We are a boutique agency, record label and a media platform that provides an in-depth exploration of music, culture, and society and the interaction between these phenomena.
Our aim is focused on finding a middle ground between modern societies and the forgotten cultural history through music. We focus on highlighting how music, as a common element to all cultures, can be the point of contact in determining cultural and social foundations of any given society.

November in the Middle East's music portfolio holds the birth and the passing of our iconic Sabah (Nov 1927 - Nov 2014). Having long ties with some of her era's leading composers, most notably Egypt's Abdel Wahhab and Lebanon's Rahbanis, Sabah headlined the so-called ألزمن الجميل. This November a single from Ghewna Nemnom triggers our nostalgia, taking us back to a time we all wish we had witnessed. An original downtempo electronica from Nemnom, comes in the form of a tribute and delivers such reminiscence.

Artist: Rolbac Title: Lost Loon EP Cat #: CTNMTH001 Remixes by: Collé & Zigan Aldi
Rolbac’s long anticipated release has reached its peak, our main man is back for the first one on Cottonmouth Music. With heavy support from big players like; Pete Tong, Bedouin, Hernan Cattaneo, , Mira Kater, Monika Kruse, etc... the first seems to be a charm.
Lost Loon EP packs two originals by Rolbac supported with two remixes by Collé and Zigan Aldi.
The title tracks are deep and experimental with just the right amount of vocal chops, rhythmic stabs and perfect use of Middle Eastern instruments. Obviously Rolbac introduces a new sound to electronic music with Lost Loon.
Collé's remix for 'Lost' redefines it completely, opting for two dreamy breaks, a rolling strong cored bass-line and creating a powerful track that places dance floor peak times in perspective.
Zigan Aldi' remix for 'Loon' opens new dimensions on the surrounding soundscape with an ever growing feeling of harmony. A track that definitely sets up the mood for your after-hours.
Track list: 1- Lost (Original Mix) 2- Lost (Collé Remix) 3- Loon (Original Mix) 4- Loon (Zigan Aldi)

On the 66th edition of our blogcast, we proudly present one of Beirut's finest artists and founder of Fantôme de Nuit record label > Nesta.
Who is Nesta?
Nabih Esta exploded onto Beirut’s burgeoning clubbing scene as the generation-defining Nesta back in 2006. Whether at massive stadium events or more intimate club gatherings, it was hard not to catch one of his versatile and eclectic sets wrapping up or warming up for the biggest names in the industry.
In the decade since, Nesta further cemented himself as part of the taste-makers in Beirut’s clubbing scene. After heading to London to hone his sound engineering skills, Nesta devised his Techno-drenched alter ego, Technophile. Technophile brought out the twisted, melancholic side of Nesta’s music allowing him to delve into more experimental frequencies in the spectrum while maintaining the momentum of the Nesta alias.
In 2014, Nesta founded his Beirut-based label Fantôme de Nuit (FDN) and devoted himself to producing massive tracks infused with elements from his Lebanese heritage and musically-gifted family and entourage that led to the creation of Nesta & Silky Raven landing an EP on Damian Lazarus's label Rebellion. FDN today includes an impressive ever-growing roster of talent from both Beirut and beyond. As of 2016, several vinyl and digital EPs and albums have been released, with many more in store for 2017. With that, Nesta has helped transform Beirut from a city that appreciates and consumes good music, to a city churning out tracks and live sets that are making knees buckle and goosebumps rise across Europe and the Middle East.
Apart from releasing massive bangers and sophisticated productions, FDN hosts regular showcases and private parties that bring together Beirut’s most seasoned musical palates, promoters and club runners. These parties have helped propel rising local talents, ensuring promising new artists get the recognition and direction they need to grow Lebanon’s clubbing culture even further with every weekend.
His fruitful time in the studio hasn’t kept him from a busy touring schedule though. He holds a residency at Beirut’s biggest club, Uberhaus & The Gärten where he is also a partner and one of the founders. Apart from that, he is regularly featured on the lineups of top-notch clubs such as KaterBlau and Sisyphos in Berlin as well as renowned festivals like Sonar in Barcelona.
Nesta, Technophile and Fantôme de Nuit combine to create a versatile spectrum of music that stays true to its House beginnings, continuously evolves its inclination to Techno and refuses to abide by one genre or style. This unique blend of talent and style has been perfect for today’s world where genres are hard to define and music lovers expect new elements and refreshing takes on time-honored genres they grew up listening to and loving.
P.S: Track list will be added one week from release date.

