When we think of porn music today, we think of smooth grooves, funky basslines, and wah wah guitars. But it never used to be that way. This episode delves into how the porn music stereotype came to be, which oddly takes a lot of funk music elements. James talks with Ray Briggs, assistant director of Jazz Studies at CSULB; Will Ryder, adult movie director and producer; and Alex Puddu, a music producer known for his three-volume pornogroove album "The Golden Age of Danish Pornography."
