past histories and into the individuated seat of the soul. Be blessed in this journey and know that you are not alone. Love and blessings, Kristi

This week on the show, we are referencing ancient myth and goddess culture to recognize and understand the Beauty of our Underworld journeys and experiences on the path of our soul's evolution I am taking us through the energy of the ancient birthing/destroyer goddess, Hel, who brings us through the fires of our initiation, and into the cavernous seclusion of our shadowy unconscious. We begin our descent with a crossover of the River Styx, the entangled, toxic emotions (water) that we need to face in order to reclaim our shadow. We get on a boat for the crossing, a symbol of the divine direction of the soul, and we pay the ferryman (the goddess as our guide) with something precious to us in order to make the crossing (our comfort / what we know / sacrifice of old ways of being). On our journey through the underworld, we recognize the beauty of transformation being offered to us as we confront the fiery essence of purification. What was is no longer, and we are using our time in the underworld for retrieval, reckoning and remembrance of our own divinity, and of the Medicine we carry and embody. If you are looking to understand the ways that the underworld can work in your life consciously, this episode will bring you on a journey of clarity and recognition. Ultimately, our time in the underworld sets us free, liberates the shadow to transmute into I AM qualities, and brings us further into standing deep and tall in our Original Medicine. Blessed Be. Much love to you all, Kristi

Our Sacred Fire, how do we light it? One way to begin is to follow the trail to knowing what intimidates us, or what we admire in others that we think we do not have within ourselves. Often, these are the qualities that we feel are out of reach for us, and yet, if we pivot towards discomfort and go beyond the veil, we can retrieve these qualities and integrate them into our wholeness. On the other side of discomfort is a deeper knowing of our Medicine, is an actualization of our our sacred fire. Our ability to become the sun, the solar force, of our own lives and legacies is actualized through the awareness of what excites and arouses our passionate nature. What do we love to do, and can we allow ourselves to dream into the feeling of what it would be like to have more of it? And then, can we surrender the vision to the feeling and take the necessary action to keep stoking that inner fire until it becomes sustainably ablaze? Yes, we can. And it starts with making different choices. Lighting that fire does not come from choosing sameness. It comes from consciously choosing the thing that we don't usually choose to do. Making time for our art, our music, our creations, our voice, whatever that may look like, that is a tangible way to begin. We cannot have a life lit by passion and fueled by our highest essence if we do not make the time for that sacred passionate and fiery feeling to come in and live within the realm of our embodied awareness. In this episode, I am encouraging you and affirming you on the trail back to your own sacred internal fire. How to light it will be your choice, and I hope to provide a guided pathway of beginning and remembering the soul-ar truth that is you and your original medicine, your sacred flame. Blessings for the journey of discovery and may much love and joy be found along the way. Amen. ~Kristi
What is plant medicine? Plant Medicine goes beyond the realm of what we may think it is; it includes more than an Ayahuasca ceremony, it goes beyond the "spiritual" retreats we take ourselves on to experience these plant allies. Plant medicine is present for us daily. In fact, some of us are entangled in unconscious codependent habits with plants, and in these ways of relationship, have forgotten their medicinal and sacred essences, and instead sacrificing them to consumerism, recreation, and extraction.
In this space, I am taking us into a conversation that opens our awareness around what it means to be in Right Relationship with plant allies and their original medicine. During our time, I will cover:
I hope you feel intrigued and encouraged to go deeper into your connection with the plant allies in your life, take on the curiosity to learn of plants and their medicinal essences, and are willing to make a conscious attempt to choose the path of the earth keeper through honoring intention when working with plant allies. Thank you deeply for joining and sharing this space with me. I am blessed to share with you. Love, Kristi
This week’s episode is about the energy pattern of the Crone or Wise One, which we all have access to, no matter our age, gender or experience. The Crone is the voice within that beckons us to our own well of wisdom within, calling us to move through change when we are on the edge of it, and teaching us of our own deep knowledge when we are ready to hear of it. The energy is present for us whether we are conscious of it, or not. And it becomes stronger and more nourishing the more we welcome it. This week, I’m taking us into the embodiment of the Crone. From my own experience, to the universal tendencies and abilities we all have within, I’m seeking to shed light on the finer aspects of what it means to walk like a Wise One. Tune in for the full riff, and be blessed to know that you are deeply valued and loved, right here and now. The divine Feminine is rising and creating, expanding us into a new realm of what is possible for our lives in this reality. I am joined by Malyssa Harelson, kundalini guide, artist, and divine feminine priestess, who free riffs with me on the experiences we have had recently that point to the shift in energy that brings us further into embodying the divine feminine paradigm. We are noticing the changes in the ways we create, the energy that we allow ourselves to create from, and how we approach the sacredness of creating. We get into what it means to create sustainably, rather than out of scarcity or pressure narratives. We talk about ancient feminine practices that are becoming more and more a part of the channeled reality that many of us continue to work towards establishing in our lives, families and communities. Malyssa goes deep into the need to tend ourselves, as space holders and facilitators, to help us replenish and nourish ourselves. The focus on community and connection in this episode is palpable, and we dance and weave together in a way that honors deep love and connection. Overall, we reflect on the question of what it is that we intend to do as we make our way back into the world as embodiments of a new dream. What is the feminine rising in your life? And how does that look and feel? What does it mean to have fun while also honoring your unique essence and your soul's medicine? Join us to spark a deeper conversation on these topics, and be invited to share your own thoughts and musings with me or with other sacred space holders in your life. This week's episode is a sacred co-creation with a beautiful embodied essence that I value and cherish deeply. Her name is Param Akasha Kaur, wisdom holder of the Rose lineage, Divine Feminine priestess, artist and photographer, and guide for kundalini experiences. She joins me to talk openly about the vulnerability of capturing a soul's essence through visual art, and what it has meant to her to open herself fully to the experience of being both in front of the lens as the subject, as well as the artist behind the lens. We get into the wounded feminine that carries through a first family lineage, and what it means to move through those challenges in a soul-led, truthful and honoring way. She brings us into her creative process, and what it means to be in a feminine vibration when creating for a masculine dominant society. Together, we honor the change we wish to see in the world, and how to invite the feminine voice and inner artist forward in order to create a higher order, and work with a healing set of processes that feel like deep truth. She walks us through the virtues of kundalini yoga and opens our minds to the experience that kundalini can create through our own embodied awareness and intention. She guides us gently, strongly, and with so much love as she walks us through her wisdom journey. We hear of a soul-led legacy that honors the divine mind-heart and leaves us with a gentle imprint of what it means to be Spirit in matter. What is the new dream resting on the foundations of your true desires? This last bit of time has been a deep process of new experiences. It is where the end of one paradigm of self meets the new and gracefully gives way. It is home to both the witness and the dreamer. It is the time of the season in our lives where we can lay the foundations for the experiences that resonate with our deepest innermost desires for the lives we which to have, and the embodied essence we wish to resonate as we experience this life. The most beautiful part of knowing we are ready for a new dream is the affirmation we receive from ourselves as we meet old experiences with new medicine. In this way, the old becomes new, and we move through the tests that seek to help us know that we are ready to bring it’ll what we truly want and desire. So, what is coming through right now? Though it might feel familiar, we are within the energy of moving through old stories and situations--what I am calling test energy--in new ways that come from our efforts to heal and grow and evolve. This is the foundation for the new dream. If you find yourself thinking "what if this is as good as it gets? Can it really get any better?" I am here to tell you that it can, and it will. When we take the time to root into our attentively and intentionally laid foundations for the dream we which to live into in this reality, we begin to attract and build upon those foundational imprints. And the foundations sink us deeper into our own medicinal. We are the sacred temples being built internally before we then build these externally in the world. I offer a meditation that can be used as a visualization and channeling of the soul voice, and can also be used further as a set of journaling prompts to get you into the essence of your new dream. It is a sacred space, and it has much to be revealed, slowly, over time. Be blessed in this process. And be blessed in who you are throughout. On a solo jam this week, I am taking us deep into our connection with the Earth, and the palpable shifts many of us are feeling through the Earth energy we are gifted with and experiencing this season. Working with Spirit of Place is a deeply shamanic concept, and it is one that can apply to all beings. It is certainly honored by other life of the natural world. For humans, working with Spirit of Place roots into the lifestyle and sacred commitment of the Earthkeeper. An Earthkeeper is an embodied Spirit (human) who takes and renews the sacred commitment daily to hold a vision and take action towards a life of purity that harmonizes and honors the Earth as a sovereign, abundant, blessed being and giver of All Life. When we connect with the Spirit of Place that we find ourselves living within, we honor our own Earth essences and relationship to the Great Mother in a deeper, more guided and connected way. I am using my own sabbatical to the desert of the southwest to speak of connection and catalyzation that can come from working with the sacredness of Spirit of Place. So many of us are sitting on the edge of big, glorious change. A ledge that is asking us "What is the dream? And can you feel it for yourself?" This episode is hopefully here to help you move with these questions and get the downloads and guidance you need in order to fulfill yourself as a sacred medicinal essence who is here to bring something beautiful to manifest. There is deep in the bones stuff resonating and taking place right now. Let this fill you up with affirmation and touch you into your body and your own roots for a sacred fulfilled life. How we are living counts now more than ever. What we are orienting ourselves towards and committing to stretch into is arriving for us to fill up with. Let the old drain away. Let the new take root, and let us consciously begin to lay the foundations for honoring the rest of our lives. Be guided to connect with Spirit of Place for your own Earth medicine to be actualized. Our sacred sojourn through the Earth plane is now. May we honor it as Earthkeepers who carry the blessing of Spirit of Place. A'ho. Thank you for being here with me. With love and many Blessings, Kristi

