The Minnesota Orchstra announced last fall that they will tour South Korea and Vietnam starting June 21, 2020, for nearly two weeks, continuing a legacy of musical diplomacy, and mounting one of the signature events of Osmo Vänskä's final three years as the Orchestra's music director. With other local and inclusive programs like Music and Mindfulness, the new "Hall Pass", sensory-friendly concerts and more, the Minnesota Orchestra is well on its way to a high note this 2020!

Coming up on the third anniversary of the untimely passing of Minneapolis icon Prince Rogers Nelson, Paisley Park is holding Celebration 2019, its third annual event to honor the life and memory of Prince. While the people who attend the four-day event will get to hear music by original Prince collaborators, panel discussions and special presentations, today you get a little taste of what that might be like as we talk to Photographer Allen Beaulieu and Writer Neal Karlen. Both were close to Prince, and we’re excited to share some of their behind-the-scene stories.
More than 1200 years ago, two ancient cities were lost to natural disasters and the rising tides of the Mediterranean Sea. Two decades ago, underwater archaeologist Franck Goddio and his team discovered those cities, revealing monumental statues, religious images carved in stone, exquisite jewelry, and delicate ceramics—and a greater understanding of life during the age of the pharaohs.
