Have you ever felt the tension between expressing your truth and the fear of hurting others? Or perhaps you've found yourself avoiding deep connections in your relationships? It can feel vulnerable, uncomfortable, and even dangerous to assert your personal power by using your voice, setting boundaries, or sharing from your heart. But it is the truth that sets us free...

In this episode, Heather (that’s me!) shares personal experiences and transformative practices while inviting you into an intimate journey of self relationship through exploration of where you feel tension and disconnection from yourself, life, and the world. She encourages you to tune into your body to recognize where you might be holding fear, judgment, or avoidance.

Through this insightful guided practice, you'll feel empowered to reclaim your truth and to show up authentically in the world. It is my hope that this message is helpful on your path to liberation and self-expression, leading to deeper connections, not just with yourself but with everyone around you.

P.S. You will hear my toddler in the background at times, and a few times I pause to talk to her. I left that part in here because I’m a mom, and this is my real life. Instead never getting this message out to you (bc I ain’t got time for editing), I choose to share authentically. Done is better than perfect - remember that with everything you do, especially what you create from your heart and soul. I know the people meant for this will appreciate it regardless 🫶🏼

Join me and Alexandra Mehl, an educator and advocate for children and health, to explore the crucial relationship between education, food, and overall well-being in a society that often promotes quite the opposite.

In this episode we discuss the importance of safe learning environments and addressing behavioral issues at their roots, including nutrition’s impact on the brain and body. There’s a lot jam-packed in this episode, but it’s so meaningful to connect the dots to understand where we can make improvements and impact on our children through the home, classroom, and community.

You’ll hear us touch upon the impact of socioeconomic influences on the availability of healthy options and how that influences children’s learning opportunities, as well as how educators are able to manage the unique energy of each individual child. As we look at the energy levels and variety of emotions that require attention in a classroom, it’s important to consider how nutrition and processed food affect children's health and learning ability.

Research shows the need for differentiated instruction (personal learning styles) as a means to nurture autonomy and self-efficacy in development in order to encourage innovative problem-solvers and free-thinkers, so our chat explores supportive options to evolve the home, community, and education system in that direction, as well as how educators can advocate for the humanitarian values that are often lost in this dystopian society.

This passionate conversation delves into the power of questioning societal norms and expectations, and the significance of intuition and personal connection for a better future. We hope this sparks inspiration for change, empowers listeners to ask questions and advocate for themselves and children, and ultimately ignites revolutionary shifts that support a generation of healthy, compassionate people and independent thinkers.

The power of great leaps (& leap years) 🌊 ✨From 2020 to 2024 was a major evolution for the collective world and many of us as individuals. As we reflect on the past 4 years and how we navigated the changes and experiences, I like to consider how we will look back to this moment of time in our lives from 4 years in the future. There is a profound wisdom to be held from that version of ourselves. What would we tell ourselves now to help us move towards where we hope to be then? Also, I shared one of my favorite stories about the time my best friend and I went on a roadtrip to Florida with my mom and her best friend to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We sailed out on a catamaran to go snorkeling in the open ocean one day, and we jumped off the side of the boat to get in the water. There were choppy, strong waves and it was a little intense, until….😊 you have to listen to the story to find out! This transmission is full of hopeful energy, magical perspective, and Friday fun. Stay awhile and fuel your passion for vision with my personal stories. If you have insights or stories you’d like to share, or simply enjoyed listening, I would love to hear from you in the comments! 🛳️

It’s been 8 weeks since I moved into my tiny home RV and so much progress has been made! This episode highlights the latest project updates and the wisdom that I’ve integrated throughout the process: the value of being present with every moment and how sometimes it’s necessary to slow down in order to speed up.

In this episode I share my WHY and HOW for choosing an RV trailer for minimalism living. People have been interested about my decision to move out of my luxury city apartment into my tiny home in the country, like how I did it and whether it was based on finances or other circumstances, but ultimately it’s for FREEDOM. I’ve actually wanted to make this transition for years, however every time my lease renewal came around, I unexplainably felt called to wait. Now it makes perfect sense because I probably wouldn’t have my baby girl if I’d done it sooner. My vision for this is to be in nature with open space to play and explore, cultivate gardens with fresh foods, connect with community, and be near my family (something that would’ve been more challenging until now). I’m so grateful to create a slower paced life of my own design and spend this quality time with my daughter. I can’t wait to share my adventure and the updates with you as we renovate it and make it our HOME!I’d love to hear if you have a similar dream, relatable experience, or any questions about mine. Drop them in the comments so I can respond there or in another episode!

Little steps go a long way. Despite what you might’ve heard (or experienced), making changes in your life to improve or transform your reality doesn’t have to be complicated. Hear me out, ok? Consider that anything you want to do, have, create, or become can be simplified into basic steps, each one moving you in the direction closer to your desired destination. You don’t even need all the details. Just know the step right in front of you. Honestly, it’s much easier to navigate this way vs. mapping everything out from start to finish. “Movement makes the path appear” is a motto I use all the time. Because the path is going to change along the way, anyway (as life goes, am I right? lol). That being said, movement with intention is powerful no matter where you are or what you’re facing in the moment. Awareness of what you want and aiming your choices towards that each day goes a long way to getting you there (further than staying stuck, wandering aimlessly, or being carried by the wind). Whether it’s a healthier lifestyle, better relationships, learning to love yourself and your body, building a career or business, paying off debts, healing from the past, or becoming a more peaceful parent… it’s possible for you, and it doesn’t have to be a massive overhaul on the struggle bus. It’s just one decision at a time. It’s consistent action with consideration of the outcomes you want to create. There are so many tools that can help you create lasting changes with more ease - to name a few: self-awareness, habit stacking and forming routines, adopting new mindsets, emotional intelligence, swapping self-sabotage patterns for a useful auto-pilot program (all of which I teach and support as a life coach, btw… holla!). It’s no secret that we all want to walk the path of least resistance, and ultimately this comes down to perspective. Life’s journey is filled with uncertainties, mysteries, and unexpected detours, but with the right point of view those can actually be shortcuts through the scenic route. You gotta be willing to focus, have faith and stay devoted to not give up on your dream. Whatever vision you have in your heart is yours for the making, but first it asks that you stop hesitating so you can start where you are - as who you are - with what you have - right now. Just point your feet in the intended direction and MOVE! Let each step, each day strengthen your understanding and confidence, then eventually you’ll look back at what seems like leaps and bounds that have catapulted you to exactly where you wanted to be, embodied as the person that truly walked the talk. You “faked it til you maked it”, as they say. Mastery of anything requires curiosity, learning, and practice - so… can you stay open and take a step (and another, and another) to have the experiences & create the life you want to have? Your adventures await you!

Speaking with intention is a love language. Communication is how we express ourselves, our needs and wants, and how we share information. It’s a huge part of the foundation of our human connection. It sets the tone for how we relate, build trust, learn, and even co-regulate our energy. Being such a key element to our personal interactions and intimate relationships, it's important to speak with intention. This episode explores how you can practice holding that space through self-aware presence and preparation to create more authentic, loving connections in your talking and listening.
