Today Robin is telling the story alone. She is the voice of the guest who, given the situation her country is in, could not be virtually present.

After one week and a half of daily reports from Mayanmar streets, this episode aims at giving a voice to a brave girl who has been documenting the events. Her mission - people knowing what her country and the people are going through.

Robin is her voice today. Hopefully, the story will be spread.

Today Robin chats with Thomas, fresh from Wisconsin and just graduated. Thomas went through a rough path, when life just hit him...hard. But he found he could change his path and, as no one could describe him better, I will let him introduce himself: "I've seen the glory of playing in baseball tournaments across the country as a kid to later on getting caught up with the law. I've revamped my image and personal lifestyle through trial and error over the past 3 years. I know there are many young people out there that struggle with addiction, self image, and just wanting to feel themselves because I was in their shoes for many years. I want to share the way that I changed a downward slope into an upward climb as well as the message that if you take ownership and put in some action, that you can start to climb out of any hole you are in. Hoping to provide insight and encourage action."

Robin has the pleasure to have 2 guests in this episode! The two sunshine and laughs girls: Lulu & Alison from the 10K Dollar Day podcast. They discuss imaginary luxury traveling, more traveling and...their upcoming mega - project of course!

About Lulu and Alison:

From the moment Alison Burns and Lulu Picart met in a theater rehearsal in 2011, they knew they wanted to work together forever. The next few years granted that wish often, and the pair performed in several regional productions, created their own duo cabaret, toured the country singing with Disney composer David Friedman, and were even roommates during their off-Broadway run in 2014.

While both Alison and Lulu are accomplished actors, directors, and writers, Alison is also an award-winning choreographer, and Lulu works a creative consultant, often in music supervision. All of this performance and production experience have helped make the 10K Dollar Day podcasts and YouTube channel a success.

Outside of this venture, Alison continues to direct and perform, plus run a full-time performance coaching business. Lulu will be seen on Broadway in 2021 in the revival of 1776.

In this episode Robin talks about multi-cultural relationships, funny travel stories and being a creative with Rachanee. She is a writer, podcaster, musician and so much more!

About Rachanee:

I was born on a snowy day in Michigan (I'm just guessing, but since it was winter, it's a pretty good guess). I loved playing let's pretend and creating things; at my 4th grade birthday party I wrote a play and made all my friends participate in it. (No performance = no cake.) I pursued a degree in photojournalism but detoured into a music career. Four albums, over 1000 shows, many car miles and a few awards later, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in... acting and writing. (You thought I was going to say music, weren't you?)

While comedy is my main thing, I also do voice-overs, TV and film. Some of my favorite projects include playing a harried employee on Stevie TV; being a delusional girlfriend in a Matthew Hussey video; helping people navigate their Google Pixel 4 in an explained video series; and voicing the character of Yu Yan in Swan Princess 10: A Royal Wedding.

My journalism roots run deep though - I still write, mostly romantic comedy films, comedy TV shows, and sketches. My scripted comedy podcast, Ex Pat, debuted in March 2020 on all major podcast platforms. My comedy sketch, Happy Divorce-aversary, was featured in the 2018 National Hispanic Media Coalition’s industry showcase.

When I’m not creating, you can find me playing in a dodge ball league or geeking out over tabletop and video games.

About the podcast: A comedy about an interracial and international romance between a Filipina American gal and an Irish guy and the culture clash that happens as a result. Links

David Mielke was born in Campbell River, BC, Canada, where an extraordinary teacher named Marie Rackham helped him turn his life around when he dropped back into high school after running away from home at the age of 15. He went on to work in Los Angeles as an actor and singer, both appearing in film, television, and regional theatre, and creating and performing one-person shows under the banner of his company, The Rainbow Man Productions. His original works include Rediscovering the River and Spirit of the Unicorn. When Marie was diagnosed with cancer, David returned to Canada to care for her, and together they created 114 episodes of the award-winning Cozy Grammar series of video courses as a way for her to be, as she put it, “where cancer isn’t.” After her death, he worked in LGBTQ social services before returning to working as an actor, producing additional content for Cozy Grammar, and creating and performing his own theatrical productions with his husband, Thomas Hitoshi Pruiksma. Their most recent collaboration is a musical called The Driftwood Bridge. Member of Actor’s Equity, SAG-AFTRA, and ACTRA.

Lianne

In the 5+ years after leaving home, Lianne maximized the potential of her bruised and abused British passport. From utilizing the holiday working visas in Australia and Canada to road tripping the US and finding hidden surf spots in the Philippines, her love for travel is on clear display.

Having grown up with 2 older brothers and worked too many hours in dirty dive bars, Lianne brings her sharp tongue and quick wit to the podcast world. Her experiences as a modern vagabond have many wondering how she maintains this lifestyle.

Well... have a listen and you may find out!

Corey

Corey has spent the last couple decades intermittently scouring the globe on both short and long term adventures. After a spell of, "growing up", he realized what makes him happy. So he met the gal, left his career, packed his bags and, well, hasn't looked back since.

With an open mind and an open heart, and we mustn't forget about his loyal companion Charley, Corey loves learning about pretty much everything. Culture and travel certainly are not excluded from that. His cheekiness is well balanced with an empathetic nature, to provide you with an enthusiastic (he is American after all), yet comical host.