I am excited to bring you this week's episode because I have wanted to create a discussion for so long, but it just wasn't the right time. And now it is! So this week, we are getting into honoring your sacred space. This is often called boundary work, and I am offering the practice of boundaries as medicine. Instead of using this common term, I am seeking to frame this practice as a way to honor your sacred space as well as yourself as sacred. This is a process of unlayering and retrieving the values with which we desire to align ourselves, and it can start with the question "what do I hold as deeply valuable, nourishing, sustaining, sustainable, and medicinal?" From there, we go on a deeper journey into the spirit of who we are and what we want to stand in as a being of truth. When we learn to assert the honoring of our sacred space, we are saying "this is how I reveal my sacredness to the world, and this is how I wish to be honored as I reveal myself." In short, this practice is a medicinal and healing way to teach others the ways we wish to be treated. This is a really wisdom-wealthy episode, so I would encourage you to join me here and listen with fresh ears, and see these ideas with fresh eyes, and an open heart, while also paying attention to the body response. I hope you will come away with some impactful aha moments, and some new knowledge to take into your practice of honoring yourself, others, and your sacred space within and externally. So glad you are here. Love, Kristi

With this episode, I have had a dream come true! My guest this month is a woman I have admired, tuned into, and have received guidance from through her voice. Her name is Katie B., she is the host of the Real Rebel Podcast, and she is joining me for this week's sacred wisdom jam. This episode is a beautiful snapshot of the human experience, covering all things from growing up as an outsider, being ridiculed for being "different", and the subsequent difficulties of individuation later in life. We cover feeling unheard (even when there is a huge audience listening!) and the low self-worth that can slip in some poisonous narratives when it comes to using our voice. Katie tells us her story. From having a deeply broken heart in Bali, to capturing her voice in new ways in order to create the podcast she always dreamed of doing, her stories of survival, overcoming and becoming are ones that resonate deeply. She is a beacon of light, a ray of sunshine, a true human, allowing her soul to land in her body where it can run the show. And we hear and witness all of that on this episode of the show. To end, we do a card pull and reading for each other, and what comes through resonates! The experience was genuine, and I was blessed to be joined by her, and I would encourage you to spend the next hour or so joining us, as well. You will be so glad you did. And maybe, just maybe, between all the words, resonance, stories, and authenticity of two humans coming together to weave wisdom and experiences, you will feel your soul land. May it be so. A'ho. This week, I am bringing in some recurring questions that have come up in my work with students, in conversation with friends, and have just been on replay in my own awareness. How can we talk about spirituality in a mainstream way? How do I know when it's fear or when it's intuition speaking? How can I know if a boundary is being used for manipulation and when its actually asserted out of self-honoring? We are going deep to retrieve the answers to all three of these this week. I am using stories and examples from my own life to help land the wisdom I am offering on these, because they are not easy to answer! And yet, they are so important for our evolutionary understanding. They all have one very strong theme when it comes to answering them. Want to know what that is? Then I will see you here with me in this sacred jam. So blessed to have you. Love, Kristi

This episode is about the ways we embody the deeply divine feminine aspects of nourishment and creation. Have you ever wondered why you love to create beautiful things and share them with others? Or maybe why it lights you up so much to craft a beautiful meal and share it with people you love? Why is it so rewarding to bring people together and nourish them in an uplifting environment? These are all energies of the mother archetype that naturally can express through us, no matter how we identify in gender. The mother archetype is part of the creative force that we use to bring forth our most passionate and light filled creations into the world. These can be our work and our art, physical children, or ways we nourish others and use ourselves as a life giving force to serve others. Manifesting in its shadow aspect, the qualities of the mother archetype can lead us to burnout. They can lead us to over giving, blending our experience to create total enmeshment with others, and forgetting the sacred boundaries that honor our medicinal essence. Whether we are working with this energy consciously or subconsciously (or both!), we are still in the act of creator creating, and what and how we are creating is for us to examine and get clear on. Harnessing the brightest qualities of the mother archetype allows us to flourish, and encourages all life around us to flourish in kind. Join me this week for a solo jam to learn about the creative and nourishing essence of the mother archetypal energy, and let it be revealed to you where you walking in light with this energy, and where you might turn your attention to the realm of shadow to free this energy from entanglements that do not serve. So much love and blessings to you. Thank you for being here. ~Kristi

What is rebirth, actually? What does it mean to be a fully grown human and be reborn? How does that look and feel on different parts of the human journey? If these are questions you like to ponder, or are curious about them, you are (hopefully) going to feel some downloads come through during this episode! If you are feeling a more subtle set of energies in your own body, and in your heart, and within external exchanges and are wondering what this means, you will be very affirmed when you tune into this episode. If you are someone who has identified with big, overt and extremely palpable energies and are now experiencing or looking to experience more subtlety, you will be at home here. This week, I am offering guidance on how to tune into the subtler energies of being born anew. So often, we think that our rebirth has to conclude a series of huge changes, massive transformation, and intensive transmutation. And often, this is the case. This week, though, we are going into the power of what subtle energy brings to the rebirth process. In fact, subtle energy rebirths us anytime we take the intention to tap into it by just allowing ourselves to be. No pressure, no to-do list running in the back of our minds, no story that we have to do more. Just ourselves and our essence, vibrating fully in the present. The ability to hear our souls, meet our divinity, and resonate our highest medicinal frequencies come from the ability to tune in to the subtle messages that connect us to our great and beautiful power and to love. I am offering this week's jam with the intention to guide you into a subtler version of yourself and your life, and to encourage you to give yourself permission to just BE. And tune in. And feel that heartbeat that is yours as it syncs up with the greater heartbeat of all life. I hope its a beautiful experience to be here, both overtly and subtly.
Love and blessings, Kristi

Welcome to the show! I am on a solo jam today, talking about what it can mean to experience struggle and surrender, and where we can find the medicine in both. I am doing things a little differently today: I am taking a three parted intention to first discuss a challenge, then tell stories about how this challenge can look and feel using personal narrative, and then I am offering medicine to help move through the challenge. Today, I am presenting the challenge of the struggle--those times when we feel so myopically focused on something that we get a sort of tunnel vision that blocks the rest of life. I use the word "obsessed" to mean that energy that completely sucks all of our cognitive, emotional, physical and spiritual energy into one desire. We have been so trained to hustle hard and focus on our dreams that we forget to take the pedal off of the metaphorical vehicle we are driving so intensely towards whatever it is that we want. I give several examples of times in my life where I repeat the pattern of myopically focusing and struggling to get the desired outcome. The medicine, I offer, is that we must learn to step away for a moment. Learn to play and find joy in other things in life. Bring a freshness and a more wide angle lens to life again. And many of us may be finding ourselves in this position right now, I know I certainly feel this very much calling me right now. Maybe it is time to stop hustling and starting trusting. To walk away to go play and let the desire and dream have its alone time. When we are ready, that surrender energy will sweep us right into the flow of our desired result, and we will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly, beautifully and readily it takes its form. A'ho. Blessings to you as you move through struggle and into surrender. Much love, Kristi

This week on the show, we are getting a little silly and bringing a bit of humor to the conversation! This is much needed for me, as sometimes it almost feels like I have forgotten how to have fun! So my deep hope is that you will be able to laugh along with me and our guest for this week, Dr. Daniel Domoloczny. Daniel is an acupuncturist, a Chinese Medicine practitioner, a breathwork and meditation coach, and a teacher of Shamanism. In our talk, Daniel takes us on his personal journey of the discovery of the practices that have led to his own awakening and transformation. He shares the wisdom he has learned by continuing to show up as a teacher and student, and what the long-term outcomes of devotion and acceptance can be. And, he brings it all together by noting the intersections of life as the transitional gateways to who we become.
As always, the hope for these guest episodes is that you feel like you are sitting in the room with us, engaging in our conversation and feeling stimulated by what is being shared. We are so pleased and joyful to have you!

Hello and welcome! This week, I am riffing on the archetypal energy of the Destroyer and how this energy mirrors the creative and destructive power of the Earth and all life on Earth. The destroyer archetype comes up when life becomes severe in some or many ways. I am using the analogies of three different natural disasters (Earth's destructive forces), and tying them to the ways that we, as humans, also use the forces of destruction in our lives. I talk about how space is created from endings, how best to prepare for filling that space after an ending, I offer ways to work with the shadow and the subconscious to reduce the amount of times we hit emotional overload that leads to a deep under-the-surface rupture. I also get into how to harness the power of destruction in a conscious way so that we can break apart containers, agreements, and patterning that are no longer of service to our growth or life path. I am also introducing some ways that the destroyer can be housed in the shadowy places of our subconscious to sabotage life-force and opportunity that is healthy for us. Join me for an empowering jam on integrating endings, transitions, changes, and transformations. I hope it is vivid, helpful, and resonating for your journey with change energy. A'ho!