On the 63RD edition of our blogcast, we proudly present Dutch based Dj and producer > Collé.
Definitely one of the most interesting and exciting mixes for this year, this one is a gem. A Dutch talent has been hiding in the studio and all of a sudden amazes us with a unique sound of his. Two upcoming massive releases on Bedouin's imprint, Truecolors, have been supported at their set at Burning Man 2017 and included in this mix. A melodic and moody mix injected with an extensive African groove vibe, enjoy this one.
Who is Collé?
Although Collé may seem to be a newcomer, his experience is most certainly not. With years of producing many different music styles, his involvement and interest in people and cultures, Collé is ready to bring his music to a next level. Sharing his unique sound, which has a lot of emotion and depth into it, feels like a new way of expressing himself through his music.

Who is George Yammine?
Born and raised in Denmark, he discovered his passion for electronic music during his teens. This was further developed when he moved to his parents’ native country of Lebanon where he furthered his education. There he became involved in the Lebanese Progressive House music industry. He learnt the art of DJing and developed his sound engineering skills.
Upon his return to Denmark, he continued refining his electronic music making and began producing his own tracks as well as remixing tracks made by other music producers and DJs. He has released tracks with Global Underground, Joof Recordings, Bonzai Records to name a few. His heart lies in Progressive House and Tech House music. Pure FM in San Francisco has featured him on their radio show after producing several tracks that got their attention.
His music has been played and supported by some of the world’s leading DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo and John Flemming, as well as others. His newest venture is a radio show called ‘Cymatics’ that is released on every second Saturday of each month on Proton Radio.

On the 59th edition of our blogcast, we proudly present Dubai-based artists and Blue Marlin's resident Djs > Jixo & Danz.
Known for their diversity of sounds and their unique ability to adapt their sound to wherever they play and whichever brand they play for, Jixo & Danz make their debut on Cottonmouth with this desert / saharan mix. It's been a while in the making, happy to say this podcast is finally out of the bag and on your plate.

Who are Jixo & Danz?
Resident DJ's at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE / Brand ambassadors for Sennheiser Middle East
Playing back-to-back with another DJ is a skill few people have. And we're not talking one-upping the other Dj with tunes they can't follow, we're talking about Djs that feed off each other’s tunes, energy and vibe to create a hands up, heads down affair. Jixo and Danz have made a career out of it, as the two Daniels (Jahed and Azar) work in tandem dropping everything from sunset deep house to peak time techno.
As long-term residents at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE – without doubt the number one spot in Dubai and probably the Middle East – they've had the pleasure of warming up for DJ heavyweights like Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Sven Vath, Luciano, Nina Kravitz and Art Department. Regularly playing to thousands on the fabled terrace every Friday, they’ve also played underground bastions of cool back in Beirut, their home city, including The Basement, Uberhaus and converted bomb-shelter club, BO18.
Jixo (Daniel Jahed) and Danz (Daniel Azar) have been child hood friends since school, with the tight-knit bond continuing into their first pub, bar and club gigs. Amazingly considering their packed DJ schedule, the DJ duo both work full time in Dubai’s thriving media industry. It hasn’t stopped them from taking international bookings, however, with Jixo & Danz having worked dancefloors as far-flung as Ibiza, Croatia, Malaysia and Egypt.
Musically, they’ve always positioned themselves at the deeper, groovier end of the house spectrum known for their trademark super-smooth sets, but are equally as comfortable taking it up a notch and dropping a tech-house and techno masterclass when needed. And with their back-to-back energy and peerless selection guaranteed at every gig, Jixo and Danz are proving that two heads (and four hands) is better than one.

