A scripture story podcast for toddlers and preschoolers. Created by parents, each 10-minute episode tells gospel lessons in an engaging and simple way. Sunbeam follows the Come, Follow Me curriculum of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This week we learn about the bravery of Daniel and his friends, taken captive into Babylon to serve King Nebuchadnezzar.
Isaiah teaches us that as we center our lives on the Savior, we can experience lasting peace, find love for those around us, and increase in our desire to serve others!
This week we learn about Isaiah's prophecies of the latter-days. Joseph Smith, the Restoration of the Gospel and the Book of Mormon!
This week we get to start learning about Isaiah. The Lord gave Isaiah a really important prophetic vision to help him understand the things to come. It's so wonderful that we have a living prophet today to help us prepare for the future!
This week we learn about some incredible words of wisdom from some of the wisest people from Bible times. Know who else is super wise? Your parents!
This week we learn about the amazing Psalms. We can learn so much and relate so well to these simple principles and truths.
2 Kings 17-25
This week we learn about the scattering of the Lost 10 tribes and some of the Kings who lead Israel through their challenges.
This week we learn all about Elisha. He performed some incredible miracles as he went about serving the Lord.
This week we learn all about the prophet Elijah and the miracles that are possible when we have faith in the Lord and his servants.
The Kings of Israel were great and wise in many ways. But they also made some mistakes. When we sin and choose not to repent. We can lose the blessings of our covenants. David and Solomon remind us of this truth.
The Israelites really wanted Samuel to appoint a King over them as he got older. The Lord provided two great men as the first kings of Israel including one very familiar young man.
Our stories this week teach us a lot about some really faithful heroes in the Old Testament. Ruth was such a faithful hard-worker that she blessed the lives of many generations! Hannah received answers to her prayers and Samuel became the first prophet in many years.
We have some really crazy stories this week! What lessons can we learn from Deborah and Delilah?
We missed a few weeks but we are back and the Israelites are still journeying to the Promised Land. The Lord gives some commandments to help the Israelites become his Covenant people.
So far in the Old Testament we have learned about a lot of prophets and their stories. From Adam to Joseph to Moses there are lessons and symbols of the Atonement. Let's learn about a few!
Finally Pharaoh has allowed the Israelites to leave but the challenges aren't over yet! How can the people of Israel escapes the Egyptians chasing them with a giant sea in front of them?
Exodus 7-13
The Lord through Moses and Aaron commands Pharaoh to let the Israelite slaves go. When he refused, the Lord sent 10 different plagues to show Pharaoh His power and force him to obey.
This week we meet little baby Moses!! His story starts out with a lot of danger but it's all part of his journey to become a great prophet.
This week there is a pretty wild family reunion in the house of Israel. Joseph helps his brothers get some food during the 7 years of famine but not without testing them a little.
Genesis 37-41This week we meet Joseph, Jacob's favorite son. His brothers didn't like that very much and Joseph's store turns into quite an adventure.
This week we get to learn all about Rebekah and the story of Jacob and Esau. Such interesting scripture stories can teach us so much about life today!
The dramatic story of Abraham and Isaac. After Abraham and Sarah finally were blessed with a child, Isaac was almost taken from them.
This week we learn about the Lord's amazing covenant with Father Abraham. He received so many amazing promises!!!
Oh boy. This is a big episode about the biggest flood ever. The story of Noah and the Ark is really sad in some ways but can also bring us a lot of hope. What can we learn from this story?
The City of Enoch must have been an amazing place. This episode we explore how Enoch went from being nervous about a new calling to being the prophet who led his people straight to heaven!

This week we pay tribute to the Martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith, two brothers who sacrificed everything for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This week we learn all about Joseph's prophecies of the Second Coming. That will be such an exciting day!
This episode focuses on the Doctrine and Covenants Sections that were written down by William Clayton. He was really good a keeping a journal and wrote down many of Joseph Smith's important teachings!

After a revelation of upcoming war last week, now the Lord has revealed the Olive Leaf, a revelation of peace. Where can we find peace?
This week we learn all about Frederick G. Williams. One of the prophet Joseph Smith's counselors. And we learn how the commandments the Lord gives and the blessings He promises to Frederick in the Doctrine and Covenants apply to us as well!
This episode teaches us about how even adults are really just children to Heavenly Father. Everyone on Earth has so much to learn about the Gospel.
Joseph and Sydney Rigdon have a Vision of the Plan of Salvation. The Lord reveals greater understanding of the three kingdoms of glory.

While translating the Book of Mormon, Joseph and Oliver come across a passage that talks about being baptized by immersion by someone with authority. After praying about it, John the Baptist visits them to restore the Aaronic Priesthood and give the the authority to baptize.

