The purpose of The Radical Truth podcast is simple: we want to search out the radical nature of the truth as revealed in God’s Word, the Bible, and learn about Jesus our wonderful, loving Savior. We also want to learn on how to live out this radical faith that Jesus created. Each podcast is roughly 30 minutes and features the fiery teaching of Glenn Meldrum. At this point in our series on The Power of Faith we are digging into Hebrews 11, verses 32-38. This portion of Scripture gives us a wide variety of expressions of faith, with the ultimate purpose to help build our faith. God wants to do the miraculous through His people, but they must believe in who God is as He has revealed Himself and in His true and faithful Word.
We will look at three people who were commended for their faith in Hebrews chapter 11 and they are Moses, Gideon and Barak. We have here some very interesting and encouraging examples of courageous faith and these serve as examples for us.
We will finish up studying the great faith of Abraham as outlined in Hebrews chapter 11 and then we will begin looking at the nation-shaking faith of Moses. This is an awesome lesson.
Two pillars of the faith in the Old Testament are Noah and Abraham and we will look at both in this lesson. This is a faith challenging lesson.
In this lesson, which is part four in our study on The Power of Faith, we will begin digging into Hebrews chapter 11, which gives us the hall of persevering faith. This is a list of Old Testament saints that lived by faith and glorified God as a result.

God hasn't left this to chance; He has made the way that we can know His Word so we can know Him Who Lives Forever. He has given us His very words so that we can know and love Him--the One and Only God.
This begins a new series titled, "The Word of God." In this lesson we will lay out some foundational thoughts about the Word of God, which is a title that refers to both the Bible and to Jesus. We are to be a people that know Jesus as our Lord and Savior and who knows the Holy Scriptures that reveals to us who He is, what He has done, what He is doing and He will do in the future.

In part 5 in our series on Love, we will study four character traits of love, all of which are stated by Paul in the negative. At times it can be easier to define something by stating what it isn't, rather than what it is. The four character traits are that love does not envy, does not boast, is not proud and is not rude. We all need to listen to this lesson on true love and put it into practice.

Jesus called him the greatest prophet that ever was because he prepared the way for the promised Messiah to come to His people. Here is a powerful truth about revival; if there is no John the Baptist kind of people to prepare the way for the Lord to come to His people, then revival will be kept from the church and nation. The Lord is looking for men and women that will stand in the gap to be agents of revival. We are in desperate need of such saints.

The accounts in this wonderful, Spirit-filled and Spirit-inspired book wasn't given to us so we could merely look back to see what the Lord has done. He gave us these accounts to stir our faith so we can see the God of miracles working in our midst through signs and wonders and truly Spirit anointed preaching right now. May the Lord raise up men and women with the fire and anointing that Paul had, for we serve the same Almighty God.
Paul is on his way to Rome as a prisoner when the ship that was transporting him was caught in a hurricane. This is certainly an adventurous chapter in The Book of Acts and it contains some valuable truths that relate to us today.

We left Paul preaching in our last lesson to governor Festus, King Agrippa, his sister Bernice and some other people. In this lesson we will see how the conviction of the Holy Spirit became so intense that governor Festus interrupted Paul's message. This is an awesome account, so don't miss it.
The focus of this lesson is on Paul sermon to a crowd of nonbelievers that consisted of a king, a governor, military officers and city officials. There are some powerful truths that come out in this lesson.
We will study roughly two years in the life of Paul in this lesson. He was in jail in Caesarea under governor Felix, who was recalled to Rome to face charges of corruption. Festus became the new governor and Paul was left in prison by the departing Felix. Now that Festus was the new ruler, it doesn't take long for him to have to deal with Paul.
Paul's journey to testify before the Roman governor Felix is the focus of this lesson. We will see truth confronting lies and the power of a godly testimony.
Paul was being beaten by a mob of religious zealots, most of them didn't know what the disturbance was all about. The Romans saw the riot breaking out and the Tribune entered into the chaos to put an end to it. He ended up rescuing Paul. This lesson gets into this account of Paul and there are some wonderful lessons that we can learn from it.

Paul's persecution that breaks out against him in the Temple in Jerusalem is the focus of this lesson. This begins the long journey of persecution that eventually lead to his execution by Nero in Rome. We see in this account a total contrast between the compassion of Paul, a follower of the true Messiah, and the religious men that were filled with hate and self-righteousness. This is an exciting lesson.

