Conversations With Nicole Season 8 Episode 4 features Florida A&M University (FAMU) Director of Communications and Alumni Relations, College of Social Sciences Arts & Humanities (CSSAH) and Adjunct History Professor, Yanela McLeod, PhD. McLeod has assembled a talented creative team to produce a one hour documentary entitled “Changing the Game: The Jake Gaither Story," which shares the civil rights legacy of legendary FAMU head football coach Alonzo S. “Jake” Gaither. Coach Gaither championed social change by using sports to improve race relations in and beyond the state of Florida. November 29, 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the historic football game between FAMU, a historically black college and university and the University of Tampa, a predominately white institution, where FAMU Rattlers emerged victorious in a 34-38 win. This also served as the launch date for a crowd funding campaign for the documentary project. For more information and to support this effort visit https://www.jakegaitherstory.com/
