Let Holy Yoga Soul Care Mentor Kerry Tomberlin lead you through a quiet, relaxing yoga nidra based on Psalm 131:2.
Some people may wonder if it’s okay for Christians to do yoga. We believe the answer is yes! There is a misconception that yoga is a religion, but it’s actually a spiritual discipline (like meditation, prayer, fasting or worship). We believe that there is only one God, who exists for all eternity in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We use yoga as a way to connect – heart, soul, mind and strength, with God. Join Holy Yoga Founder, Brooke Boon, as she explores this idea.

Sabbath Devotional Meditation: Rest (Imaginative Prayer Meditation) by Holy Yoga Foundation

This meditation is led by Dianne Suozzo based on Ephesians 1:3-8 as part of Holy Yoga's Original Design Devotional series.
Fear is one of the primary reasons we have a death grip on our own identity. Because we are terrified of losing our lives by fully surrendering our identity and outcomes to God we make our needs and reputation paramount.
Our identity is rooted in relationship. Our journey to understand our place in the world begins at birth with our parents or caretakers, and as we grow expands to our friendships, coworkers, peers, etc. Only when we surrender our lives to Christ do we begin the process of owning our identity as sons and daughters of the King--beloved heirs, forgiven and free.
One clear indication that our hearts aren’t surrendered to God’s holiness is a resistance toward serving others. Identifying ourselves as “the least of these” can only come through radically transforming power of the Holy Spirit through willingness to follow Jesus and not lead our own lives.
Our place in the kingdom is far more mysterious than we’ll ever know this side of glory. We may think we understand the scope and significance of our calling but it’s vastly more rooted in the unseen than the seen.
The Word of God is an essential part of every single day to relocate our identity in Christ. It is far more than benign words on a page; Hebrews 4:12 reminds us it is “alive, active and moving; sharper than double-edged sword; piercing the divide between soul and spirit, joints and marrow . . .” (Hebrews 4:12, The Voice).
