Marcus Leary

Marcus Leary has a rare ability to take lemons and make lemonade. He was born in los Angeles, California, and adopted and raised in the southeast valley(wine country) in a small town called Arvin outside of Bakersfield. Marcus developed a love for country music at a young age among all different styles of music but it was country music that stuck with him the most, he says it was the stories and fiddles, steel guitars and the boot scootin swing dancing I really enjoyed being involved in. Marcus began to sing in churches and developed that gospel sound and with that a gospel/country sound was born with a hint of black heritage that shouts bakersfield country cool! marcus added his love of horses to his passion for music joining the southern california rodeo scene and was exposed to traditional country music,marcus had gained a confident in his talent he performed for his high school graduation ceremony.after a stint in the navy he moved to texas for bigger opportunities where he joined the local oprys like the grapevine opry honing his skills in front of crowds than night clubs.marcus enjoy working with some of the greatest song writers out there, i really love these guys and gals the way they make a song on paper come to life that's what motivates me when i perform them for the first time cool! he says his goals is to be on the top of the country music charts one day.marcus also adds, being a black country artist has it challenges, i feel times today haven't been more diverse and i'm optimistic.marcus leary is a man determined to have a career.he is a talented man,innovative and relentless in his quest to make it happen.if you get a chance to talk to marcus,you'll find the experience a treat .