This lesson begins by continuing the account of Paul's visit with the elders of Ephesus. Here we will get a look at the profound love they had for each other. From there the pace picks up as we follow Paul's journey from Miletus to Caesarea, which was the port city for Jerusalem. There are some wonderful truths that we will dig into in this lesson, so don't miss it.
Paul is spending some time in a neighboring city to meet with the elders of Ephesus. This would be the last time he would see their faces in this life, so it was an emotional visit. Listen to this man of God's appeal to those church leaders because he was pouring out his heart to give them some final admonishments. This is a good, practical lesson that is also very challenging.
Acts chapter 20 opens with Paul leaving Ephesus after Demetrius, a silversmith that manufactured idols, had started a riot in an effort to silence Paul either by death, imprisonment or expulsion from the city. The silversmiths had taken a major decline in their income from the sale of idols because of the revival that swept the city after Paul began preaching the Gospel. After Paul left Ephesus he made his way to Corinth, Greece for a third visit. After this be began heading to Jerusalem, hoping to arrive by the Feast of Pentecost. As we follow Paul's journey to Jerusalem we see a man who loves Jesus with his entire being and loves people compassionately.
In the portion of Acts 19 that we are studying we will see the results of authentic revival that took place in Ephesus and the persecution that came about because of it. This is a powerful lesson, and the truths found in it, we need to apply to our lives.
The main account in this lesson is extremely interesting. Paul goes to Ephesus and during his time there seven sons of a man named Sceva started a business casting demons out of people. Their business takes an interesting turn that the seven brothers weren't expecting and the Lord used it in a marvelous way.
We will meet in this lesson Apollos, who was a dynamic preacher that effectively ministered to fellow Jews by proving that Jesus is the promised Messiah. We will also see what happens when Paul, on his third missionary journey, ends up in Ephesus. This is a powerful account that we need to understand how it applies to us.
In this portion of Acts we will find Paul ministering in Corinth. He stays there for roughly two years and has much fruit from it. Yet in spite of his powerful ministry opposition arose and the people were hindered by unbelief. There are some powerful lesson we will go over in this study.

The last thing Jesus said before He died on the cross was "It is Finished." This sermon is an examination into what Jesus meant by that statement. It's a powerful truth that can profoundly impact our lives if we let it. In this lesson we will examine the sad event of Paul and Barnabas being separated from each other as missionary companions. We will see the reason why this happened and how the Lord blessed Paul as he lead his missionary team into continental Europe.
This lesson from Acts 15 is about the first church council that convened to settle a major dispute that rose up in the early church. This is an important event because it shows how the early church dealt with problems, and by working through them, were able to clarify what is sound doctrine.
In this lesson we will study the revival that came to Lystra and the persecution that broke out, where Paul was stoned to death. Some believers gathered around him and he came back to life. Then Paul and Barnabas went to Derbe and the revival spread through that city. The two apostles then traveled to their home church in Antioch, Syria. This was a very exciting time for Paul and Barnabas.
Paul and Barnabas were forced to move their missionary work to Iconium because of persecution. In that ancient city in Asia Minor revival broke out, but eventually they were forced to leave there because of persecution. From there they went to Lystra and Derbe where the revival spread. In Lystra the Lord healed a man that was born a cripple and had never walked. Zeus was the patron deity of the city and the people thought that Barnabas was Zeus and Paul was Hermes. That made for one exciting meeting to say the least.
This is a continuation of the study examining the message Paul preached in a synagogue in Asia Minor. This was a soul stirring, mind shocking sermon that simultaneously produced authentic revival and persecution. This happened in Antioch of Pisidia and this is where a major change came to the missionary work of Paul and Barnabas. Don't miss this teaching.
This is the very interesting account of the confrontation between Paul and Elymas, a sorcerer. This lesson also includes the account of the missionary team going from Cyprus to Asia minor where Mark abandons the brothers to go back to Jerusalem. This is a very challenging lesson.
This lesson begins looking at Paul's first missionary journey. We will see his call to the mission field, along with Barnabas, and how that came about,. They will take with them John Mark, who is said to be the author of the Gospel of Mark. How people are called by God and what that looks like will be included in this study.
This is the account of the apostle Peter's miraculous escape from prison. It's an exciting, humorous and tragic story. It's also one that is sure to stir your faith, so don't miss it.
The portion of Scripture we will be looking at will cover a few events. First, we will look at Barnabas, who was used of God to minister in Antioch, Syria. He then seeks after Paul who is in Tarsus and Barnabas takes him to Antioch where they labor together for a year of fruitful ministry. A prophecy was given that famine was coming to Judah and Barnabas and Paul took an offering to those who were suffering. During this time Herod Agrippa murdered James, the brother of John, whom Jesus called the Sons of Thunder. Herod then arrested Peter and put him in prison. A big surprise was coming, for the king didn't take into account the power of a praying church that would upset all his plans. There are some powerful truths that we will dig into in this lesson, so don't miss it.
The repercussions of some Gentiles, or non-Jews, becoming followers of Messiah sent shock waves through Israel and into other nations. Peter went to Jerusalem to give his testimony about how those Gentiles came to Christ without first converting to Judaism. The evidence Peter gave was that they had not only converted to Christ, but had been baptized in the Holy Spirit like the 120 disciples experienced on the Day of Pentecost. What was the evidence that proved they had been baptized in the Holy Spirit? They spoke in other tongues. This is a really interesting lesson.
This lesson is about the conversion of Cornelius and all those who were at his house to hear what Peter had to say to them. As Peter was preaching to them they were all baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues. This is an exciting message and shows us what God wants to do today in baptizing people in the Holy Spirit. God is alive and well and He is still doing miracles and baptizing people in the Holy Spirit!
This lesson is on the extremely important story of how the Lord opened the door for salvation to come to Gentiles, or non-Jews. This is far more radical that we can understand from our modern culture. We get to see how important it is to obey the Lord, even when we don't understand what He is doing. He will do great things through those who trust and obey.
We will finish studying Acts chapter 9, which ends with the second account of Peter being used to perform a miracle while on a preaching tour. This time it is a woman being raised from the dead. We will then look at the powerful impact miracles have in bringing people to salvation. Then we will begin looking at chapter 10, which is extremely important in the life of the church since it records how the Lord opened the door for the salvation of Gentiles or non-Jews. This is a great message, so don't miss it.
We are in the portion of Acts chapter 9 that goes into Paul's actual conversion and what that looked like. Salvation not only comes through Christ alone, but there is only one kind of salvation and we see this lived out in Paul. He was a New Testament believer. It is of the utmost importance that we return to the Biblical model of salvation and forsake America Christianity that by and large is a perversion of the real thing. The podcast will end looking a Peter being used to heal a lame man. This is a good lesson.
The portion of Acts chapter 9 that we will be studying will bring us to the point where Saul, whom we know by his Greek name Paul, is brought to the brink of salvation. This is an exciting story and a powerful example of the work of the Holy Spirit that we need in the church today.

