Liz Hartman is the Founder of Swiatlo, a slow fashion brand crafted from Indian artisan textiles & repurposed materials. Liz earned her BFA in Fashion at Parsons in New York and worked as a pattern-maker, sample sewer, and technical designer at a variety of established brands including Kenneth Cole and Ralph Lauren's Club Monaco.
Liz traveled to Ahmedabad in 2016 seeking deeper meaning in clothes-making and fell in love with the acts of devotion and respect for ecology intrinsic to the making of Indian craft textiles. After starting Swiatlo, Liz settled in India to work closely with the amazing tailors, printers, and NGOs who breathe life into her work.

Joshua Wiley is an army officer, educator, engineer, and outdoors enthusiast. Having attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point from 2006-2010 as a cadet who was first nominated by Barack Obama, he has since leveraged time in company command, on deployments/rotations to Afghanistan, Romania, and South Korea, and in learning and research at Stanford to hone practical applications of leadership and scholarship to return to West Point. There, he is educating and inspiring the current generation of cadets as an instructor in Environmental Science and Engineering.
Joshua has a passion for teaching and for environmental stewardship and relishes bringing to life issues of food and water scarcity, climate change, and water treatment technologies in vibrant classroom discussions. Fatima Al Qubaisi is the first Emirati woman to graduate from Harvard Law School. Al Qubaisi spent one year in the United States, earning a Master's Degree at the Ivy League school. Fatima was interested in law ever since she joined the Model United Nations when she was 12 years old. She enjoyed being able to conduct research on whichever country she was representing and defend the beliefs and core values of that country (well politically), even if she did not agree with them.
Prior to joining Harvard, Al Qubaisi received her undergraduate degree in law and political science at the Paris-Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi. Fatima is currently working on an NGO to help defend women's rights in the UAE.

Blair Glencorse is leading a movement for accountability and integrity around the world through the Accountability Lab. The Lab works in communities to make governments more accountable and to open-up civic space- using the arts, media, culture and technology. Blair and his team have done everything from helping to found the first film school in Liberia to monitoring and improving public services in Pakistan to running a global TV show called Integrity Icon to “name and fame” honest government officials. The Accountability Lab recently won the UN’s International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award. Hirushi is a musical artist based in Sri Lanka. Hirushi sang her way up to where she is now, since the age of six. She always loved singing songs deriving from many genres and cultures including English, Sinhalese, and Hindi. She received award nominations for her work and associated video productions at Derana Music Video Awards and Sumathi Awards, which were her prime reinforcements.
Hirushi along with her best friend found the “Stepping Stones” charity group in 2014 in order to initiate projects to support the educational journey of economically deprived children. They conducted various teaching programs, donations, and awareness on the importance of education to alleviate social trauma. In this episode, Hirushi talks about her hybrid singing style, the importance of human element in arts and her initiative around education in Sri Lanka.
