HOW HUMANOIDS WILL SAVE HUMANITY Former top Apple executive SANDRA ŠOŠKIÇ is the founder of humanoid labs. Her personal motto “go bold or go home” has defined her life, loves, failures, and successes. Listen in for a great founder/entrepreneur story as we jump into what, exactly, humanoid is…and how Sandra and her team are working to create an entirely new and innovative segment, one that embraces a new generation’s evolution away from comfortable (and toxic) conformity. Sandra makes a convincing argument that the more boldly we express ourselves, the richer the cultural tapestry we’ll weave together.

Born and raised in the Netherlands to Yugoslavian parents, Sandra rose to the top of the ad agency world, ultimately running Europe’s most prestigious ad agency, Tribal-DDB Amsterdam, before being poached by Apple to help overhaul its largest division (MarCom). Finding Apple an intriguing culture fit for empowered women, she left along with several of her favorite female powerhouses to launch humanoid.

OUR KIDS DESERVE A TRUSTED SPACE LORI WOODLEY is the founder of ALL IT TAKES, a non-profit that equips youth and educators with essential emotional intelligence skills to successfully navigate their lives and support their communities. Working alongside JUSTINE FISCHER (Outreach & Engagement Manager) and the rest of her team, they teach young people at critical life stages to practice empathy, compassion, initiative, responsibility, and purpose in order to create sustainable, positive outcomes.

In this episode, we talk with Lori and Justine about their mission and methods at All it Takes, as well as their brand-spanking-new film series “A Trusted Space: Meeting the Moment. ” This six-part docu-training series, accompanied by resources and training guides, aims to address the exhaustion, behavioral challenges and academic decline happening in the education system in order to turn this moment of crisis into an opportunity to foster resilience and healing in the lives of students.

The work Lori and Justine are doing isn’t just (ahem) academic. It applies in the real world in real time. Right here and right now. In fact, it can be applied immediately to the kids and students in your life and with life-changing results. This is practical education for teachers, parents, and students alike. Please please please spread the word to anyone you know with children who need a little extra love and support.

Boy Howdy, this is a wild and wooly episode! Activist RYAN THOMPSON takes us through the battle between homeless veterans and mega developers over the most valuable piece of property in the United States … which is a proxy battle between human dignity and those who would trample it for financial gain….and from there into subjects and information that you have every right to wonder about. Things like illegal body part harvesting, the UCLA "meth to vets" program, MK Ultra mind control and much more. This is, on the surface, a very different episode of NICE WORK! but really, at the core, it's the same as the others -- how true passion for important work makes the world a nicer place.

For those who don't read blocks of text, here's the bullet version:

Cam Bertrand joins us in Episode 28 of NICE WORK! In learning about Cam and his path, we’ll take yet another look at someone who has turned their passion into a successful career. Cam started going after comedy and writing full time at the age of 19 and immediately advanced to the Semi-Finals of Florida's Funniest competition. He then went on to win the Side Splitters Comedy Tournament beating out 64 other comedians. and ended up becoming the youngest comedian to record his own DryBar comedy special (check it out on the YouTube where it has over 8 million views).

He has performed at some of the most prestigious comedy festivals in the country including the Laughing Skull festival in Atlanta (twice), Laughing Devil in New York, and The World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas. In 2018, Cam was a contributing writer on Seasons 11 & 12 of MTVs hit show, 'Wild'N Out'. In 2019, Cam Bertrand became the youngest comic to win the Florida's Funniest competition, beating out over 300 comics, previous winners include Daniel Tosh, Bert Kreischer, and JB Ball. Cam has already worked with some of the biggest names in comedy today including: Joe Rogan, Andrew Schulz, Bert Kreischer, Pete Davidson, Hannibal Buress, Michael Che, Josh Blue, and Mike Epps. KICKING SAND DOLLARS ALONG THE BEACH OF DESPERATION & LUXURY

Stuart Semple is an incredible artist ... one of the SNC's all-time favorites, in fact. If you don't know his name, odds are good that you'll recognize his work. About Stuart, Aidan Dune wrote:

"There is a real intelligence at the heart of his art. On the one hand he clearly embraces the throwaway, famous-for-15-minutes soundbite culture of celebrity and distraction. On the other, he stops it in its tracks, recasting its giddy imagery in the slow, fixed medium of paint. He might seem to celebrate it, but he actually doesn't quite trust the world of mass production and communications. His work implies a conviction that there is, or perhaps there better be, something genuine, something real, beyond the glam facade of throwaway culture."

Stuart is the nicest, sweetest guy. He's just so warm and with a mission to unite people, knockdown class barriers and just make people HAPPIER through art. he’s just might be our Super Nicest guest yet. I know you’re going to love him. So turn off everything else, tune out the rest of the world and drop in to NICE WORK! with Stuart Semple.

ALTERNATE TITLE: KEIKO & KAIN GET MARRIED

Rosalind Chao has over 130 acting credits. Some highlights include MAS*H, Star Trek Next Generation (Keiko O'Brien), Deep Space Nine, The Joy Luck Club, The OA, The OC, The Neighbors.. and on and on. Her most recent film is Disney’s incredible live-action MULAN, in which she plays Mulan’s mother.

Her husband Simon Templeman also has over a hundred credits, appearing in many television shows and movies. He's also played some VIDEO GAME characters over the years. Mass Effect, Legacy of Kain, Dragon Age, Blood Omen, World of Warcraft… all huge hits that wouldn’t have been the same without his aggressively intimidating pipes.

Anyway, the point is that Simon and Rosalind are successful actors. And they’re been successfully married for 30 years. And that’s super nice. And I wanted to kind of figure out the secret to their success as actors and as life partners. So that’s what we talk about. Or at least, that’s what we set out to talk about. He's not a normal loan officer. He's a cool loan officer.

Jeremy Forcier is a loan officer in Petaluma, California, but he’s far from an ordinary loan officer. He’s also a coach, a mentor, and someone who, more than most anyone I know, has learned how to learn. He coaches executives around the world, not just on business but also on finding happiness and purpose in their work.
