I don't know about you but wow these last 16 months has been a breeze.....said no-one ever!  Since April 2020 our 'normal' world ceased to exist and what a roller coaster we've all been on.

The highs, the brain farts, the meltdowns, home schooling, the studying while parenting while homeschooling (ahhhh!)!

This has been a tough gig for most people!!

We're now seeing the aftermath of this crisis in our young adults and kids.

Grab a coffee, let's chat!

***WARNING this episode we are discussing suicide and mental health in children

Alright you weirdos.....let's have it!  Do we love being a little odd or do we still have our hangups about it? I've got to say, I've never been the normal girl (Leah)  Yep I've had all the labels: weird, odd ball, quirky, black sheep, eccentric, strange and whatever else you want to add in there, throw it at me lol! Here's the thing, we want our daughters and sons to embrace who they really are, fly out of the nest being empowered and loving themselves right? You're not going to be everyone's cup of tea (or coffee keeping with our caffeine addiction) BUT it's important to know that you are made just right.  Yep with imperfections and with flaws but you've been designed and created with purpose. One of the biggest lessons we've both learnt as mamas is that not everyone is going to like you and that's ok.  The labels people put on you can either stick like mud and eat away at your confidence ORRRRR you take that label and allow it it become one of your best qualities. Grab a coffee, lets chat!

Gooosh since being a parent, adjusting is now just an every day thing! Ya gotta roll with the punches, bend with the corners, mould to your environment, get back on the horse.......ok I'll stop, you get the picture!

Maybe you're a late bloomer in realising that everything comes with an adjustment period so this one is for you!

We've had to get better at adapting quickly to changes and moving into the next so we keep our perspective positive and possibly to keep our sanity!

Jump into our convo about how this has worked for us personally and with our little peeps.  Grab a coffee, let's chat!

AKA Keep It Simple Stupid! Alrighty chillax haha, we didn’t just call you stupid however the idea is to keep things simple in life.

Have there been times when you’ve noticed that sometimes giving your kids ‘more’ in life actually works against you. You give more when they have enough, they expect more, more more more!

WHY why why do we have to overcomplicate things?!

Presents, toys, adventures, family life, clothes, dinners (listen to Leah’s little side note moment about dinner hehe) and the list could go on.

We’ve had some wake up moments in realising that we’re actually missing the most out of life when overcomplicate things or give things in excess.

Join us in a convo about how we’re learning to keep things simple and the benefits of it.  Grab a coffee, let’s chat!

You know those days where you're trying to fit everything in and please everyone? The limits are there but you still push them. You go to 2 parties on one night, turn up to everything you're "supposed" to. How about those dinner plans you should really cancel because your kids are so overtired and had no down time for a week so you'll be paying for it for the next week....... We know that you CAN do it all (cause you're an absolute superhero woman) but should you?  How do we know our limits as mamas and say no to the good things? Grab coffee, let's chat!

Ever heard the line “just” a mum??  It probably will either make you lol or clench your internal imaginary fist.  Probably followed up with "No no no no no, I think you may be mistaken with the word JUST.   JUST implies that it's not of too much importance or value.   And just in case you weren't aware.....You're a mama with a flippin capitol M!!!! AKA super hero.  AKA beast mode on 24/7, how do we know this?  Cause we too are "just mums". Our kids are our greatest achievement!  Did we just say that? Yep we did.  Why? What we give to our kids now will have a ripple effect for generations upon generation.  It starts from you valuing who you are and what you give to your kids.
