10.12.25 The Gospel Unleashed Week 7- Acts 9:32-11:18 (Selected Texts) Pastor Doug Seletzky
07.20.25 Turning Point Week 8- 1 Samuel 18 and 20 (Selected Texts) Pastor Doug Seletzky
Do you have Gospel eyes? When the winds of change blow, and you feel out of control, do you have Gospel eyes? When you are hospitalized, or struggle with episodic depression, do you have Gospel eyes? When interpersonal conflicts rise up unexpectedly, do you have Gospel eyes? And when you get the promotion you've been waiting for, or you meet the love of your life, do you have Gospel eyes? 1st Corinthians is a letter written to a newly formed church that had problems, a church not so different from us today. Christians face problems and struggles, but the beauty of this letter lies in the way the Apostle Paul addresses the problem. He applies the Good News of Jesus' death and resurrection to every area of life. In essence, he had "Gospel eyes." The Gospel had so permeated his perspective that his pen poured out “new sight” for a church desperately in need of light and vision. As we read through this letter together, I pray we will begin to see our lives and circumstances in a fresh, new way... with Gospel eyes of our own.
