This is a true story series that shares the personal details of one person named Cindy Deering. Cindy is a mother of two and now lives in Chattanooga, TN. Now that her children are grown and on their own, she has started to reflect on her life and process the hardships and abuse of her childhood that she ran away from for so long. Cindy starts at the beginning from small details she can remember and the trauma of the abusive situation she grew up in. Her mother provided an unstable home life, full of deep wounds. As Cindy relives different chapters of her life she starts to work through the past to reveal to herself how she actually survived each overwhelming event in her life. We all have our own journey of failure, faith, hope, despair, strength, guilt, and rising from the ashes. Each podcast will tell a small section of how Cindy's life lead to success, motherhood, broken marriages, escape, homelessness, back to success.
Transformation is about facing childhood trauma. What behaviors do we display if those traumas go on not being faced and how they play out in our behavior towards others? Let's discuss it now!

How Covid-19 changed the radio show and interviews. Pre-Covid there was networking and then it changed to loneliness. However, good has come from it and now we are able to podcast.

I started out not processing with what was happening in life and at some point I had to step up. I tried to process my childhood trauma in my early 30's then married and two young children but it did not seem to help. I found myself spinning my wheels with no changes happening.

I am in an unfamiliar territory with just learning what real love is. Looking back I see the gaps in what could have been more successful personal relationships now that I can reflect on my mistakes and what I was seeking was so unhealthy and if I knew what real love was I could have built a better life with someone that was healthy.

Sometimes I have to follow my heart and not the order of the way it was written. We make plans but to follow that order does not seem authentic to me.

What path I took once I had been off the streets. What it took for me to go back to the places I needed help from when I was homeless and how it all came full circle.

Being homeless stripped me of my value and I lived in some fear. It was hard to continue when I thought I needed to be rescued and anyone that could help me was in Texas when I was in Tennessee.

I was officially homeless living out of my truck and had not idea what I was going to do and scared to sleep in my truck for safety reasons.

Understanding where I came from helps me to see what the mission is and why I am aimed to help people. I know the unhealthy balance of personalities and mental illness played into my relationships and my divorce.

How the way I grew up lead me to seek the same type of love in adult dating relationships. I did not see that getting into a relationship with my ex-husband was not good. I was attracted to that type of love that I had learned from childhood. We had to start moving from Texas to the Southeast for my husband's job and how it changed me.

How to overcome the lack of love that I had growing up. I knew that I was a survivor due to my past but I could not process it at the time. At this time I still held my abusive mother in high regard.

Early years of knowing that I was not loved. The abuse and mental illness was a cycle and passed from generation to generation. Looking back at the lack of my mother's abilities I am not sure what caused her to be the way she was.

Middle school years moving from town to town in Texas and we were often not registered in school because we moved so often from one relationship to the next that my mom would find with different men.

Childhood continued... the story ramps up when my mom gets a divorce from my step-father. This lead to me running away. Sometime I cannot remember where my younger sister was when I was often left alone. We were neglected and let without food or supervision.

Cindy have had the opportunity to processing in real time things that are happening in her life. She has experienced real time revelations every time she share my story. To share you have to be vulnerable and open and that takes a lot of courage to be able to do. Each of our foundations of who we become all starts in childhood but not all of our childhoods are great foundations to start from .
It is time to tell my story about going from being homeless to being a local brand. It all started 3 years ago with getting on radio show.