Welcome to a solo jam where I am using metaphorical imagery to bring us into awareness of our spacious spirit nature! Imagine yourself on the rim of a canyon looking down. What do you feel? What do you see? In this episode, I am guiding you through the canyon of your life and essence to introduce you into the descent into the underworld of self. We are journeying into the canyon as a metaphor for the wide and spacious beings we are, stopping to reckon with and re-member parts of ourselves along the way. At the bottom, we reach the river of our life force, and we are confronted with what that river looks like--is it flowing freely and clearly? Are there boulders blocking its path? Is there poison in the water? How do we wish to allow our life force to flow into the future? And once we have established a relationship with our unique essence of life-force, or our soul intentions and plans, are we ready to be tested on it and our embodiment of what we say we are and can do as we make our ascent back up the canyon? The universe will always send us tests to make sure we are ready for what we say we want, and that is the journey we take when we have made changes and integrations and are ready to call forth something new. I am so happy and honored to be your guide on this riff, and I deeply appreciate you making this journey with me. I hope it is helpful, resonating and deeply nourishing. A'ho

Welcome to the second half of my beautiful conversation with astrologer Carrie Gane! In this episode, we are diving into her origin story and the path that led her to where she is now. She takes us through her personal account of struggle, and eventually finding the light of right relationship on her path. We weave many different motifs and bits of the human experience within our dialogue as we navigate the shared human experience of the dark night of the soul. There is plenty of room for discussion on topics like patriarchy, the collective transition and restructure we are riding through right now, and the ways we can show up to make the most of our time here on Earth. Carrie does a beautiful job of weaving her astrological wisdom throughout our exchange, and she lets us know that we are supported, now and always, by other bodies, other containers of energy, that come into our field to dance with ours.

She takes us through the foundations of five areas in a natal chart that she will go deeper into during the program, and previews the astrological blueprint being offered through these five important areas when we are seeking to understand the planetary influence on our embodied human experience. She introduces us to these areas as being the Sun, Moon, North and South Nodes, the Ascendant and Chiron. She also free riffs on the astrological forecast for the day we recorded, February 12, 2021. She goes into the celestial wisdom for the day the show is being released on February 22, 2021 as well. As you listen, be encouraged to explore thoughts, feelings and body sensations that may arise as you tune into the astrological weather for these days. This week on the show, I am talking about the seat of our power as a truest essence and the medicine we carry in to be created in this lifetime. We are inherently powerful beings. And, we have to reckon with who we think we are, and who we truly are in order to know and stand in our true and full power. Our reckoning is the gateway that takes us through the shadowlands of what has been giving us what I call the "roiling belly" feeling, which is the threat of being divided from our power. When we feel like other entities or beings are trying to take our power from us, this feeling becomes activated as a bodily (somatic) response. The reckoning comes when we being to ask discerning questions like: Where have we been leaking our power or outsourcing it to other places or beings? Under what falsities and narratives is our power buried within us? The truth about our true nature is that we cannot be divided from our power. It is ours to reckon with, retrieve, reclaim, re-member and restore on our journey of wholeness within the human experience. When we see ourselves as holy and sacred, and we intend to see that in every moment we are alive, we are honoring ourselves, our medicine, and our power in the highest way. We are delivered to the truth, and then to the reality that our essence of being, our medicine, our unique qualities are our power and that is our Promised Land. It is our queendom or kingdom. And as we move towards the promised land that we carry within, we can begin to see ourselves in others who are also going through the process of reckoning and reclamation. We no longer feel threatened by the experience of others once we have moved through our own reckoning and retrieval process. We recognize our experiences in those of others, and we do not need to feel threatened by them, because we know now that our roots lie deep within the soil of the promised land--our personal power and fullest expression. Join me for this sacred jam on journeying through the dances of reckoning and retrieval and deep into the beauty of the promised land of our personal power. A'ho

This week's episode is a two parted riff on belonging to your mission because it is blessed by Spirit, and what to do when external forces try to divide you from your mission and its blessing. We start off by getting back into our bodies and allowing the words "your mission is blessed by Spirit" to wash over us. What does your body want you to know? How does your heart respond? We are all looking for the mission that lights us up and feels like YES. This comes through different ways of accessing and reintegrating with all parts of us. And we will receive signs and affirmations from the universe, both large and small, to let us know that we are on the right path. And this is important for when the times come when the external world tries to shame us out of and divide us from our mission. I give three examples of when this happens that provoke big waves in a storm that threatens to unmoor us from our spirit blessed mission. These are so common to the human experience, and each of us faces these, no matter what our path looks like. After each example, I give encouragement and ways to get out of the storm of shame and challenging emotion to step into deeper rooted strength, stronger discernment, and greater courage. Because the reality is that when we start stepping out with our mission, and we put it out for more of the world to see, we will get critics. We will get people who, though they are also spiritual beings, have forgotten who they truly are and will use tools of separation to try to divide us from our spirit blessed mission instead. And to navigate these experiences, our commitment has to be that we will continue to walk our evolutionary path that keeps us working on refining our boundaries and our discernment, and will show us the way to stand tall in who and what we are in this world. And to not lose the roots of our spirit-selves and the blessings we carry from Spirit for our mission in this lifetime. A'ho

In this episode, I am sharing wisdom about the Celtic Light Festival of Imbolic, the first festival in the wheel of the year. This festival honors the middle of the season--the transitional time between winter and spring when the days are beginning to get longer and we are seeing the first rays of longer light. This is the festival that honors the goddess Brigid. She is a triple goddess that assist with the gifts of Smithing, Healing and Poetry. She also is the holder of a sacred flame. The flame is representation of two things, both of which are also integral for this Light Festival, and they are the home hearth and the flame of creativity. The Celts made no distinction between the two because one was inextricable in its representation of the other. When the home hearth is not tending, it goes out. Darkness ensues. Coldness dominates. So it is with our flame of creativity; if we do not tend it, we also become cold, lost in the dark, and feeling without the warmth of purpose and imagination. We want to reconnect, rekindle, and re stoke up those fires that are so important for sustaining a healthy life force. I also include some suggestions on how to celebrate this sacred three day festival by reconnecting with our fire element within ourselves, in the energy and in the body. Many blessings to you as you honor this Celtic festival of light! Awen. This week is a solo jam on a sticky topic for a lot of us; one that feels very collective as well as deeply personal. Belonging. Validation. What are these things? What do they look like when they are in their light qualities? What does it mean to truly belong? These are the deep questions that I am riffing on through the lens of my own experience as I walk a shamanic path for my life. I'm discussing this within two different realities: one is the very real experience of being socially isolated due to our technological culture (everyone constantly looking at their phones) coupled with the required isolation brought by the pandemic. Then, there are the deeply entrenched emotional beliefs about belonging, which also create our realities. And I have recently uncovered a very pervasive, poisonous set of beliefs that I carry about my own ability to belong. I walk through my reckoning with belonging and how I am traveling towards the road of liberation in belonging to myself. I also include validation and how it is a required biological need for humans to be validated by other humans. It is also required of us to be able to validate ourselves in order to stay out of enmeshment and identity loss through codependency (and the ways we lose identity by outsourcing our validation power and abilities to meet our own needs for validation). learning to belong to ourselves fully and be fully able to validate our own experience is a retrieval process that requires us to continue to walk into the wilderness and move towards our hearts + spirits. It can feel isolating, it can feel like losing touch with what once was, it can affirm our worst fears about loneliness. Especially when we start ramping up on our spiritual quest for our original medicine and wisdom: it is an untethered and untraveled path. This removal of poisonous beliefs about myself and my belonging is the next quest on my journey that I am currently moving through. What I know for sure right now is this: I belong. You belong. Wherever we are, on whatever journey we take, we belong. A'ho

In this beautiful episode, I am joined by Rebecca Anne, researcher and re-memberer of the Divine Feminine, for a deep dive exploration of re-claiming and re-membering our sovereignty. Rebecca is a researcher and academic, and she is a deeply spiritual, wise and sacred woman. Her work is centered on the transitional period between childhood and adulthood--that sticky phase we name adolescence. Our exchange takes us on a dance with religious constructs (particularly those rooted in particular denominations of Christianity), the challenges of the distorted masculine, and brings us into a space of reckoning, retrieval, and re-membering. She takes us into her own experience of growing up within a first family that held religious views as a way of life and how the young, formative and especially adolescent mind integrates with the strong beliefs of the first family to form perceptions, and often distortions, of the world around. Throughout our conversation, we recognize that our concept of the masculine comes in from many hierarchical structures, and the truth is that we must discover the masculine within ourselves, learn to dance with it in divine union with the feminine, and co-create a deep remembrance of our sovereignty as whole and complete embodied beings of the two. A'ho.