Finally, Joseph is able to start translating again. The Lord reveals that Joseph SHOULDN'T translate the lost 116 pages of the manuscript because some evil men are going to try and trick people.

Let's talk about Faith! In this episode, Alma spends time teaching the poor Zoramites who have been kicked out of the synagogues because they aren't rich. Alma teaches them that we don't need to be inside of a church or synagogue to worship God. We anywhere and at any time.
Alma also teaches the Zoramites about faith and how we develop strong testimonies like a small seed growing into a strong plant and bearing fruit.

Alma has a run-in with the Anti-Christ Korihor. After contending with Alma, Korihor is struck dumb and admits to spreading falsehoods. Afterwards, Alma travels to Antionum to teach the Zoramites and is surprised and dismayed at their wickedness.

The Lamanites taught by the sons of Mosiah who have converted to the Lord are persecuted and driven out of their lands. They change their name to the "Anti-Nephi-Lehies and bury their weapons of war then escape to the land of Jershon where the Nephites protect them from Lamanite attackers.

Ammon served a mission to the Lamanites, and before he does any teaching, he does a whole lot of service. He uses his priesthood power to bless the house of Lamoni, and the king takes notice. He becomes converted and Abish spreads the word to the wider population. She bravely adds her testimony to Lamoni's, the queen's, Ammon's and all the servants' and many Lamanites are baptized!

Alma and Amulek continue teaching the people of Ammonihah, but overall their teaching is not well received. They miraculously escape prison and continue their ministry in Shilom, where they are pleased to find an old acquaintance from Ammonihah who needs their – and the Lord's – help.

The grand beginnings of an incredible missionary duo, Alma and Amulek take Ammonihah. While contending with Zeezrom, the pair teach us about Salvation and God's plan for all of us to reach it!

Mosiah institutes the reign of the judges with Alma the Younger as Chief Judge I. He judges Nehor for murdering Gideon. Amlici leads a rebellion against the Nephites and they eventually join with the Lamanites in battle against Alma and the armies.

Alma has a son named Alma who is numbered among the unbelievers. He and four of the sons of Mosiah are going about trying to destroy the church. Everything changes when an angel stops them in their tracks and Alma the Younger lies unconscious for days.

Noah abandons his people and they fall into captivity under the Lamanites. The priests of Noah capture and marry Lamanitish women. The people of Alma escape to the land of Helam but are captured by the Lamanites. Through faith and repentance, the Lord helps both groups of people escape to Zarahemla.

Abinadi is called of God to bring King Noah and his wicked priests to repentance. He boldly teaches them the doctrine of Christ, the Ten Commandments and about the plan of salvation. Only one priest, Alma listens and escapes to continue Abinadi's work.

The Book of Mormon prophet after Nephi was Nephi's little brother, Jacob. Jacob spent his life teaching the Nephites and he taught some really important lessons. Jacob covered everything from faith to family and everything in between.

Nephi was a big fan of another prophet who lived before him: Isaiah. Nephi thought Isaiah's words were SO important that Nephi actually copied down some of Isaiah's teachings on the gold plates so we could read them in the Book of Mormon. One of the things Isaiah taught a lot about was the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This episode talks about what that means and why we should be looking forward to the Millennium.

As prophet, Nephi called his little brother Jacob to be a teacher and leader of the Nephites. In this episode, we talk about the first things Jacob teaches: the Resurrection, the Atonement and the joy of gospel living.

At this point, Lehi's family has been in the promised land for several years. Lehi gathers his family together to teach them some important truths about the Plan of Salvation. He talks about the importance of agency and how choosing righteousness will bring us happiness and blessings. Not long after, Nephi takes his family and friends and leaves the camp of Laman and Lemuel who just refuse to accept Nephi's teachings. The Nephites build a temple and live in righteousness.

This week we'll talk about the Liahona, an incredible tool the Lord sent to guide the family, what happens when Nephi breaks his bow and the family doesn't have any food, and how they crossed the sea to get to the promised land.

Lehi had a remarkable vision, but Nephi wanted to understand it and know for himself it was true. While praying and pondering, Nephi was blessed with an amazing vision himself! He was shown the things Lehi saw, and an angel explained their meaning. But that's not all – Nephi also saw the birth and life of Christ, His apostles and the Book of Mormon.

The first Book of Mormon prophet, Lehi, is commanded to leave Jerusalem with his family. Not long after leaving, the Lord commands Nephi and his brothers to go back to Jerusalem to get the Brass Plates from Laban. It takes a lot of faith, bravery and some smart thinking to do what the Lord asked.
