Dude is the public name I use for an ET friend. Dude's Maxims are an ongoing series of Maxims and Insights provided by Dude during our many face to face and telepathic conversations. In todays extract, Dude offers his take on the actual death of Jesus and the fate of his dearest disciple John.
In this brief extract Dude talks about how the 4 scales of microbiomes (communities of microbial life forms) are connected to everything else in the cosmos. This maybe a pertinent lesson given the current Covid-19 hysteria that is sweeping around the planet. Maybe Covid-19 can teach us about how everything is connected and how everything we do can effect everything else!
This extract is about how one group of ETs changed from being hostile like us who cared only for themselves to becoming a space faring race who care for others.
The main difference between humans and space faring ETs is how we percieve and react to difference and create the idea of us and them. In this extract Dude talks about the origin of this way of functioning and how we can transform it and overcome the perception of separation.

After Lready giving a very long answer to the final question (already over 100 A4 pages) Dude makes a few comments on how we ought to see simplicity in organisms and the danger of mistaking apparently simple organisms for those that are poorly developed.
In todays Dude feast, I introduce the idea of co-learning from Toby Walsh as a model for advanced learning and then give you a short extract from Dude's response to question 18 from the Interview book : "Many of us are "bullies and wusses" (aggressive and non aggressive). Is this common in the universe, of early staged civilizations who are evolving? Or are we an irritating exemption that obviously needs babysitters in order not to self destruct?... " Dude's emphasis here (in contrast to my own) is the need for understanding diversity in relationships and how each race learns. And while he has hinted at the importance of a kind of co-learning, he has always emphasised tolerance over being a particular way!