This episode is short and sweet. It’s an acknowledgment of the year that so many of us have had, and it’s a blessing for the inspiration and expansion that is to come. As we wind down into the last few days of 2020, I’m hoping we all take a moment to see and value all the efforts we have made towards our own evolution. Whatever those moments may have looked like, they are ours, and they brought us something important. So here I am, celebrating you and seeing you for all you have done and moved though. This week, we welcome Louise Bichan, a wonderful Scottish fiddle player and photographer from the Orkney Islands, to the show. In this episode, Louise takes us along on her journey, from growing up in Orkney with the music and culture of her true home echoing in her bones and flowing through her blood, to her time in Glasgow and expanding out into the music scene there, to an adventure across Canada on a project to uncover the stories of her matrilineal line that led to the birth of her album "Out of My Own Light. She takes us on a lyrical discovery of who she is, and ultimately, who we all are: Creators creating out of our own light. And her light is certainly one to be experienced. She radiates the essences of true joy, awe, wonder, welcome and expansion, and the ability to trust her journey and let it unfold exactly as she desires it too. The motif and manifestation of true community is strong for her, and it is so inspiring to hear how she has welcomed that and called it into her life, no matter where she found herself along the way. This episode is medicine, reminding us that we are called from our spirits to be joyful, to be open, to be welcoming, to have experiences that please us and feed our curiosity and creativity. She draws us into the stuff we are made of by being that sacred mirror for us, and by lending her voice and her energy to help us re-member what it means to be in a state of pure openess and joyful receptivity. There is a lot of magic here, and she weaves the human experience together so beautifully, that one can feel such a creative surge at the end. And that is where we want to be, friends. Re-birthing, co-creating, experiencing out of our own light. On the sacred day of the Winter Solstice where light is being reborn, coming into our joy and our creative desire to unfold the life we so desire, we too, can rebirth into light. Awen. The Shaman's Death is more than a topic for this week's show, it has been the reality I and many others have been living over the last 13 lunar cycles of the year 2020. The shaman's death is an initiatory process, a rite of passage, that brings us from one form of existence and shapes us into a completely new one. In our process of dismemberment, we become the shapeshifter, and in this episode, I am taking you through what it means to die the shaman's death. The Shaman's Death is the experience in life when one moves through a loss or a change so profound, that they wonder if they will ever be able to come back from it. Here, in the dismemberment of life, or an annihilation as it may feel, is the death passage to becoming more of who we truly are. I have written about change before, as change is thoroughly a part of our human existence, whether one decides to honor a shamanic way of living or not. When the crash down, removal, dismemberment, dismantling comes, the cracking open to the voice that chants and the drum that sings is what merges the shaman's death into rebirth with the total psychic, physical, emotional and energetic breakdown that comes with this total change of life as we knew it. Transcending the wounds we carry creates the doorway to the New Life that we so deeply want and desire. That our soul is ready to create. Even when we don't know exactly what we want, or think we do know, we probably don't. Not when the voices of the past are carrying on our conversations and exchanges for us. It was surprising (and not!) to me how much of my life had been created by a voice that was not my own. I had mistakenly believed it was. Until now, it had been a combination of ego, inheritance, and somewhere in there, the voice of Soul. What I have inherited, though, is not a curse. My ancestral line and lineage is a great blessing to me because it has showed me the areas of life where I experience limitation, where we in my bloodline have experienced it for generations, connecting all of us as we move through our epoch of time on Earth, and it has shown me how I can heal it. Love and honoring, and surrender to death. That is the way. That is the way of the Shaman. The light heals, and one can Know the Light through a great and mighty death process. Surrender to death, and death with surrender you to rebirth back into the light. A'ho. I am including a riff that was recorded from my car a year ago about my experience during a shamanic breathwork workshop because it also was an important and transformational piece of dying the shamanic death. Thank you for being here and walking this path with me. I honor you in all your death and life processes, with so much love. Amen. Welcome to all of you who are tuning in to the show this week. I am so joyful and glad to have you. This has been quite the year, much has happened, much has been moved through. There is change around every corner and beneath every layer, and I have uncovered SO much of what I didn't even know I was looking for. As we move through this season, I am reclaiming time and space for my vision as it opens up and offers more clarity as I move into a new direction on my path. That means that this show may take a hiatus for a few weeks, or however long it takes for me to understand how this will look and feel for me going forward. I am giving myself permission to take space, rest, redesign, and allow for the new to come through fully. And I would highly encourage you to give yourself permission to do whatever feels like it is calling for you. I am here to jam on a bit about what I am experiencing right now, contextualized with how I offer myself to this platform and to the world at large. I am taking you through my thoughts that are guided by my heart and body as I share them. And I will take us through a meditation to help us connect with some very powerful places in our body (the basin/pelvis, the sacral area at the base of the spine, the shoulders, and the head) that are often held tight with layers of emotions and experiences that keep them squeezed up and without extra room for any spaciousness. The intention of this meditation is to feel into these places and acknowledge them for what they are and all they do, and to offer them the ability to release what they are holding and carrying so that it may be processed by our consciousness and released from our Beings for good. While the show takes a pause (if it does!), please go through and find other episodes that may resonate for you. There is a lot here! And there are lots of other ways to connect with me and my work in the meantime, so be welcome and encouraged to do that as well. Thank you for being here. I am so very deeply grateful. Our time together takes us deep into the origins of our human existence, beginning with our first families and the patterns, beliefs, and teachings that we receive from it to navigate our world. We get into the richness of what happens when we move from survival strategies and enmeshment to initiation into individuation. This includes the healing journey of sourcing anything from the external (think perfectionism, being "the good girl", constantly high achieving, wanting to be "cool" and "chill"). We recognize that much of the fears that we may operate under are inherited, and we are invited, at the latest during a big painful ending (or rupture, as she aptly describes them) to examine and investigate how we got here, and how we wish to create our lives so that we do not need to revisit this place again. Big painful endings are, in fact, initiations, and they have the power to break us open to our truth. Through a process of moving into deep trust from within, we can find our way into liberated love, both for self, and for others. Ruminate with us in all the joy that comes from sharing and exchanging. There is SO much. Show Notes: Find Kylie on Instagram @beingisbeautiful or on her website www.kyliemcbeath.com. This week on the pod, we are covering the poem that I wrote about the commitment and devotion to the Wild Path. The Wild Path is the one chosen by your unique voice, your soul self, who is ready to take the lead to guide you through and on, beyond all limitations and fears, and bring you Home to the truth of your life in this incarnation. This episode is going to be wisdom with a touch of literary analysis to pull forward the archetypal wisdom and patterns that I have woven into the writing piece. After we dive into what is there for us, we will move into the segment where I will offer you affirmation, and sparks for meditation and and journaling on the seeds we are planting when it comes to love, service, compassion, devotion and commitment to these. This episode is intended to help set up you for this next season of the journey, where we deepen our agreements with our Self to be present and allowing the experiences of awe, wonder, love, joy and gratitude to fill our earthly time. During the holiday season, it is easy to get swept up into other energies, and in this episode, I am intending to assist you in maintaining your own space, continuing to open to your own unique voice, and aligning with the vibration of your souls Destiny and Dharma. May it be blessed. Aho. In this episode, I am welcoming you to a gentle, restorative space of safety and presence with all that is nourishing. There has been a lot of wonky, anxious, and heavy energy swirling around and culminating over the last week, and in this show, I intend to give space to the nourishing, the peaceful, the re-balance as we bring ourselves into a meditation practice to call in deep feelings of self-nourishment. Often, we are pulled away from our nourishment when anxiety and overstimulation hit. It is important for us to re-turn towards our own sense, feeling, and experience of nourishment so that can find safety in the container of our bodies and find release from the looping, circuitous fearful thoughts in our minds. In addition to the deep mediation, I am offering some questions for you to take into a journaling practice, or into further meditation to help you re-connect to and re-member what is nourishing for you, and so that you can realize how you embody nourishment in your life. Welcome to All of You. Be so blessed and welcome to come back to this meditation as many times as you like and need. Stay with the feelings for as long as you can, and welcome them home to be lived within the body. Amen. This episode is all about shadow work and soul work during the season of both the shadows and the soul, Scorpio. This is a deep, deep episode, and one with the great undulating motif of shadow work, the jungian concept that Katherine breaks down for us clearly and with much compassion. We are talking all about Scorpio season and the literal and physical darkness we will enter into with its energy. With it, comes Samhain and the veil being lifted for humanity to step through and begin the cultivation of light into the shadows. By moving from the outer realm and deep into the inner realm, we come to Know the Truth about our Selves and our lives. Scorpio offers the invitation into the deep entanglements of relationship, especially the parts we tend to cover up or handle covertly. So what do we do with all of this darkness and all of these shadows? We may find ourselves asking how we can possibly turn towards something that looks like total darkness. We must gather our courage, and then Surrender. The Law of Transformation will take over from there (Scorpio). With it, the energy of Pluto (Scorpio's ruler) comes the Law of Soul Evolution. Together, they unleash, and unite us with, the power within to free our Selves from the tight, constricting grip of the lower ego and all the things we cannot control. And Instead, harness our True Power of Self to Become the change agent we are meant to Be in this lifetime. From there, we ‘see’ and feel and experience the power, wisdom and True voice of the Soul, and the gifts of these are truly endless--limitless. We are made for More, more than just one thing. Our true purpose is multi-layered, multifaceted, just like we are. The axis of this Scorpio energy is Taurus, the voice of the soul, and the Law of Life Mastery, which helps us to master the wisdom to hear that voice and summon the power to draw forth soul consciousness. This axis occurs at the Full Moon, where the moon will also lend us Her intuitive wisdom. Within this seasons energy is the potential to unite with Spirit, individuated in the Highest Self, and allow it to flow through the personality; to take that connection to Self and bring it to every moment, both mundane and divine, boring and beautiful. And find that unity, that absolute connection to Self and to all Others. The archetype of the veil is one that we use when we talk about making the transition from what is to what will be. We, like a bride, stand ready to remove the covering that keeps us from our future destiny; one that may include big endings, losses, changes and that ask us to move through them as grace agents. On the other side of the veil is also connection to our sacred dreams and desires and re-union with All that we are and will Become. Scorpio energy lends itself heavily to the investigation and journey beyond the veil. What we find there is our brightest light and our most Highest Selves, as well as our deepest depths and shadows of wounding and trauma. Both are necessary to be united in our bodies as we move forward on our journey of Re-membering our Selves Home. Included in the lifting of the veil is the life/death(Death)/rebirth process that always comes when we remove illusion from our lives. To every ending is tied a new beginning, and both take courage and intention to move toward and through. I invite you this sacred jam as I sit with the New Moon energy and prepare to lift my own veil on my life and my sou's purpose. I am so glad and grateful that you are here with me. Welcome to this week's solo jam on Courage, Bravery and Resilience, friends! We are getting deep with these qualities, which the foundations of the embodied Warrior archetype. To help get us into this riff, I am telling (reading) a story that I wrote about my journey with these qualities, and how they came up differently in past phases of my life. Archetypal wisdom is all about listening beneath the surface, connecting story to your own story and truth, and holding yourself open to the striking of resonance that may come from 'hearing' what is being shared. I'll invite you to pay attention to what arises for you as you listen to this episode. We have all embodied courage, bravery and resilience at some point(s) on our journey. We have also embodied anger, either expressed or unexpressed. Anger is another piece of the Warrior, and a whole and healed Warrior expresses clean anger that does not obstruct their vision. Anger that is repressed, or expressed blindly scalds those with whom it comes into contact. And it leaves its mark on relationship, both with self and with others. This is the shadow side of the warrior. I will talk about the Savior archetype and how it relates to the Warrior, as well as the Saboteur as it pokes the unhealed warrior attributes, too. This is a fiery jam, harnessing the wisdom that I have been recently brought to pay attention to that is related to how I have manifested and presented the warrior qualities, both light and shadow, throughout my life. I hope this is an interesting and empowering jam for you. And I hope it spurs you to turn bravely, courageously, and resiliently towards your inner warrior. This week's riff on the Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast is a continued flow of last's weeks, where I was jamming on finding balance in flow. This week, we are getting into finding our balance, returning to center point, when we are relationship with beloved others. At the time this episode is being released, we are about halfway through Libra season of 2020, and many of us are feeling the pull of that energy to align with our own sense of balance through Right Relationship. Through this energy, we can attune to the desire for flow and harmony in the spaces we create in our lives, particular when it comes to energetic exchange with others. We are going to cover the sort of push / pull dynamic of giving and receiving, of desire versus obligation, and for Right Relationship as we evolve on our journeys of Becoming. Our meditation will take us into an intention setting practice where we will be called to witness ourselves within the energetic exchanges we create, and will guide us back to our center point. It's a sacred jam for anyone who is navigating any kind of relationship in their lives right now, including the one to Self. So join me! This weeks episode is all about finding balance in the flow of life. This is such a difficult and deeply needed process of change right now. So many people have been expressing their inability to sustain themselves in the life they once had. That pull, the constant grind, just wasn't or isn't feeling Right anymore, With the worldwide changes this pandemic has brought, most of us have experienced change that has touched every part of our lives. We are being nettled with small d and big D deaths, and most of us are here in some rickety old boat, rocking back and forth, helplessly watching water spill over the sides as the waves rash and rage, while there also may be a slow (or fast) leak letting in more water from the bottom. With all that imbalance, we may even experience the "seasickness" that comes from allowing other things, people, places, etc to control our flow one life. In this state of absolute imbalance, we find ourselves with the realization that this is not working out so well at all for us. asking the question, "How the hell do I make it out of this alive?" Maybe we desire more than just to make it out "alive. Maybe we desire to make it peaceful, make it smoothly, make it balanced and in flow. In this episode, I am here to flow with you, and serve you with a jam on where we may be and the processes and practices that may get us to where we desire to be. In this case, in Right Relationship to balance in flow in our lives. A'ho Love that you are here. Welcome to All of You. Sending you Love and Blessings always. Welcome to this week's episode of the Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast! This week, Mona Luna is joining us to talk about the masks we wear, and how we let them fall.. Mona is an intuitive life coach, and the holder of sacred women's circles. In this episode, she shares her story of Becoming, the unique ways in which her path unfolded, and the masks (false identities) that had to fall away as she moved ever closer to the desires of her heart. We get into deep conversation about breaking out of an old life, into the void of the new. She shares openly about her experience of depression, and the limitations it places on the mind and our beliefs in what is possible for our lives and ourselves. Through the practice of Ashtanga yoga, she tells us how she opened to invite great change to herself and the ways she experienced life. She jams on the struggles of crippling perfectionism and the continual process of moving through those narratives. It's an exchange that is jam packed with sharing, surprises, and celebration! Mona also takes us through our meditation this week with guidance to get us back into our bodies and tap the wisdom of our sensory experiences. Other topics we riff on this week are:
Money Stories and scarcity narratives avoiding the word "should" awakening to our wisdom instead of silencing it reclaiming our power to Know codependency, self betrayal, avoidance patterns shifting into a level "hierarchy" on which every voice matters and has something unique to express