On the 58th edition of our blogcast, we proudly present the beautiful Tulum-based artist, Nour.
NOUR’s exploration of different countries and cultures was the main ingredient for the recipe of her smooth, uplifting sound. This mix provides a soothing flow that takes you on an enchanting trip through different, somehow contradictory natural environments. Deep house lovers, you’re bound to get hooked to this set.

Who is Nour?
First to herself, as it goes, searching for a sound that would reverberate with her soul, Nour ultimately found one in between various genres, modulated by her moods. She connects to music through a myriad of influences originating from her abound personal experiences living in very different, often contradictory, cultural and natural environments. Born Palestinian, ever since cosmopolitan... This alone speaks volumes.
Nour emerged as a consummate and inimitable stage identity first in Toronto, her more or less permanent base, then on the international scene through her involvement with a number of momentous and paradigmatic projects. Papaya Playa Project in Tulum (Mexico) is most notably one of them, a Caribbean brainchild of legendary Bar 25/Kater Holzig (once and to be always the case). She has been a resident with the beach club since 2012 – the one-of-a-kind open-plan venue that, through ecstatic reviews in the global Media (from Vogue to Wall Street Journal), has allegedly kick-started the development of the entire area making the small town one of the most desirable destinations in the world.
Since 2014, she has been in charge of the scene at Gitano, another and most recent gypset outpost in Tulum, booking DJs worldwide for her time-off at the decks in the jungle.
2015 saw her full-time and in different capacities involved in kicking off Scorpios, a brand new beach club in Mykonos, Greece -- but primarily so as a resident DJ there sharing the stage with the likes of Acid Pauli, NU, Christopher Schwarzenegger, Dimitri from Paris, Louie Vega, to name a few.
Her list of gig associations is long and includes such names as Daniel Bortz, Tiefschwarz, Psychemagik, Capablanca, Mia Lucci, Pilocka Krach, Fritz Zander, Alex, Soukie&Windish, Oceanvs Orientalis, Trickski, HVOB, Nitin, Silky.
It's Berlin and, specifically, Kater Blau that Nour considers her favorite venue. It never takes long before one sees her name reprinted on its famous SASOMO billboard.
Her credo is Deep House of the kind that makes Nour always in the right place with it. Who does not love it deep? Anything but shallow and fake.

On the 42nd edition of our blogcast we proudly present the talented Thommie G.
We have crossed a long path on this show and with this guy here, we go back to basics. We discovered this precious talent through his edit of Cymande's 'Dove'. A brilliant slow-mo edit of the 1972 hit in an electronic interpretation and keeping the touch of the calypso rhythms. Recently, he added his own unique edit of Suzanne Vega's 'Tom's Diner'. His edits leave you with the feel of authenticity but keeps you in a melodic vibe and dreamy mood. This mix features an unreleased track that goes by the name 'Dancing With Wolves'. A big future awaiting this Dutch talent, this has been created with a lot of love; starting slow, deep and intense, it evolves into a pleasant and steady journey through sounds.
Who is Thomas Gaarthuis ?
Thomas Gaarthuis aka 'Thommie G', was caught by the enchantment of music since the very beginning. Working as a graphic designer for 16 years, it felt natural to step into the world of sound design in summer 2015. Having a big affinity with deep and tribal music, he combines organic sounds and rhythms to his productions, carrying the listener to places beyond their audio system.
Although not married to a specific genre, his style touches elements of slow, deep, tech and tribal. He produces different sounds for different occasions, mostly by himself, sometimes joining forces with other musicians. And with success: his first solo EP, titled Athinouk, was released on TropicalTwistaRecords in May 2016. More releases are coming out on Phat Elephant Recordings and Whirling Wolf by the end of this year.
Besides that, 2015 saw the birth of Dancing under the stars (Dansen onder de Sterren), Thomas' own club night in his hometown of Haarlem.
His music is played by a number of DJ's, such as Oceanvs Orientalis, the notorious Voodoohop collective from Brazil, Urban Cosmonaut Radio collective and more.
Track list goes like this: 1. Intro by Akinwande Oluwole "Wole" Babatunde Soyinka 2. Tosca - Joe Si Ha 3. Indische - Ser Consciente 4. Discoshaman - Making a Cyborg 5. Cymande - Dove (Thommie G edit) 6. Carrot Green - Duress (Psyche remix) 7. A & N - Nubian Village (Fred Berthet remix) 8. Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner (Thommie G edit) 9. Who is 3LIAS?
Hailing from the mountains overlooking the Eastern Mediterranean, 3LIAS slowly followed a deep, dark groove all the way down to the coast. More specifically the old city quarantine of Beirut. Today, almost a decade into his residency at B 018, 3LIAS has transformed it into a subterranean factory of silky jazzy funky synths drenched in melancholic , rolling grooves and deep, dark-driven beats that entrance the mind and move the feet till the early hours of the morning.
3LIAS collaborates regularly with talents from around the world, as well as unprecedented endeavors with fellow Lebanese musicians of all sorts and genres. Together, 3LIAS has the perfect combination helping redefine the art of making Beirut's human beings (and more and more people from around the world), dance well into the night.

