Michiel Bartman is a Dutch national who competed at three different Olympic Games, winning an Olympic medal at each game. He emigrated to the United States after the 2004 Athenes Olympic Games to start coaching professionally. Peter J. Hotez, M.D., Ph.D. is Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine and Professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine where he is also the Co-director of the Texas Children’s Center for Vaccine Development (CVD) and Texas Children’s Hospital Endowed Chair of Tropical Pediatrics. He is also University Professor at Baylor University, Fellow in Disease and Poverty at the James A Baker III Institute for Public Policy, Senior Fellow at the Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs at Texas A&M University, Faculty Fellow with the Hagler Institute for Advanced Studies at Texas A&M University, and Health Policy Scholar in the Baylor Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy.
Dr. Hotez is an internationally-recognized physician-scientist in neglected tropical diseases and vaccine development. As co-director of the Texas Children’s CVD, he leads a team and product development partnership for developing new vaccines for hookworm infection, schistosomiasis, leishmaniasis, Chagas disease, and SARS/MERS/SARS-2 coronavirus, diseases affecting hundreds of millions of children and adults worldwide, while championing access to vaccines globally and in the United States. He is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Haley Skarupa - 2018 Olympic Gold Medalist and 3x World Champion. Rockville, MD native Skarupa helped Team USA win gold at the 2015, 2016 and 2017 World Championships as well as winning the gold medal at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Before winning an Olympic Gold Medal for Team USA in 2018, Haley scored 244 points in 144 games in college and is the second-highest scorer in Boston College history for both men and women. She is an NCAA All-American and was a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2015 and 2016, representing the NCAA’s top female hockey player.
As a Pro player in the NWHL, Skarupa was drafted 5th overall, scored 45 points in 34 games, and was named an All-Star in 2017 & 2019. She now serves as a hockey ambassador for the Washington Capitals, and plays in the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association, representing the New England region. She also works in Business Development for a Marketing Automation Software Company based out of Boston, MA called Klaviyo.

JAY STEINFELD founded and was the CEO of Blinds.com, the world’s number one online window covering retailer. Boot-strapped in 1996 for just $3,000 from his Bellaire, Texas, garage, Blinds.com was acquired by The Home Depot in 2014.
Jay remained as its CEO and later joined The Home Depot Online Leadership Team. After stepping away from these roles in early 2020, he teaches entrepreneurship at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business and has increased his involvement on numerous private company boards and serves as a director of the public company Masonite (NYSE: DOOR). Jonathan (Jon) B. Jarvis went from seasonal employee to Director of the National Park Service (NPS). He was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate as the 18thDirector of the National Park Service (NPS), serving for the entire Obama administration.
During his tenure, he led the agency through its Centennial, adding 22 new parks including those that recognize the contributions of women and people of color, achieved its largest budget in history, addressed climate change and raised over $400 million in philanthropic support.
He served for 40 years with the National Park Service as ranger, biologist and superintendent in national parks across the country. Retiring from the NPS in 2017, he became the Inaugural Executive Director of the Institute for Parks, People and Biodiversity at the University of California, Berkeley and now serves as Chairman of the Board.
He serves as the Chairman of the Editorial Board for the Parks Stewardship Forum, an online publication for conservation practitioners and as a steering committee member of the California Biodiversity Network. His most recent book, co-authored with Clemson Professor Dr. Gary Machlis, is “The Future of Conservation in America: A Chart for Rough Water”, from the University of Chicago Press.
Jarvis is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions including the National Recreation and Park Association’s Legend Award, Sierra Club’s Edgar Wayburn Award and Trailblazer Award, International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s Fred Packard Award and the American Alpine Club’s David R. Brower Conservation Award.