Welcome to the Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast, all you wyse souls who are finding my voice this week! I am your host Kristi Derkacy, and I am so excited + grateful to have you here with me as we riff on resting + water energy. You may be looking for the connection there, and I am going to say this: water as a symbol can represent the emotions, the womb, healing, and the depths of the subconscious. So when we are resting in a watery state, so to speak, we are probably doing some really deep work. There is likely some deep down psychic alchemy taking place, and that is why we feel foggy, or tired. Our energy is being pulled deeper, out of reach of the light of consciousness. Something new is being forged to be rebirthed when the energy resurfaces. Even when we are resting, we are still doing work. And the way we experience this is often within the workings of water energy. Join me for the two part meditation to honor and connect with water energy and ground our energy in the polarity of water, earth energy. We return to steady breath as we float in a healing visualization. Sign up for the lovely + loving newsletter by visiting the Resonance Restorative website
Welcome to this week's solo jam on going where you're guided. Part of the way we walk in an aligned way is by heeding the advice, guidance, and feelings we get from our Higher Selves and the external guides in our lives. These can be people who understand our path and have a solid voice of mentorship for us. They can be spiritual beings, like angels, power animals, or beings from other realms. They can also be plants and earth spirits who wish to share a message with us. This divine, higher guidance is always available to us, and when we learn to open ourselves up to it, we are more easily able to hear exactly what is coming through and form where/whom. Because what we definitely do not want to do is give over the guidance or advice-giving to people who do not understand the path we are on. They cannot support us and validate us in the way we need and desire because they do not know how. Sometimes, these are the relationships that we will be guided to bless and release as we move through and towards a new space and phase of life. Anytime we move towards alignment, we are moving into some discomfort that change will inevitably bring. And that includes endings. I share about times when I experienced guidance, including times when I didn't even realize what I was hearing at the time. I begin the jam by answering the question: how do we know when it our Higher Self/Spirit/Guides speaking to us? I explain how this starts with sensations in the body and recognizing the meaning that each sensation carries when it comes to rightness for our life path. Once we learn to trust our bodies and our internal voices, like our intuition, we can begin to receive the validation and affirmation and the further guidance of beloved others. It is always available and accessible to us, and this episode is intended to offer you the strength in Knowing that you are being divinely and rightly guided on your path now and always. Just listen beyond just using your ears, and you will 'hear' what is being offered to you. In this weeks meditation, we work on calling on our guides to receive a message that is important for us to hear right now. I encourage you to do this several times throughout your week. This week on the Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast, we have the sacred second part of my Original Medicine conversation with Rev. Katherine Bell, spiritual psychologist and teacher. During this part of our dialogue, Katherine goes deep with me on the wisdom that is included in the Faces of WomanSpirit: A Celtic Oracle of Avalaon card deck that she co-created and birthed earlier in her work as a mystic and healer. She pulls a reading for me and channels spiritual guidance for my path. It is a deeply emotional conversation, full of feeling. To receive her guidance was a somatic experience, and you will hear me share vulnerably and with tears as I open up to her about the challenges of my life path. Her words are medicine, a healing balm to me, and surely to the audience. She also gives us the meaning of the word. Wyse, both from Tibetan numerology, as well as from the Hebrew lettering. She relates its meaning to the Divine Feminine and the path of the wyse woman embodied. To wrap up our very blessed and sacred time together, she gives us insight into Virgo season, and speaks about the message of the card of the oracle deck and how to interpret the symbolism as we move into this lunar cycle. Katherine is a wyse woman, in her full power, offering a soft healing medicine to those who are ready to receive it. My experience with her was transformative and energetically restorative and raising. Be welcome to join us in our conversation, and allow her words of wisdom to resonate within your own life. A'ho

