Continuing with my theme for the month: Do what you can, Right Now! I'm going to be doing something that might seem especially difficult for a Professional Speaker, and especially a Radio Show Host. That is: Listen. There's a line from Michael Jackson's great song The man in the mirror where he asks Who am I to be blind... That's the inspiration for today's show, and to paraphrase a visual metaphor for radio I'm asking who am I to be deaf, not to hear him speak? Listen in today, and together we may all learn to hear.
Lions serve. It’s that simple, and it has been since 1917. Lions clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities, and the world. With Global Causes that include Diabetes, Vision, Hunger, the Environment, and now Childhood Cancer, Lions make a big difference in their communities. These Global Causes present significant challenges to humanity, and Lions believe it’s our turn to meet them. Every act of service, encouraging word or gift of generosity is all it takes to bring hope where it’s needed most.
