This week we did more discussion than sermon to help unpack all the content of Revelation 3.
Revelation 1 The book of Revelation is less about the end of the world and more about how to live faithfully in a world that offers us power and wealth and security if only we would bend a knee or turn a blind eye to people and methods that look nothing like Jesus. I think it’s urgent we relearn this message because the way of empire is baked into our bones and systems and, yes, churches. And, as Revelation will show, the way of the empire is incompatible with the way of Jesus.
The Spirit of God comes in wind and fire to do a new thing. Could that same Spirit be at work today?
