To this day, no one knows what really happened to them, because the circumstances surrounding their deaths are almost too confusing and shocking to grasp. On the Indonesian Island of Java, is it said that there is a historical building so haunted that the Indonesian government has had trouble getting people to come visit. While the building itself, known as Lawang Sewu, has a sordid and dark past, it is not the reason it has become so feared amongst the locals. Lawang Sewu is said to be home to a Pontianak. Nestled in the Talamanca Mountains of Costa Rica rests an abandoned Sanatorium. The decrepit structure had sheltered many lives since 1915 when it was built. The Broaddus family was just looking to make a fresh start in suburban life, but what should have been a great experience turned into a nightmare. The family started getting terrifying letters that spoke of things hidden in the walls of their new home and made terrible threats against the family's young children. Dr. Linda Hazzard prescribed her unorthodox fasting treatment method to hundreds of people from 1890-1913. Unsurprisingly, her "treatments" actually killed dozens of people. While some hailed her as a pioneer in alternative medicine, many believe she was the first female mass murderer of the Pacific Northwest. In one of the oldest cemeteries in the state of Vermont rests the grave of John Erastus Hubbard. While there is nothing particularly paranormal about John's life and death, there are some who believe his final resting place in the Green Mount Cemetery is completely haunted. This is mainly due to the mystery of the veiled figure who kneels beside his grave. It's no angel or mourning statue of the Virgin Mary, it is known only as Black Agnes.

Two parallel 51 foot walls of sandstone with meticulously placed rocks that form stairs from the top of the embankment to the river below. They look like they were placed there by hand. Except they weren't. Locals regard the area with caution, and associate it with a mysterious and negative energy.