On the 34th edition of our blogcast we proudly present the massive Oliver Deutschmann with an unusual mix.
There is always a side B of each artist/dj, and today we highlight this side of the Deutschmann. The techno meister goes back to his roots with this mix and exposes his musical background in a very transparent manner. His passion for electronic music does not defy the fact that he still shares the same passion with the golden age. Featuring music from artists like Dolly Parton, The Animals, Ramones, Deep Purple, Bee Gees, etc... this mix has been definitely recorded with love.
With Oliver Deutschmann we take podcasts to a whole different level, beyond electronic music, and we prove that oldies are the still the goldies. Yes, this is pretty unusual, but unusual is what we seek.
Enjoy this one (:
Who is Oliver Deutschmann?
Berlin's Oliver Deutschmann has gained a reputation over the last 15 years through his pure passion, diverse track selection and an unambiguous mixing ability. Years before he released his first EPs he had already set himself on a path that would see him DJ all over the world, eventually leading to his adopted home of Berghain where he has lit up both rooms of the club dozens of times since first playing there almost ten years ago. Deutschmann displays a distinct unwillingness to be pigeonholed in any one style, and is right at home whether he's warming things up with an understated house groove or thrashing the big rooms with his grandiose brand of techno.
While honing his abilities at the controls, he also began testing the waters of production and label ownership, and has since created four labels: Vidab, Falkplatz, Slim Audio and the vinyl only imprint GKNSTR. Releases on Soma, Aim, Caduceus, Etruria Beat, Mobilee, and his own imprints culminated in his 2013 debut album, 'Out of the Dark,' that Resident Advisor described to be "as potent as any techno album released in the last few years." As an impassioned DJ, producer, and label owner, Deutschmann has ensured that his position in the forefront was never a fleeting one, and with numerous EP's and a second album on the way, it looks like things will stay that way.

