The state of comfort can be very enjoyable — but it can also prevent you from growing. Comfort limits you to what’s familiar, preventing you from stretching the bounds of what you are capable of. And if you are in a great place in life or have achieved a certain level of success, discomfort and pain aren’t going to be your motivators. Because it is very unlikely that you are going to experience them. The solution? Detach a little bit in your relationship from pain and know that pain is not the only motivator. How often is taking care of yourself right at the top of your to-do list? We live in a society that sometimes discourages prioritizing self-care and energy preservation. It is remarkable just how different we all are. The differences in our personalities can be attributed to the unique patterns of behavior that we have built over time, leaving us thinking that we cannot change certain aspects of our personalities if we wanted to. But, like jazz musicians learning their craft, we can change, improve and gradually – and with effort – substitute new habits for old. The first step in this entire process is to start looking at the things in your life from a non-judgemental, objective lens, and everything else will flow. Tune in to this episode to learn more.

There are two things we can control in life: perspective and action. Other than these, to some degree, we cannot control the things outside of us. If you are in a position in your life, where you're feeling a little misaligned and unsettled, it's probably because you have not addressed your perspective and actions towards stuff that happens in your life.

Being a human is really complex. And depending on where you were raised, what your environment was, and where you live now, your experience is going to be very different from the person next to you. So this concept that we have to get to some level for us to enjoy the journey, is a profound illusion. It never happens! Don't deny yourself of living the human experience because it can be a really, really beautiful thing.

We spend a lot of time putting control in our life, and creating things that will bring us the security that we desire. Even more time is spent in structures that we think are going to keep us safe. As a result, many of us end up being disconnected from our hearts. So, what does it take to regain connection with ourselves? While it is important to slow down enough to stop focusing on all the things we are trying to control and instead live in the present, doing so isn’t easy. But what if you went into your days knowing that everything that you already want is set out for you? That you don't have to control it all? And this is exactly what I talk about in this episode! So many people want their lives to change. They want so many things in their lives to be different, but one of the things they are not willing to change is their perception. We hardly spend enough time focusing on our perception, yet our perception window is what really changes everything else outside of us.

And when we are in touch with our empowered self, we're also in touch with our emotions and our deepest feelings. Anxiety is a very common word in this day and age. This is why in today’s episode, I choose to give a different perspective on anxiety, what it means, and how the body is responding. Many negative habitual patterns are created as a response to anxiety, and if one does not take time to understand what is happening, breaking such habits can be difficult. The point of talking about this is not to shame or blame anybody for where they are in their life or anything like that. It's really to just invite a different perspective and address the root of the issue.

Where you are in your life right now is because this has been what's been safe for you to get to up until this point. Your conscious awareness is what has allowed you to get to where you are today. It is so easy for the human mind to fall into this ego way of thinking of ‘What's for me, and what can I get and what do I desire and what's out there that I can receive.’ And there's nothing wrong with wanting to have the human experience of receiving and to feel security and feel abundance in your life.
But that’s not what I am talking about in this episode. I'm talking about the energy of giving back in a way that allows you to become the person that you really see for yourself, based on your giving energy threshold. After all, giving is one of the ways in which we show love and fill our energy back up!

One of the mindset traps that people get stuck in is thinking that once they go down a personal growth and development path, they will no longer attract negative experiences into their life. That everything is going to be perfect. Until something bad happens.
But here's the thing, it's not about trying to create a perfect life. It's not about trying to get rid of all negative things. Because that’s not possible! Unless you want to live in a bubble.
So in today’s episode, I talk about how you can fully empower yourself to see everything that happens in your life as a gift, even the hardest of things. Because if you are going to live with the mindset that nothing bad will happen to your life, you have already missed the point!

Just as it is important to cleanse your body using food, supplements, and other therapies, it’s also important to cleanse and detoxify your energy field – all aspects of ourselves need to be clear of toxins in order for our bodies to function optimally. This involves paying critical attention to what we let in, and how it affects our overall wellbeing.
In today’s episode, I speak about why you experience an energy drain at the end of the day. If you have been experiencing this and are not sure why or what it's coming from, or how to manage it, or what to do about the fact that you feel so drained, this episode is for you!

