There are many people that do not believe in the God of the bible. Then there are those that believe there is more than one path to God, yet still others believe that they can earn their way to heaven. In this teaching, we will look at Exodus 20:3-6 and learn what the bible says about God.
This series will look at the Ten Commandments and how they relate to our world today. We will study their purpose in relation to us as sinners, and their purpose in the plan for salvation through Jesus Christ.

Jesus, there is no other name greater, yet you scarcely hear it mentioned. Both in the old testament and new testament, God set forth a plan to approach His throne. Our very lives depend on following His plan.

Prayer is a very important part of a believer’s life. Without prayer, our walk would be empty. Prayer is making our request known to God, but faith is the key that moves the heart of God to answer our requests. Hebrews 11:1 gives us a blue print of faith.

Most often we say thank you to God for the things in our life, but I believe we must have a grateful heart. There is a difference between saying thank you and having a heart filled with gratitude.
When we fear the giants in our own life, we can learn from David and his battle with Goliath.
Do you have Christ-esteem or are you full of self-esteem? We are made in the image of God. We are His children. We are not the tail we are the head. When we realize this, it is easy for us to walk in humility. We have nothing to prove to anyone.
If the devil can convince us that we should live in a state of guilt and condemnation, then we will keep silent and shrink into the shadows. But the flesh is dead and buried in His baptism into death and now we are alive by the power of His resurrection.
We all need to reflect an attitude of giving. In Luke chapter 3 John the Baptist say we are to bear fruit worthy of our repentance. In this podcast we will look for ways to reflect the work Christ has done in our hearts.
With TV, cellphones, 24 hour news services, Face Book, and Twitter, we cannot always find time to rest. Throughout the day, we need to find time to turnoff and restore our souls.
God has planted His seed of purpose deep within your spirit. When you open up and let God’s light make that seed grow, you will find your heartfelt desire was God’s purpose for your life.

I was sitting on the bank of my daddy’s pond the other day watching my wife and son fish and I began to ponder Mathew 4:19. As I began to think about all the preparation there is in getting ready to fish, I broke it down into 10 steps. Then I began to compare those steps with how it is when Jesus calls us to become fishers of men.
You don’t have to be around very long before you hear that Jesus calmed a great storm by saying “Peace be still.” I think there is more to the story. We can begin by comparing boarding a boat to our Christian journey. When we first accept Jesus as Lord of our lives, this is the time we get on the boat so to speak. We are excited about the journey and feel that there is nothing that we can not accomplish. Nothing will get us down or cause us to become discouraged. But just like the disciples, here comes the storm.
