John teaches from Acts chapter 9 and sheds some light on Saul’s encounter with Christ on the road to Damascus.
Text: Acts 9:1-20
We had a great time chatting with Paul Barth, the creative mind behind Presbyterian Memes. We heard about his process for creating memes, his transition out of the military, and all about being a Covenanter. You will want to hear this one!
National Covenanting: gospel goes forth, nation repents, swears to be a Christian nation follow God’s laws.
The Great Debate (as it has been dubbed) is the now-famous interaction between Dr. Greg Bahnsen and Gordon Stein that occurred at the University of California, Irvine back in 1985. The topic was Does God Exist?
Never since then have we witnessed such a masterful presentation of presuppositional apologetics. Dr Bahnsen was truly a gifted man, and it showed here.
Please enjoy listening to the debate below, and be sure to read along in the transcript. In fact, print it out and take notes!

This week we start off talking about the false prophet John Hagee and the blood moons, the shemitah, and even necromancy regarding Samuel’s ghost. After that we set John loose to preach on persecution from Acts. It’s a great summary to the topic after discussing it a couple weeks ago.
Persecution is a means through which Christ’s Kingdom expands.
There’s no reason to listen this week. We interviewed Dustin Ranem. What a boring guy. Not much to see here. Move along.
Adam messaged me one day & said, “How would you like to be on a podcast about Postmil?” I was like, “No.”
This week we decided to chat on the topic of abortion, due to the recent focus on Planned Parenthood in the news.
We need to stop being pansy American evangelicals and actually pray that God would destroy His enemies.
This week Dustin challenged Colin on whether the Ashley Madison hack was moral. Colin then went all theonomy on him and set him straight. After that we talked about porn, and then John had some final thoughts on persecution, from his sermon.
The pornography industry is directly related to the human trafficking industry.
Dustin was gone this week, but somehow we managed to keep the humor for the first segment. Jovan Mackenzy (Von Frasier), creator of the original #DatPostmil intro song, joined us to confront our Batman blasphemies from Episode 10. We took his rebuke into consideration and charged forward with some meatier eschatological discourse. In the second segment, we discussed the four primary views concerning the millennium of Revelation 20 (Dispensationalism, Historic Premillennialism, Amillennialism, and Postmillennialism) as well as the origins and history behind those terms. After that we discussed the various views concerning the New Testament use of the Greek term Parousia—the “coming” of Christ. We wrapped it all up in the last segment with a brief synopsis of the four basic interpretive frameworks for New Testament prophetic literature (Futurism, Preterism, Historicism, Idealism) and how they relate to the four primary views on the millennium!

“Your eschatology answers: ‘What does it look like for God to redeem/restore his creation?’” -@johndanielred @datpostmil #DatPostmil
While John was too busy playing Trivial Pursuit and charades with strangers, Colin, Adam, and Dustin (of course, Seni had homework to do or something like that) got together and discussed the basics of Calvinism. Calvinism 101, if you will. And you will. We started out by going over the 5 Solas (Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, Soli Deo Gloria) and then ended with the Doctrines of Grace (affectionately dubbed TULIP – Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, Perseverance of the Saints). It was a great time, and you should listen. Cheers and A– er, I mean Cheerio Fine Lads!

This week we had a great discussion on voting. It’s a timely issue and needs to be seriously thought about by all Christians. How should we support the existing government? Should we dissent? Is there such thing as a wasted vote? We covered the RPCNA’s voting stance, mostly focusing on the supremacy clause of the US Constitution (stating that the supreme authority is itself and the laws made) and the religious pluralism upheld by the First Amendment (explicitly denying the First Commandment). Then we discussed an article on the 9Mark website (see link below) regarding the Gospel and Culture. We encourage you all to visit the page and engage them in the comment section! Cheers folks!

“Religious liberty is letting every man choose his own way to hell.”
We had a great conversation with Luke “the Bear” Pierson of Apologia Radio/Apologia Church/Apologia Studios…or as we like to call it, APOLOGIA EMPIRE. We talked about the Postmil feel of Tomorrowland, Joe Boot, and proactive disunity. It was great fun! Check it out!

“The problem isn’t that I have an over-realized eschatology, it’s that you have an under-realized soteriology.” -Joe Boot
This week we interviewed Matt Trewhella, a pastor from Wisconsin that is a well-known proponent of the Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate.
Here are some recommended links for further study:
What can you do now? Contact your lesser magistrates! Write to them. Keep it short, make your point, don’t go over 1 page. You could even meet with your local officials!
“We need to urge our local officials to honor God, and support them in that endeavor.”
We thought it might be fun to spend some time getting to know your hosts. So on the first edition of Meet a Host, you get to learn about Colin Pearson.
“Music theory is almost trinitarian. One note is composed of many pitches.”
Wow. That’s all I can say about this episode of #DatPostmil Podcast. We asked Marcus Pittman (of Crown Rights and Apologia Studios) to join us, and he brought along fellow Crown Rights artist IV Conerly! The conversation was lighthearted and fun, and went from Batman vs. Superman to Christians producing bad art; even to whether (#DatPostmil) Christians should be eating meat! Check it out, you won’t be sorry!

It was another beautiful day in the Lord’s kingdom, and I was going for a stroll on the beach. After not too long I got the feeling I was being followed. So I looked back, and much to my surprise there were two sets of footprints in the sand. When I looked to my right, I noticed Joel McDurmon walking next to me. I was all, “Hey Joel! What’s up?” And he was all, “Hey man, what do I have to do to get on your podcast?” And that’s how this episode got it’s start. We’re really excited for you to hear what Joel has to say! We talked about his great book “Restoring America: One County at a Time” and his latest (edited) “The New England Pulpit and the American Revolution.”
We also announced the winner of the Restoring America giveaway.
For those early listeners, be sure to participate in this week’s extra contest! Listen to the episode for details!

“People think Theonomy is top down, oppressive approach. Its not that at all.” -@JoelMcDurmon @Datpostmil #DatPostmil
eff Durbin karate-chopped and ninja-turtled his way onto this week’s episode, and it was fantastic! We talked about Apologia Church, Apologia Radio, and Apologia Studios and what God is doing with those ministries. Jeff explained to us what’s new and what we can expect to see/hear from them in the near future. We also talked about how Jeff is not actually a ninja (though he vigorously defended it) and other obviously very important things. Then we talked about what a biblical worldview is and how/why Postmillennilaism and Theonomy are important to a comprehensive biblical worldview. We also talked briefly about how to disagree in a loving fashion, and how to leave others with no excuse to stumble over our behavior. We hope you enjoy!

Episode 4 of DatPostmil Podcast is here a bit late due to some issues with our feed, however what we have for you this week is an interview with an extra special guest! We were honored to chat with Bojidar Marinov before we even started this podcast. We reached out to him and he agreed to discuss Postmillennialism and missions before we had anything set up; and we’re thankful for him taking a chance on us 😉
We’re excited for you to hear what this man had to say:

Text: Matthew 5:13-20 – “I have not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets…but to fulfill the Law.”
In this Sermon, John Howell exegeted Matthew 5: 13-20 and applied it to our current state of society. There is a KING and he has called us to uphold his good law so others may find him. The Gospel is a call to arms.
Episode 2 of DatPostmil Podcast! We’re pumped to bring you an episode devoted to theonomy this week as we talk about:
“I stopped by Chipotle today on the way home so I could get a taste of the New Heavens/New Earth.” -Dustin
The resurrection of Christ was the creation of a new world. As the second Adam, Jesus has established the Kingdom of God through his victory over death and the world being ruled over by sin.
