A church’s success isn’t measured by how many people attend, how much money is raised, it’s reputation in the public, or even it’s good works. Jesus’ perspective is the only one that matters, and the metric that he measures is love. Andrew Selley, visionary leader of Joshua Generation Church and Four12 Global, unpacks what it means to love one another enough to actually share our lives. People are afraid to let others in close enough to see who they really are, but you can’t truly love until you truly know. Genuine love is costly— it’s beyond friendliness and beyond hanging out with people we get along well with. But it is the most impactful way to reach people for Christ and build a church that reflects the heart of God. Peter builds upon his previous message, "How to Overcome Temptation," by outlining practical strategies to safeguard against sin. Using David's downfall as a cautionary tale, he emphasises the destructive consequences of hiding our sin and failing. It’s God's mercy that our sins are exposed, so that we are spared from doing further damage and further hardening our hearts. So we need to confess quickly, both to God and to a fellow believer, as encouraged in James 5:16. Peter shares practical advice on how to find the right accountability partner and to establish a lifestyle of living in the light.

We all face temptation. Harmless as it may seem— we drop our guard, we take something that isn’t ours, we use the easy way out, just this once— but giving in has serious consequences. In this message, Peter Klause, an elder at Joshua Generation Church in San Clemente, explores how we can be at risk of either underestimating the power of temptation and taking the bait, or becoming overwhelmed and giving up. But there's good news— God provides a way out! Find strength to overcome in Jesus, your ultimate escape route. He empathises with our struggles, advocates for us, empowers us to resist, and leads us to true freedom. We don't have to fight alone!

Ivan van Vuuren, elder in Joshua Generation Church in South Africa, asks us– what boat are we aboard? A self-serving pleasure cruise or a naval ship that’s moving with purpose? Ivan encourages us to be ready and equipped to make the time we have count for Jesus. He spurs us in our faith by sharing inspiring testimonies of miracles, healing, and encounters with the Holy Spirit. We can see these things in our lives as well if we commit to living boldly for the Lord, free of fear and limitations.

Would you say we are living in times of unprecedented spiritual favor? Brad Verreynne, lead elder of Oxygen Life Church in South Africa, makes that case in this message shared at Joshua Generation Church in San Clemente, CA.
The Bible is filled with God's promises. When we know the promises of God and believe that he is true to his word, the result should be a sense of unshakeable security and trust. We can walk free of anxiety, knowing he is our Good Shepherd, always with us, and his grace sufficient for any challenge. Now is the time to take hold of God’s promises, so we can stand against trials, the intimidation of the enemy, and self-doubt.

Look past the barriers that stand in your way and ask the Lord what does he see? When it seems like barrier after barrier in your way, you’ve got to see with eyes of faith. God’s got supernatural provision on the other side of the barrier, the kingdom is on the other side of the barrier, but you've got to give yourself in faith and live in the supernatural.
God is calling us to be an agile people, he wants us to be a people who will move with His voice. Ready to respond willingly and move with the shifts and changes of the Spirit of God. If we get attached to certain things that don't really matter, we can lose sight of God and what He is doing.
Apart from God, we can do nothing. We must remain in his strength if we are going to walk this road out and do what he has asked of us.
The boy with the loaves and the fishes gave what he had to his leaders to be used for the kingdom. Are we eager to give ourselves to the Lord and to our leaders? To play our part on the field? To be the part of the body we need to be?
Peter emphasizes the reality of hell and the eternal consequences of not knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior. We need to be reminded of the gravity of eternity and intentional in reaching out to family, friends, and strangers with the love and truth of Jesus.
Submission is a tricky concept to understand, especially where we've been in context where authority has been mishandled. But Jesus himself submitted wholeheartedly to the Father and healthy submission to godly, loving authority is essential and important for us.
And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Jesus, who deserves all the glory, humbled himself radically. Do we respond by reflecting him, or do we feel entitled to certain treatment, seek our own way, and become resentful when we don't get it?
Luke Hulley, from Joshua Generation Church in South Africa, concludes our time with the outreach team by sharing on how we remain in Christ. When we respond to Christ by trusting, listening to, and obeying him, we remain in him.
On this Pentecost Sunday, Peter shares a bit from Scripture about what it looked like when the Holy Spirit descended on the early church. Then we hear testimonies from the team that went on outreach to South Carolina and how the Lord moved and touched each one.
