Three hours of country music, local interviews and events hosted by Marshall Miles on Robin Hood Radio every Sunday 9 AM until 12 NOON
Over 25 years after starting Sunday In The Country Radio Show and Food Drive, then Hometown Sunday Morning covering three different radio stations, three states and thousands of people, Dave retired from on-air today...a special show tinged with sadness and joy. Dave and Christine, enjoy your retirement, we will miss you....
Thank you, NASCAR Dave!
This morning Sen. Craig Miner and I surprised Dave MacMillan while he was live on air at the WHDD Studios in Sharon. Next week will be Dave’s last show before he and his lovely wife move south to Florida. For 25+ years they have been instrumental in raising money and collecting essential items for the Sunday In The Country Food Drive, which has benefited thousands of Tri-state area families over that time. To honor such selfless and tireless efforts, Sen. Miner and I had the honor of presenting Dave with an official citation from the CT General Assembly.

“In recognition your over 25 tireless and selfless years on air at WKZE, WQQQ, WHDD and Robin Hood Radio, and your faithful and unwavering service to our local communities. As Cofounder of The Sunday In The Country Food Drive, along with Robert Chatfield, you’ve helped raise well over $300,000 to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to Tri state area residents who could not afford it. Your comfort and grace to others will never be forgotten and forever appreciated.”
