Songbird has lost her parents and her previous life, and needs a place to hide. Fortunately, she has found a position on a team of shadowrunners. Alpha, their genderfluid team leader, has a soft spot for her, as does Shark, their troll street samurai. Jazz, their technomancer, most decidedly does not.
What is Songbird running from? What secrets are her teammates hiding? Will her strange connection with spirits of all sorts prove to be a blessing, or a curse?
What will happen when the team tries to hack Lone Star's records? Can they get the information they need to capture the invisible pickpocket?
What happened to Alpha, Shark, and Jazz? Will Songbird ever see them again? Are they even alive?
When we last left Songbird, a shadow spirit had abruptly materialized in a runner bar. What will happen next?
The mission is simple: clear some hellcows out of a meatpacking plant. What could possibly go wrong?
Who, exactly, sent the team on the run that went bad? All the team knows about their mysterious employer is that they go by the name 8-Ball, and make their funds by brokering information. What will the secretive 8-Ball think of their failure? And what will Alpha choose as the team's next run?
Shadowrun is a catch all term for illegal activity. Someone wants some private info off a corp computer? It’s a shadowrun. Need something stolen? Shadowrun. Want an assassination? It’s a shadowrun, though hopefully not one I’ll ever have to do.
A shadowrunner is, by definition, someone who completes shadowruns. That’s me, now. I swallowed. And this was my first shadowrun.