Simon the sorcerer is the topic of this lesson. He was a man that had great demonic power, but when he saw the signs and wonders the Lord was doing through Philip, he got saved and baptized in water. When Peter and John went to Samaria to help Philip with the revival, Peter rebuked Simon for wanting to buy the gift of God. This is a very interesting message.
In this lesson we will focus upon the revival that was taking place in Samaria under the ministry of Philip. He was a layman who was one of the first seven deacons. This is an encouraging and challenging study.
We will finish studying the life and martyrdom of Steven. This is a soul-stirring account that gives us a good view of the Biblical faith. Then we will begin looking at another of the first deacons of the church who was a true radical for Jesus.
We will continue studying Peter's first sermon after Christ's death, resurrection and ascension into heaven, This is a fiery message that was anointed by the Holy Spirit as is proved by the tremendous results it produced. Peter's first sermon after Jesus rose again is the subject of this lesson. This happened on the Day of Pentecost and the first thing he did was to explain what happened with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Then he told the large crowd what Jesus did for them and then exposed their guilt so that they might come to repentance. This is a great sermon to study.

We are now fully immersed in Christ's resurrection. There are two accounts that we will spend some time studying in this lesson. The first is the role some prominent women played in announcing our Lord's resurrection. And second, how the resurrected Savior revealed Himself to two disciples. This is a wonderful portion of Scripture to study.

This is the 500th lesson for The Radical Truth Podcast. This one comes out of Luke 21 and is about Christ's second coming. There are five prophetic verses in this chapter that deals with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans, which happened in 70 AD. This was 40 years after Jesus made this prophesy. This is a soul-stirring message to help believers live ready for our Lord's soon return.

In the opening of this lesson we will look at what Jesus meant by a "house of prayer." Then we will begin digging into chapter 20 of Luke's Gospel. The first event that happened was about some religious leaders that asked Jesus "by what authority are you doing these things." These things refer to Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem and His cleansing the Temple. This will give us a glimpse at the radical, yet loving Savior.
We are now at the point where Christ's ministry changes from ministering to the people outside of Jerusalem to the final days of His life where He ministers in Jerusalem. The two events we will examine are His triumphal entry into Jerusalem and His cleansing of the Temple by driving out those who were getting rich off the faith by exploiting the people. This is a good lesson.
We find Jesus still in the home of Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector. Zac had repented of his sin and vowed to give half of his wealth to the poor. After this Jesus gave The Parable of the Ten Minas, which is what we will study in this lesson. This parable contains some important truths that are essential to all those who want to make heaven their eternal home.
The first account in Luke chapter 19 is about the conversion of Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector. In this true story we see clear evidence that salvation broke into his life by the repentance that was clearly demonstrated. This is the story of the rich man who said "Yes" to Jesus.

