Season Six is all about finding opportunity in adversity, recorded between week 5 and 6 of UK lockdown during the global pandemic, I chat to female business owners about how they have adapted their businesses, and how they have found opportunities during these changing times.

It’s my hope that you’ll find little pieces of inspiration within each conversation - from how we approach our working lives, to the journey within that this time has encouraged many of us to take.

I chat to Elle about getting over the initial panic of losing all work, finding new revenue streams and learning to be comfortable in your own skin.

Episode 50, the last in this season, is all about ways in which we are showing up right now, whether that’s in our personal life or in business.

“Serve the world by being you. When you trust and follow the simple path of things that light you up, and then lose yourself in the doing, you’ll light up the world without even trying”.

How can you be showing up right now for yourself, before you show up for everyone else? How can you feed your own sense of wellbeing before tending to help others?

This week's topic is all about money mindset, and our attitude towards money. Do you tend to talk about money in negative terms? What is your attitude to spending money?

A money mindset is your unique and individual set of core beliefs about money and how money works in the world. It drives how you make financial decisions, and it can have a big impact on your ability to achieve your goals.

We explore how we can bring a more abundant way of thinking when it comes to money, and exploring our money stories, that impact our behaviour around money.

This week we’re chatting all things self-limiting beliefs - what they are, how to spot them, and how to find ways to move past them

It’s a taste of the kinds of things we’d be working on together through coaching - and it’s not always easy. You have to be ready to do some deeper work if you want to shift those negative, self-limiting beliefs that you know are holding you back. This is not surface work - but I do think that it holds the key to so many of our problems when it comes to running a business.

Cultivating an abundant mindset - abundant vs scarcity mindset and how we can practice to cultivate a more positive, abundant mindset in our businesses, and our lives

A mindset is our attitude towards something, and we can adopt an abundant mindset, or a scarcity mindset, depending on our upbringing and our environment, and the people we surround ourselves with. It’s no wonder that there’s a saying

‘You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.’

Abundance mindset - believing that there is enough to go around

Scarcity/lack mindset - the belief that there will never be enough, resulting in feelings of fear, stress, and anxiety. It’s believing that there’s only one pie to go around, and if someone has a slice, that means there’s less for you - your chances of even getting a slice are getting slimmer.

How can we practice to cultivate a more positive, abundant mindset in our businesses, and our lives? In this episode, I explore ways in which we can bring more of an abundant mindset into our lives.

I’d also love to take this opportunity to invite you to join me for a free 5 part email series all about cultivating an abundant mindset.

You can join us here. We start on Monday 24th February, but don’t worry - you can still sign up to receive emails after this date, too.

Manifesting what you desire

So what is manifestation? It’s a term that’s been doing the rounds lately, and so I wanted to take the time to explore the idea of manifestation, what it is, and how we can make manifestation work for us.

To manifest something, is to make it appear, to bring it forward, or call it in.

Imposter syndrome is something that comes up for almost all of us, at some point in our life. For some, it’s a constant feeling we have to battle with, for others, it comes and goes. Either way, it’s a term that’s becoming more widely used, particularly when it comes to female entrepreneurship.

I did a little bit of research, and one of the definitions for imposter syndrome, is this:

‘the inability to believe that one’s success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one’s own efforts or skills’; as well as

‘a collection of feelings of inadequacy that persist despite evident success’.

Is Imposter Syndrome something you struggle with? In this episode, I explore a couple of ways in which we can deal with Imposter Syndrome, and raise our awareness of when it comes up.

As a business owner, you're bound to know what it feels like when fear comes knocking on your door. So often, I hear women talk about their dreams, but always putting them off 'until they're ready', until they have done x, y and z first, or until they feel 'confident'. The truth is, there'll never be the right time, and you'll always want to do something else before you feel ready to take a step.

It's not possible to eliminate fear altogether, but we do have a choice about how we approach it. We can welcome the fear with kindness and compassion, hold space for it. We can get curious about it, too - what is it trying to show us?