This episode of the Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast is blessed with the voice + wisdom of Katherine Bell, spiritual psychologist and teacher. My time with her was spent in deep healing conversation about the path of humanity, and our lives as the Divine embodied. We jam on the series of transformative events that are taking place in our world and our lives as individuals. She speaks about how the changes we see + feel happening are a part of the evolution of soul consciousness on earth; we are in a process of re-membering, of awakening and restoring. She says that we are individuals awakening to our oneness, moving out of the shadows and into service. She encourages us to find our center point, so that we can sway back and forth from this point as we move through the massive shakedown the world and its residents are undergoing. Katherine shares with us her story of becoming and how her unique path has brought her to where she is now. We talk about the reclamation of the Divine Feminine within ourselves and with the Divine Mother. She urges us to continue forward while holding our vision for the world we wish to see and be a part of in the future. Katherine is a mystic. From childhood she was aware of life beyond the physical world. Similar to others born with this ability, she assumed everyone walked between the worlds. In this innocent state, she communicated and received guidance from beings in other realms, such as a great-grandmother who died before Katherine was born (A Celt and Native American). At 19 years old, an event occurred that demonstrated the uniqueness of her innate gifts. This discovery initiated a quest to understand and expand her natural psychic abilities and through them, to know the Divine. Katherine’s lifelong quest to know and serve the Divine introduced her to incredible healers, metaphysical wisdom teachers, and psychics. Through the gradual mastery of her gifts and meditation practice, Katherine encountered and learned from masters of the inner realms. One particularly significant guardian, Malachi, entered her life in 1983. Katherine channels Malachi in service to others. He directed her to pursue specific mystical training, such as Native American Shamanism and Druidism, which served to blend and compliment her ancestry (Cherokee and Celtic). He also led her to Qabalistic studies of the Tree of Life via the mystical school, The Builders of the Adytum. This wisdom forms the foundation of all of her teaching and ultimately inspired her book, BE THE LIVING TREE, From Roots to Fruit You are Divine. In 1994, the Shekinah (Divine Feminine) spoke directly to Katherine, informing her that to deepen her soul’s journey she needed to experience the Divine Feminine as well as God the Father. For nearly five years, Katherine immersed herself in the Shamanic journeys the Shekinah presented. She created and authored THE FACES OF WOMANSPIRIT, The Celtic Oracle of Avalon; a book and divination deck that reveal the mystical wisdom of the Divine Feminine. Once she embarked on the quest to learn and serve, Katherine helped others. Since 1986 she has devoted herself to a full-time schedule of counseling, teaching and healing. She has developed unique materials that incorporate wisdom from her myriad of studies and experiences, all of which are solidly based on spiritual psychology, esoteric philosophy, and Hermetic practices. Katherine earned five doctorate degrees (Metaphysical Sciences, Transpersonal Psychology, Holistic Astrology,Mysticism, and a Doctorate of Divinity), and holds certification in several modes of energy healing, including Reiki, Tibetan Chakra Therapy, and Sound Healing using Tuning forks. She founded and serves as CEO of SPICA- Way of Light. She is the author of the other books and products as well: Show Notes: Find out more about Katherine + her work in this world at www.katherinebell.org Visit resonancerestorative.com for more about Kristi and her offerings + programs
This week on the Wisdom of Wyse Woman podcast, we are diving into an introduction of Celtic Shamanism, hosted by a Wyse Woman on the path of Celtic shamanism. We start by talking about what shamanism is: it is a way of life, a way of relating to the self, the earth, and to others, including plants, animals and people. The call to shamanism is a striking resonance that shows up and then, like a drum beat, grows louder and stronger until it resonates off the bone. That's when you know it has come for you. It is a lifestyle that requires great change. It is a way to the soul self and all of the gifts that the unique soul self has to heal the individual life and the surrounding earth and world. Indigenous cultures and tribes around the world have a shaman, who is responsible for upholding the connection between Spirit and the community, and this comes through many healing traditions, practices and ceremonies performed by the shaman. In this episode, we speak about lineage, ancestral karma and how it works with our current physical reality. We get into the tools and practices used by people on the shamanic path, such as the drum which is a reverberation of the human heart as well as the heart of the universe that calls to our oneness with plants, animals, earth and other humans. The drum can be used in many rituals, ceremonies, including the shamanic journey. The shamanic journey is performed to retrieve and gain insight, advice and guidance from the spiritual realms from plant, animal and other spirit guides. This is done by using the drum at a certain rhythm to travel to these other realms through an altered state of consciousness. The three worlds of the shaman are the Upper World, the Lower World, and the Middle World, and these can be accessed through journey work, where the spirit guides of the realm can be interacted with. Healing modalities used by the shamanic practitioner include working with energy, herbs, and with nature, among many other things. Celtic shamanism holds the sacred practice of Tree Medicine, which involves working with the healing wisdom and protection of the trees. Celtic Shamanism also holds sacred the working with the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine in the form of the gods and goddess of the ancient Celtic pantheon. We discuss the sacred animals of the ancient Celts, that are both symbols as well as actual animals that were native to the landcape of the native Celtic tribes, including the salmon, the bear, the stag, the raven and the hawk. To wrap up this jam time, I discuss my path of the shamanic life so far, how I was called and how I am working with the calling. We come full circle when I share that this path, including my path, is a lifelong study and practice that broadens and deepens with every cycle of life. Join me for a Mountain and Wind meditation, where we merge our selves with the strong tallness of the mountain, and the creative, cleansing force of the wind to hear our soul voices. We ask "What do I need to know right now", and we invite the voice of our souls to speak to us in the quiet moments where we are merged with the powerful energies of two features of nature. We move into a pranayama (breathing) practice where I use the drum to count and encourage the inhalation and exhalation. We end the episode with blessings and encouragement for your week! When the Moon starts to wax and grow, so do we. We have shaped and crafted our intentions during the New Moon, and now we rebirth ourselves into these intentions. All of the introspection and work we’ve done during our time of rest has prepared us to rebirth with a plan of action that aligns with our intentions. These phases of the moon, Crescent, First Quarter, and Gibbous, are the maiden archetype. She is curious, fresh, able, and excited and willing to shape her life to suit her desires. That’s the energy of the waxing moon. “What do I want to see come to fruition?” is the question we work with during the waxing moon. The answers are what are revealed at the Full Moon, and if we have honored our intentions created at the Dark Moon, we’ve begun a deeply co-creative life in tune with the Moon. The crescent moon, that first sliver, is our first glimpse of energy. This is the initiation phase. Our direction for this lunar cycle is becoming clear, and we can make the first invigorating step towards it. We are alive with Hope, and our visionary dreams and visualizations are powerful and strong as our guiding force. At the first quarter moon phase, we may meet some resistance and challenges as we boldly step towards creating our desires. Meeting these challenges is part of living in tune with natural energetic flow and rhythm. Remain grounded in intentions, keep the focus on outcomes, not on issues. This helps the flow of the manifestation and creative processes remain clear and uninterrupted. It’s a beautiful time to be assertive, with your desired outcomes clearly in mind and heart, so that you can speak to challenging situations with love, using your unique voice. Keep going! This is where the action really starts picking up, and your motivation to see your intentions form your dreams to actualize is so strong. Stay with it and keep doing what feels aligned. When the moon enters the gibbous phase, just before it becomes full, that is when we are playing to our full strengths and really using our unique resonance to accomplish projects. The momentum has been built up and is going to reach its pinnacle at the Full Moon, so it is a wonderful time to check in and be assured that you’re on the right path, feeling aligned, and feeling in free flow. A lot has usually begun to happen, and as long as it feels like it is in Right Relationship to us, then don’t worry what it looks like. Things will shift and change as we continue to build our dreams, desires and intentions. If things need adjustment, we can use this time to make refinements to the process and/or creation. Refinement is necessary and totally natural! We are able to be a student of our own selves and personal world when we are asked to refine in order to align. The efforts are well worth it once we reach the celebration of the full moon. The latter part of this episode includes a Waxing Moon meditation and a set of questions to spark a journaling practice. I encourage you to use these pieces to build ceremony around this energy in your life. Lunar blessings to you! May your curiosity lead you home to your Wild nature and your wild woman. The New Moon is a sacred time because it marks the complete shed of old identities and stories. It is also a powerful time for connection to Spirit and to Self. Our intuition is heightened at this phase, so we are able to tap it for direction to form new intentions for the future. We can feel safe to sit in stillness and let ourselves and the next steps on our path be revealed to us. The zodiacal sign that the Moon and Sun are in at this time exert a powerful energy as well that can be harnessed to shape our next steps and rebirth. Because we are deep within and spending time with who we are and who we want to become, a packed calendar is not advisable at this time. This is the unplug and re-center. A time to rest and spend time doing restorative things. This can be journaling, meditation, resting, calling on guides and angels for support, reading, relaxing, taking a bath. Whatever helps you reconnect to you and your Self and your path. Rest is so important because it is a process of allowing ourselves to be as we are, even when there is no action around us. The stimulation comes from within, and we are becoming wiser through integration and embodiment. At the New Moon, you can use ceremony to make sacred what you are processing. You can burn old intentions that are no longer aligned, or have been fulfilled, you can pull a card reading for direction on the new lunar cycle, you can sit quietly with the beloved other or others and reflect on your journey. We are restoring and remembering ourselves at this time. Archetypally, this is the crone phase, symbolizing wisdom of moving through life and preparation for death of the old self. The latter part of this episode includes a New Moon meditation and a set of questions to spark a journaling practice. I encourage you to use these pieces to build ceremony around this energy in your life. We will also being jamming on women’s Rites, and I will be exploring and unpacking the ancient ways to honor the natural feminine cycle as she runs her course every lunar month. The New Moon is the shedding phase, and as our bodies shed, we can be aware of any psychological baggage that we wish to shed with it. That is the power of harnessing the death and release