We are beginning Luke chapter 16. It starts with the Parable of the Unjust Steward that's a challenging parable to understand. Yet if we pay close attention to what Jesus is teaching, and how it relates to the parable, all of a sudden it becomes easier to understand. What Jesus is teaching here is very radical so don't miss this lesson and the good it can do you.
We will finish studying the Parable of the Prodigal Son and chapter 15 in this lesson. This will include the father's response to his prodigal son's repentance, which had some profound meanings. Then we dig into the elder brother's reaction to learning that his wayward brother had returned home after living a wild life. The elder brother wasn't happy that the father put on a celebration for this young rebel. There are some powerful truths to glean from this message.

As we are nearing the end of our study in Luke chapter 12, Jesus warns us that there is a day of judgment. He did this out of love; for true love warns of the dangers we face. The Lord goes on to talk about His coming suffering and of the radical nature of the true faith. Jesus said in verse 49, “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” This is the heart of God for His people, so it would be good for us to learn what this means. Don't miss this lesson.
In Luke 12:31 Jesus gave us the command to seek His kingdom. In the verses we are studying in this lesson, Jesus elaborated on what it means to seek Him and His kingdom above everything and everyone. What He taught is foundational to living out the Biblical faith, so it is of great importance that we know these truths.
In this lesson we will continue studying what Jesus has to say about worry. We will also look at the Savior's remedy to this expression to unbelief. The answer is far more obvious then we might think because we are prone to look for complicated answers to what is actually spiritual problems. In this lesson we will finish Luke chapter 10 by studying the time Jesus went to the home of Martha and her sister Mary. There is are some very powerful lessons that we can learn from this event. Then we will begin examining the first verse of chapter 11 that will take us into the important subject of prayer.
This lesson is on the Parable of the Good Samaritan, which is a very radical parable that Jesus gave to a religious man that wasn't right with God.

As Jesus was passing through Samaria He was rejected by a village. James and John were so angry they wanted Jesus to call down fire on them and consume the entire village. This is an interesting account that exposes the anger and prejudice that can be us and that we must get victory over it. This account leads into the next event where Jesus had a brief conversation with three men. We will only begin looking at this account. There is some good stuff in this study.
Pride verses humility is a central theme in this lesson. The disciples were having an argument about who was the greatest among them. Then John and some other disciples were forbidding a man from casting out demons in the name of Jesus. In both cases Jesus teaches the disciples what if means to to be one of His followers. This is a challenging teaching.
The account we will study in this lesson happened right after Christ's transfiguration when He came out of the mountain with Peter, James and John. The disciples not could cast the demon out of a boy, so the father waited for Jesus to return, not knowing how long that would be. When Jesus returned to the disciples camp, He was immediately plunged into ministering to the people. That's when the desperate man begged Jesus to cast the demon out of the boy, and that is what Jesus did.
Christ's transfiguration is the topic of this lesson. There are some powerful truths to be gleaned from this historical account, so don't miss it.
The theme of this lesson can be simply stated as "The Cost of Discipleship." Anyone that wants to be a follower of Jesus must understand what the Lord is teaching in the verses we are studying. These truths are so important that our eternal destiny hangs upon what we do with them.

After this we will begin looking at the account of a sinner woman that seeks after Jesus who was eating at Simon the Pharisees house.
We will study in this lesson what Jesus said to a couple of John the Baptist's disciples that were sent by the great prophet to inquire if Jesus was the promised Messiah. Then we will see what Jesus said about John after the prophet's disciples left to tell John what they saw and heard. There are some wonderful truths in this lesson.

Jesus said in Luke 6:39, “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?” What does it mean to be spiritually blind and what are the consequences? Equally as much, what does it mean to have spiritual eyes to see the truth and to know Him Who is the Truth? We will dig into these questions and others besides as we study the last eleven verses of the sixth chapter of the Gospel of Luke.

The first event was His circumcision and the second was His dedication in the Temple in Jerusalem along with Mary's purification. There are some practical principles that come out in this lesson that will help anyone who wants to be a follower of Jesus.

We will then look at what happens when these two women of God meet and how the Lord is glorified through it. There is a lot of good and exciting theology in this lesson, along with the hope of Christ coming into the world.
As we study the Christmas story in this lesson we will look at what happened to Zechariah when the angel Gabriel visited him. Then we will study Mary's response to Gabriel's greeting. There is a big contrast between the two and some good lessons to be learned.
