Imagine you were stranded on a desert island like the people in LOST, and so there was no government, no police, no rules, just a group of people. You all agree you have to create some kind of laws for this new society. If you were only allowed to make up 10 laws to govern your culture, would “Honor your father and mother” really make your top 10 list ? Why would God make something like this part of the ten commandments ? It turns out this command impacts society and social justice in more ways than we ever imagined. Join us as we look at the challenge of being good parents, and the challenge of honoring our own parents – even those who failed us.
