From toddlers to teens our kids are trying to figure out who they are becoming, and our hope is to be ready with faithful encouragement and support them spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We need the replenishing news of the Gospel and the wisdom of our local church families to raise generations. This includes letting God inspire personal change as He raises us. The Time is Now to connect, to listen, and to grow relationally with our church, our community, and our kids. This is RAISING GENERATIONS a podcast of Cherry Creek Presbyterian.

Nayla Festa shares tips on how teens can set up rhythms in their lives to remain healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually. Nayla is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma work, such as EMDR and DBT, with third culture adolescents and families. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary and loves volunteering for Cherry Creek Pres. Her clinical experience comes from her years of work at a child and family community mental health center. She also has years of experience from non-profit work for kids experiencing parental loss. Most importantly, Nayla loves God and loves others.

Barb Roberts has years of experience walking beside individuals and families – many who struggle with pain and loss and despair. She is the Director of Caring Ministry at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church. She and her husband, Ken live in the Denver area.
She is the author of two books – “Helping Those Who Hurt: A Handbook for Caring and Crisis;” – and her latest book – “With Her Last Breath: A Tale of Suicide and the Hope of Heaven.”