On the 27th edition of our blogcast, we proudly present @iamtechnophile.
We always promise to provide the best content, for that we choose our guests selectively, and of course the very best of them. Nabih Esta or Technophile is no stranger Beirut’s music scene, he has been there for a while and we can definitely say, he is a Class A local artist/Dj, rising to reach the same caliber internationally. We chose not go after his biography on social media platforms, so we decided take a closer look and have a brief chit-chat with him. "I wanted to record something special, different from the mixes I usually record, stuff that people and myself can always listen to at home” he says. And he did...
1- Tangerine dream - Rubycon 2- Miles Davis – Felo 3- Cinematic Orchestra - Ma Fleur 4- Skalpel - Low 5- ID - ID 6- Moritz Von Oswald Trio - Sounding Line 7- ID - ID 8- Ibrahim Jaber - Faces 9- Ziad el Rahbani - Abu Ali
My experience as an @Uberhaus resident was a big turning point in my career. It helped me shape my profile and solidify my project as Technophile. The past four years at Uberhaus have been very exciting and dynamic. I get to meet really cool artists every weekend, and of course let’s not forget to mention the amazing people and massive crowd which without them nothing of all this success would have been possible. Having a local club supporting you is, in my opinion, awesome and limitless. I see it as an open platform, to share, exchange and create epic memories and experiences. Uberhaus was simply a breakthrough in the local scene and it definitely re-boosted it.
Nesta is an old chapter, Technophile is what you will be seeing next, and I can’t wait to share with you all of the exiting coming projects, collaborations, releases and surprises. The adventures have just begun ;)
@FantomedeNuit records was founded by me and my good friend Wissam Jabbour, releasing on digital and vinyl. Elias Merheb (aka 3LIAS) will also be joining us in the partnership. It is a platform that we created to support new comers in the scene in Beirut or Abroad, also merging arts and music together, giving a platform to all kind of artists and not only DJs and producers. We are releasing music on both vinyl and digital formats, Also most of the artworks are illustrations from different designers and drawers. Regarding the music direction, we are not really stuck in one style or one genre. For me, as a label manager and A&R, it is really boring to stick to one genre, even when producing music and releasing. We believe in good music and good artists, we don’t just follow trends.
Artists involved: Technophile, 3LIAS, Rolbac, Silky Raven, Adam Zahran, Three Machines, Monokultur, Philipp Briebe, Thomas A.S. , Signal Deluxe, Ezequiel Esley, Nadia Popoff etc…

Who is Moodymanc?
"Moodymanc" has become one of the most respected names in house music today. The cheeky monniker was given as a nickname to Danny Ward by his cohorts at 2020 Vision recordings due to his heavily jazz tinged productions and Mancunian roots (Danny was a Hacienda regular and performer back in the day) whilst he was producing his two widely acclaimed albums and 12"s under the name "Dubble D" and as part of "2020 Soundsystem".
The rest is house music history with the first series of 12"s on his own imprint through 2020Vision leading to releases on labels including Tsuba and Dessous (as well as 2020Vision itself), and underground 12"s on boutique labels including Landed, Abstract Theory and Fly By Night. The considerable success and response of these releases, not to mention his chart topping eps "Black Paint", "Joy" and "Father" have showcased his unique production skills and lead to him becoming one of the most in demand re-mixers around, keeping his name consistently in the bestseller and DJ charts and earning the respect of most of the big hitters on the scene, whilst his tribute re-work of Whitney Houston's "It's not right, but it's okay" continues to be an internet sensation.
Danny's roots lie in his background as a jazz musician (he still regularly performs with some of Europe and the US's finest) leading him to gain work with such beat luminaries as Rae and Christian, the Pharcyde, Fila Brasilia and many more before taking the drum and production seats in 2020 soundsystem with Ralph Lawson and Silver City, this led him to perform and dj at some of the biggest clubs, dance events and festivals across the world and has seen him create a large media presence having graced the cover of DJ magazine and been featured in all the Dance music glossies as well as the underground blogs.
As a DJ Danny prides himself in bringing a smooth mix of his vision of the best in current and classic sounds from across the spectrum of house music incorporating a musicality and ability to read crowds that betrays his wide ranging background, experience and massive record collection. He is an expert at bringing the party on and keeping energy high and is equally at home on festival stages or in nightclubs.

