In this episode, Father and John Ray talk about the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Sacrament of Confirmation stirs up the fruits and the gifts of the Holy Spirit that were given to us in Baptism. The fruit of the Holy Spirit are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. The gifts of the Holy Spirit wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. The charismatic gifts the word of knowledge, increased faith, the gifts of healing, the gift of miracles, prophecy, the discernment of spirits, kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues. We can measure our growth in holiness by reflecting on the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

From there they begin to peel back God's universal love and His particular love. Then they look at the "lost things" from last Sunday's Gospel and tie that into God's desire to forgive us cause He loves us.

On today's episode, Sitting in for Fr. Poirrier who's out of town, Fr. Brady makes is debut on the podcast. He and John Ray talk about his call to the priesthood - which came later in life.