phase of our cycle. As we rest and release, our bodies are also preparing for rebirth, which will happen under the first light of the waxing maiden Moon. I speak on wyse ways to honor your self as a woman, and I encourage you to reclaim your feminine power in all things. That is what being a wyse woman is all about. New Moon blessings to you! May your curiosity lead you home to your Wild nature and your wild woman. This week on the podcast, I had the tremendous opportunity to talk with Cindra Reyba, founder of Stillwaters Ministries. Cindra’s organization is being built (literally! They are in the building phase) on the intention of providing housing, safety, and re-construction of the self to women who have lived in patterns of domestic abuse. Cindra shares her own story of the pain she endured in an abusive marriage, and we get into the many layered facets that cover and surround the actions of abuse in relationship. She introduces us to her life’s mission—to build a respite for women to reconstruct their lives and find peace and self-worth after experiencing belittlement and suffering. This episode is a complete invitation to sit with discomfort and be willing to witness. And that is so needed, now especially. Cindra is a wise, strong and powerful woman whose voice and story resonate strongly with me, and I hope, with you too. Because this is a deeply uncomfortable topic, I offer a meditation to get us back into our bodies before wrapping up the show. So glad to have you here with us, you brave, loving human. Have a beautiful week. Love from your host, Kristi Derkacy. Show Notes: Stillwaters Ministries on Instagram: @stillwatersministries.fl on Facebook: Stillwaters Ministries. Cindra mentions the book “Codependent No More” by Melody Beattie. She mentions a talk she heard in person by Dale Carnegie. The last three phases we see before the Moon disappears are the Disseminating phase, the Last Quarter, and the Balsamic phase. During the disseminating phase, the light is still strong and almost full, and we are riding our high from the celebration, fruition + excitement of the Full Moon, feeling in our full energy + power. As the Moon wanes, the gratitude for the powerful, expansive experienced comes flooding in. We are still enthusiastic, and welcoming all that our big experiences are showing us and teaching us. We are actively sharing with others. We are excited about the blocks we have been able to bust through at the Full Moon, and new knowledge is ready to be harvested and brought within for integration. And we can easily tap our gratitude for the significant others on our journeys and have an easier time expressing this by the use of our unique voices. Expression is still strong at this time. As the Moon becomes its last quarter, we can focus on releasing anything that no longer serves, and also assuring detachment from all of our experiences. They have happened, and now we are moving towards integration. As we work through celebrating, now in a quiet way with ourselves, how beautiful our lives are and can be, patterns and beliefs that once may have held us back may try to resurface, but as we move towards the New Moon, we can dig in to do the introspective, deep work around releasing them for good. As the Moon reaches its Balsamic phase, we are inward, acknowledging our decline of energy and socialization as we dig into our introspective process. Disconnecting or connecting less with the external world is natural at this time. This is the time for you. You are reconnecting to yourself, regrouping your energy after being out/outward so much, and tapping into the integration that is happening to alchemize knowledge into embodied wisdom. This can be a fruitful time for creativity. Resting and just allowing is also so important during this phase. No more pushing, and certainly no full agendas. It’s quiet time. The latter part of this episode includes a waning Moon meditation and a set of questions to spark a journaling practice. I encourage you to use these pieces to build ceremony around this energy in your life. Lunar blessings to you! May your curiosity lead you home to your Wild nature and your wild woman. The cycles of the Moon Teach us about the phases of life: life, death, rebirth; growing, evolving, becoming, Revision. The full moon can also really illuminate the parts of your life that are really working, that are expensive moving and are on purpose. Its the time of NOW and You Can Do It! Be out in the world shining your light and creating a strong resonance! That’s what it means to be fully illuminated, just like the Moon. It’s a big robust beautiful energy and depending on where it is in the sky the energy of the stars surrounding it can impact the energy as well. Track your cycle, notice how your body feels as we approach the full moon. Write down how your energy feels and how your body feels. What kind of desires do you have? What do you want to be doing around that time? What feels good and honoring? Archetypally, this is the phase of the mother we are pregnant with robust life and energy and ideas and aspirations are being birth through our engagement with the world. What we have been cultivating and taking action towards over the waxing phases are now coming to light and fruition as the pinnacle of energy emerges and illuminates. In this very special guest episode of Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast, I have astrologer and teacher Kelsey Rose with me to talk about the extreme times we are finding ourselves in. She shares her own experience of awakening to her purpose and leaving a life of teaching in formalized education behind in order to pursue the life that is truly meant for her. She shares the cosmic + complex workings of the universe as processed and described through the practice of astrology, so we get a clearer sense of what is happening in our micro and macro worlds. She acknowledges that these are hard + dark times and we need light workers to bring us through, and help us by acting as doulas for change as we bring in a new world. We riff on the breakdown of systems + structures that we are witnessing and actively taking part of as the repressed ugliness of the collective culture and programming rises strongly to the surface to be purged. This is part of the Plutonian energy in interaction with Capricorn and Saturn as the planets reached conjunction back in January. Many years and happenings have been leading up to this time. We have reached the apocalypse, or ‘the lifting of the veil’, which is the end of “time” as we know it. Ancient Greek has two words for time: chronos, which is chronological time that capitalism uses to keep us on the wheel and under its control; and chiros, which is the quality of time that encourages us to live in our natural rhythms and be in the free flow of our desires + talents to do things our own way. We discuss the possibility of the apocalypse as being the end of chronos, clearing the way for the beginning of chiros. She gives us a deep dive into the symbols and interpretations of astrology, pertaining to this current period of time in particular, and of its meaning and validation for our lives as individuals. We come full circle with her words of wisdom that “everything leads to the next thing, and you don’t need to know exactly where you’re going, to go.” Our conversation is a strong reminder that the human experience is complex and messy! And it’s ok to let it be that way. We do not always need to have the answers. And we talk about resting and allowing as processes that encourage+ allow for more abundance of everything we actually want in our lives. Join us for this jam, it’s powerful and strong and so very real when it comes to life as we have known it. Show Notes: Book she references is called “Making the Impossible” by Bill Strickland. Astrology teacher she mentions is Acyuta-bhava Dasa of Nightlight Astrology, astrology podcasts mentioned are Holds to Heavens with Sumner , and The Astrology Podcast with Chris Brennan. This episode is all about losing people from our lives; AKA endings, small deaths, loss, beginning of the grieving process and creation of new space. When people leave our lives, be it a partner, friends, a job, co-workers, it is a difficult thing to sit with. It brings change where we hadn’t anticipated change to appear. We feel raw and hurt and unsure. These are all invitations to do the hard thing and ask each of our emotions and feelings to tell us more. To invite the grief that can and should always follow an ending, especially ones that are unwanted or unforeseen. Because in that grief comes the strength of Knowing. The allowing that brings us to a more balanced state of realization and Knowing that this is not about us being fundamentally or characteristically flawed; it was just time. Time to go. Time to seek new, even if new looks like empty space for awhile. There is forgiveness in grief; forgiveness for the other, and forgiveness for ourselves for all the times we showed up imperfectly in the relationship, for thinking that we could’ve done better or more, or going down the “if only” path. Forgiveness is release, surrender, and acceptance. Especially if we have some fears around being left or abandoned, this is an especially challenging circumstance. We don’t always get closure. That’s something we have to give ourselves. How? By turning inward and finding answers. They may not be the answer we wanted, but they are the ones we need. And sometimes we are the ones intentionally choosing to step away from the relationship. We are saying “I love you, but this is no longer for me.” In that moment, we are choosing ourselves and our path fully. We are saying No to compromise and self-abandonment, and saying no to guilt and shame, and instead we are standing tall in ourselves. We are standing tall in what we Know can no longer be for us. And here’s the thing: it’s nothing personal. When people choose not to jam with us anymore, it is not personal. It’s path, it’s alignment. And if we truly want a more loving world, we have to step back from attachment and personal offense and allow people to go where they are guided, and we let them go with grace and peace. This weeks meditation is called Today I Bless this, and the card reading segment is read from Collete Baron-Reid’s Good Tarot Deck. Thanks for being here, and thank you for choosing to jam with me. On this episode of the Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast, I’m jamming solo about a topic I know pretty intimately—the habits and patterns in life that create relationship with substance. This is the morning coffee, drink-to-take-the-edge off, smoke-a-little-something-to -take-away-the-big-feelings kind of habits we keep around in our lives because, well, they’ve been around and we haven’t questioned their existence. Until now. There is nothing wrong with these substances in themselves, and using them is perfectly alright. Getting clear on relationship with them, and what drives us to reach for them is the tough question we ask ourselves when we decide to get really curious about what we are doing with ourselves and our lives. I take you through my long standing relationship with alcohol and coffee, and what I’ve learned from stepping away from both. Just know, though, that wherever you are at with this, you’re just right. I am here to ask the hard questions, so thanks for jamming. Much love from your host, Kristi Derkacy Show Notes: follow the journey on Instagram @resonance_restorative