On our 21st blogcast, we proudly present Three Machines.
'''Let’s get one thing straight. We hold no grudge against you and your kind, human. We’re a peaceful bunch. Seriously. Those military grade cousins of ours have their reasons. Not us. No sir. We mean you no harm.
However, we do enjoy having you fidgeting around in a dark room after 3 AM. It is merely our nature. It ain’t personal is what we’re saying. You know you like it.'''
Sincopat's 24th Been Touched series featured a massive release for this duo with Antara & Megalith; two brilliant records that will definitely be the perfect booster for the boys. After our casual meeting in Amsterdam Dance Event 2015, as part of their contribution with Sincopat's showcase, the duo is looking forward to another promising massive release.
This timeless mix recorded by Three Machines shows the class and education behind what this duo has to offer for now and the near future. Deep and groovy sounds that definitely define a perfect podcast. Press the play button and enjoy our 21st series of our podcasts.
The bio: According to your favorite dictionary, Synergy is the creation of a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts. It also happens to be the beating heart behind Three Machines, a passion project that brings together Tarek Majdalani and Sleiman Damien, two of the most celebrated producers and DJs in the Middle East.
One is a veteran of sorts, a driving force that has pioneered the rise of Beirut’s pulsating nightlife and music industry, leaving his mark on the airwaves and on the dance floors, playing the biggest venues in the region and sharing the stage with numerous international acts.
The other is a product of scientific malpractice and classified government mischief, with more major credits and events under his belt than should be allowed by state law for someone who has only recently reached voting age.
The unlikely twosome got together under otherwise normal conditions, through business arrangements and mutual acquaintances. In hindsight, it is absolutely safe to say that the first meeting only happened because the universe got bored with itself and a nuclear disaster seemed like overkill at the time.
Together, they relentlessly churn out intricate systems of sounds that would feel right at home in obscure basements, majestic cathedrals and colossal open spaces alike.
Their music is a soundtrack to the cosmos, an ode to the infinitely small, a celebration of the infinitely big, a study of human nature and all of its complex, beautiful imperfections. Most importantly, it does not conform to any pre-defined genre classification.
Classically trained but forward-thinking, enlightened but progressive, the two gears that keep Three Machines running vow to use and abuse the medium, then move on to its hot cousin.

On our 20th blogcast, we proudly present Bas Amro.
Bas Amro is for for sure one of the names that we have been waiting to host on our show. If you listen to his productions, you will definitely sense the old-school touch in his sounds. His music is supported by top-class artists around the world and even on our show. His promising EP goes by the name of 'Imposter Persona' is set to be release in November, on one of our favorite labels; Wolfskuil Records.
Who is Bas Amro? Netherlands-based artist, Bas Amro started producing at the age of 12 and bought his first set of decks at his 14th, but in-spite him being relatively young, you won’t hear this in his sets and productions. His sound is hard to describe. His tracks are old-school but modern, they’re deep but dance floor-effective. He doesn’t limit himself to one style, though he’s no “trendhopper”. While producing house, deephouse, techhouse and even techno, all his productions have something in common that together makes one recognizable sound.

This newborn focus on releasing his own music in 2013 kicked started by the winning remix for Yousef - Italo Sleeze (Salah + Hoolz Mix) - Circus Recordings released on July 22nd 2013. On our 15th blogcast we proudly present Vitalii Mikhailenko aka https://soundcloud.com/gossan.
A smooth, intelligent one-hour mix by the Ukranian, with a cautious music selection. Tunes from artists such as Stavroz, Gorje Hewek & Izhevski, Super Flu etc.. this is the mix that you can chill to. From the sounds of his productions, you can definitely assume that this artist is up to something in the near future. After releasing his hit 'Moment of Saxophone' in the beginning of 2015 on https://soundcloud.com/dushe_label, his releases will fall one after another on Dushe Label and Evoked Recordings for the remaining of this year.
Enjoy this smoothy..
Gossan's Bio: Every single track of Gossan's is a new emotion, experience, facet of his soul. Once words became not enough, and deep sounding instruments with infinite palette of sounds replaced the usual way of experiencing and expressing new or long-forgotten emotions. Minimalistic, but intelligent, created from a variety of rich layers, Gossan’s music is something you need to listen rather than dance to. Every time Gossan’s tracks are like the first attempt, revelation: each track is different from the other, revealing more and more new, special and intimate facets of the soul of the creator.