In this special episode, I am jamming on the beauty of entering a new decade of life—I am now crossing the golden gateway into my thirties. Much is being left behind, and much is left to discover as I move forward. Here, I take the time to reflect on the wisdom, blessings and big lessons that I have gained over the last decade and over my lifetime. I experienced my twenties as what I am affectionately calling a “trash can fire of a decade” because it was such a slow, steady, intense burn down of my life. But now I have all the rich ash to grow into my new rebirth from. And that is a huge blessing. I wouldn’t change a thing. Not the intense darkness and pain, nor the light filled moments that brought me to tears of joy. My heart is so full. So here’s to all of you for celebrating with me. We, each and every one of us, are so worth being celebrated. And I thank you from deep in my heart for being on this soulful journey with me. With big love from your host, Kristi Derkacy Show Notes: mentioned in the Outro was Boulder to Birmingham, which is the title of the song by the beautiful country singer Emmylou Harris. On the second guest episode of the Wisdom of Wyse Women podcast, I have Elena Michel with me! Elena is a scientist and researcher at a German university. The work that her institute is doing is truly a game changer in the way that science and research interfaces with the community, and she takes us through what they are doing to bring the right people together to create real positive change and to make lasting impact. This whole episode and the core of her work is based on human change and transformation, and she is playing her part as a midwife for both. Everything she does and creates is focused on community and what is being built for the present and to be taken into the future. She’s an inspiring, humble, passionate and wise woman who is stepping into her role with conviction and allowing herself down her unique path and finding her unique voice and place in this world. And that is what this all about. She fires us up about our own place in the interconnected community of human life, and she reminds us that when we bring our talents and gifts together and come together as people, what we can do is truly limitless in scope and impact. We cannot underestimate the power of the group, and that is a strong motif throughout this episode. So thank you very much for joining us! I hope you come away charged up and inspired by the work and the story that is shared here. Much love and support from your host, Kristi Derkacy. On this episode of Wisdom of Wyse Wisdom podcast, I am doing a solo jam on what it means when we find ourselves in the space between. What is the space between, anyway? It’s that time between big endings that have created change and space in their wake, and before we are ready to step fully I to a new beginning. It’s the time when we look to stillness and time out to re-discover our vision. It’s the dismantling phase that comes before a full rebirth. And it can be confusing, challenging, and a bunch of stuff can come up that we might have thought we had already worked through. I use personal narrative and metaphor to share my story about my six month long dismantling process that has been going on, and is continuing. When we feel like our lives are shifting into becoming unrecognizable, that’s when we have to allow, surrender and trust. And know that these endings and changes don’t come because we aren’t worthy, they come around because we are worthy of the life we have in our dreams. Changes aren’t punishments, and the space between is not meant to last forever. Rather it is meant to hold us and cradle us until we are fully ready to leave behind what we know doesn’t fit into the life we want to step towards. It’s a vision quest. And it’s not easy. But you’re not alone. Stepping towards alignment means inviting change. Join me to jam, get some encouragement, and engage a somatic meditation focused on the back body to bring in the realization that we always have our own backs. We have strong backs and soft hearts, and we are protected now and always. This week on Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast, I am joined by a member of the light working community, Carrie Pokorney. Carrie is a Reiki practitioner, a yoga instructor, a semi-new mama, and most definitely is a wise woman. In this episode, we get into her journey that brought her into the practices of yoga and Reiki and the shifts and synchronicities that have moved her through her life path. She speaks openly about what it means to be a new mother, moving through change, and finding yourself throughout the process. We learn that Carrie is a manifestation queen! And she shares about times when miracles have shown up in her life. We jam on relationships, the power of meeting the right people, and the struggles and and huge changes that come with stepping into the new phase of life as a parent. Her story is beautiful and it is such an honor to share this platform with her. Carrie and I met synchronously at a yoga studio where she was teaching restorative yoga. After that, she gave me guidance and direction when Reiki began to show up in my life. She has been a source of great inspiration and wisdom to me, and I’m so glad that she was willing to share her unique voice with me and with all of you. I hope you enjoy listening to this show as much as I did while recording it. There is a lot of love here. And thank you for being here to share it. With love from your host, Kristi. In today’s show, we are talking about what it means to be witnessed by others, and the vulnerability we need to show up with in order to allow ourselves the experience of being witnessed. I share a personal narrative of a powerful experience of being witnessed by a group of women. It came at a time when I so deeply needed it. Being witnessed means we allow ourselves to come just as we are, with all our messiness, all of our emotions and feelings, and all of what is in our heads and hearts and just BE. Being the witness means we do not feel the need to fix or change or offer advice. Instead, we can choose to see our own struggles in the other person, and allow them to have their experience in our presence while we offer empathy and compassion and presence. It doesn’t take the right words or the right actions to be a powerful witness. It just takes a matched amount of vulnerability, and the willingness to see our own humanness in the pain and struggle of others. And it’s a powerful and loving thing to witness someone —without judgement, and without the need to make anyone feel better. We meet the need of ourselves and others when we decide to be a witness that allows the experience to unfold in our space, and we can hold ourselves open to what that may look and feel like. There is no need to do anything else but just BE. Because we all are what we are, and what we are is good. I offer a somatic meditation for the practice of being a witness to the self, and we end with a card reading and some questions for your week. So glad and grateful to have you here. From my messy human self to you, you are so welcome to be here however you are in this moment. I am always glad to have you. Love from your host, Kristi. I mention another podcast in the intro, it is called Embodied Astrology and is hosted by Renee Sills, do check that our for a deeper dive into the coming astrological season. The card deck I read from is called The Good Tarot, created by Collette Baron-Reid
In this episode of Wisdom of Wyse Women, we talk about our divine power to be our own healers. We mirror nature in our abilities to regenerate and restore ourselves, when we take the time to tap into that powerful part of us and integrate it into our energy, spirit, mind and body. When we take back our healing power from things or others that we have outsourced it to, and commit to trusting ourselves on our own unique healing and wellness journey, we come home more to our infinite abilities to create the lives that we deserve and desire. I get into the work we do as individuals before turning outwards to assist others in their journeys. Importantly, I discuss the feelings we may have of “imposter syndrome”, where we feel we may have to be “perfect” in order to be considered a healer. But the truth is that we are all journeying towards our feelings of wholeness. And we do not need to be perfect, or compare ourselves along the way. We are all here to learn about ourselves, and we each have the power to restore ourselves to the healed, embodying a whole state of being. As always, you are so supported, and so encouraged to be all of you. And by calling your inner healer forth to be unleashed, you are reclaiming a beautiful part of your deep personal power. Much love from your host. All the best for a blessed week. Minute 7-getting into the riff on our individual power to heal ourselves. Minute 27-Somatic Meditation; mantra: “I trust that my body has all it needs to heal itself”. We will take ourselves to a place where we find healing and restoration and allow that energy to call up healing and peaceful sensations in the body.
It’s easy to want to keep things recognizable and unchanging in our lives. We are used to busy, noisy, external activity-filled existences, but are now being asked to open up to a very different way of living and relating. We are being asked to choose ourselves, and have been granted the time to do so. Not just the parts that we know already, but also the parts that have been avoided, ignored, suppressed and kept in the dark for most of our lives. Because the truth is, all of who we are deserves our attention. It all has something to teach us. We can be and are our greatest teachers, if only we ask ourselves what there is to learn. In this episode, we journey into the practice of choosing our own selves. All of us. Without fear. Because we are worthy of being fully chosen, witnessed and understood, and accepted for the perfectly flawed, divine humans that we are. We will begin the episode with some notable astrology about the full moon in Virgo, work through the jam time, and end with a somatic meditation on creating an empowered connection to self. This week, I am also reading from two cards in a deck I have begun working with. As always, I am excited and honored to have you and be your guide as we explore this beautiful expansive subject together. Much love from your host, Kristi.
When we have been conditioned to believe or expect that we “our best” has to look something like perfection, we take on a heavy load. It weighs down the relationship we have with ourselves with unmet expectations, and it spills onto our other relationships, too. Here, we are discussing the freedom and peace that comes with accepting that everyone around us, ourselves included, are all truly doing the best that we can. Their best may look and feel different than our best, and that is ok. Other people are not in our lives for us to try to change them. That isn’t our work. Our work is to be who we are, and extend grace to ourselves and others by allowing the truth of where we are right now to always come through. Our best will look differently every day, and that is ok. This is a process, one that takes a lot of practice to learn. But when we shift into this knowledge and learn to embody it, the pressure that we feel is alleviated. We can allow others to be who they are without feeling let down by them. Because we know they are doing their best. And we can be forgiving and loving to ourselves by taking this as a mantra in our own lives and by seeing the truth in it. Be patient, be empathetic, be loving. This will come with allowance and time. You’re doing your very best and I see you showing up. Much love from your host, Kristi.
We get into that big deep question: what am I here for? What is my purpose? This is a question that comes up for most of us quite often. But it’s a tough one to answer. Host Kristi Derkacy shares her journey towards her higher purpose and the events that led to the birth of her business, Resonance Restorative Women’s Collective. All of the joy, uncertainty, gratitude + change that stepping towards our own alignment is discussed. We are here to do so much more than anything we may have been told by our culture or society. We each have something unique + so valuable to contribute to the collective good. We just have to be willing to turn towards it. We summon our courage + we walk the path that is uniquely ours. And we show up in a way that makes a beautiful difference to ourselves + to others. We feed our internal fire, and that is how we know we have found what is for us. Our intuition will speak more clearly, our self love will grow, our fire will grow + we will feel so in flow that we know we have found all of us, our reason for being. Please feel welcome to share with me on Instagram (@kristi.derkacy or @resonancerestorative) or on my website at www.resonancerestorative.com You can also find articles written by your host. Thank you very much for being here + sharing this journey with me. I appreciate you.
Welcome to the pilot episode of Wisdom of Wyse Women Podcast! From your host, Kristi Derkacy, I am so grateful + joyful that you are here. In this episode, we are introduced to who I am + what I do, we do an intro about the podcast, I give a brief explanation of somatic practice, and then I spend time riffing on the differences between great fear and great love, and how they impact our internal worlds, our lives + our relationships. We do a guided meditation that gets us into our bodies + helps us experience the difference between negative emotional body response and positive emotional body response, and we close like we will every week with questions to take with us to ruminate on and resonate with throughout our week.