We all have things in life that we wish would happen sooner… challenges we wish we could overcome faster… and a vision for our future that we wish we could magically teleport right into. But the universe doesn’t work that way, and we are often required to summon enormous amounts of trust and patience as we follow the path toward our greatest dreams and ambitions.
In today’s episode, I address the desire to seek deeper spirituality or understanding of how to connect with yourself and connect with something greater. And one of the best ways to do this is by trusting in divine timing. Because it’s real!
A few questions to ask yourself as you listen to this episode include: Are you trusting that there is something greater that maybe you can't explain, but if you reflect back on your life, there's proof of it? And are you over-emphasizing how much control really needs to be in your life? Are you leaving breathing room for even greater things that you don't know about to receive?

How often do you find yourself negotiating with yourself? How many times have you settled for less even though you knew you deserved more?
In today’s episode, I talk about the abundance state of mind. The truth about life is that we're supposed to have all the joy and fulfillment and goodness in the world. It's supposed to be part of our plan. However, our desires should not be from a place of scarcity and lack, such as scrolling through social media. Because the only way to have incredible things happen in your life is by being in a place of abundance, appreciation, and gratitude. A place of enough and also openness to receiving whatever other gifts are available to you.
So, your job this week is to notice your energy patterns about receiving and about that openness and seeing if you are negotiating with yourself. Take a moment to become aware of whether your playing small is coming from a place of lack, looking at everybody else’s life and wishing that's what you had.

A lot of times, people get stuck when looking for a change because of a lack of acceptance for where they are right now. If you don't accept your current stances, it makes it incredibly difficult to move forward. The mindset of not accepting what your current circumstances are is coming from a place of frustration and anger. So the lack of acceptance does not give you the ability to take your power back, step into your power, and cultivate what you want to be creating. Tune in to learn how you can get out of the victim mentality and create the change you want to see today!

Really organized people are not born organized, they have to cultivate healthy habits, which then help them to stay organized. So even if you think you are a very disorganized person, you can learn to be organized. From planning things, jotting things down, to ditching the unnecessary and organizing things that matter, you will become an organized person as long as you’re willing to learn and practice.

Would you believe it if I told you that it is possible to effortlessly live a life of abundance? That it is possible to have really wonderful relationships, financial security, and a job or a business or career that really lights you up?
Developing an abundant mindset impacts your personal and professional success. When you have an abundance mindset you feel clear, confident, and capable. When you have a scarcity mentality you fear the unknown and believe there is only so much of everything. Developing an abundance mindset leads to greater creativity and happiness. Money is a fun topic to talk about. Because it's one of the biggest topics in the world that people have a lot of feelings and emotions around. Our default lens of money often holds subconscious programming that is creating limitations in us that we're not consciously aware of. And this applies to every area of money: spending, savings, earning everything related to cash.
And when we're not aware of our money standards, or what our belief system holds, we don't consciously see the behaviors that are playing out. We don't see the standards that we're setting for ourselves - they just become these behaviors that happen that we are not able to take full ownership with, because we have not identified our money pattern.

Procrastination and Perfectionism are two sides of the same coin! Both these phenomena are largely subconscious. Therefore, it is sometimes difficult to detect procrastination and perfectionism in us. And it can get even more elusive to see the link between the two. Well, to put it simply, it can be very hard for us to get anything done if it HAS to be done perfectly!
In today’s episode, Malorie talks about the connection between procrastination and perfectionism. This conversation was inspired by her recent conversation with people which reflected the struggle of productivity within the entrepreneurial industry. Perfectionism has this uncanny tendency of telling your mind that the outcome needs to be better than 100%. This becomes the starting point of procrastination.
In this episode, Malorie discusses:
Favorite Quotes:
“We have different workflows… and some people do thrive under pressure. It doesn’t mean they struggle with perfectionism.”
“The deeper part of perfectionism is that belief that (your work) is not valuable enough to be put out into the world… but it’s important to know why we procrastinate and what we’re procrastinating on.”

Writing humbles you. It makes you see things in yourself - your writing, your worldview, your weird way of expressing ideas - that you didn’t otherwise notice. Most people have a dream of writing a book but never realize it. Not because they can’t or don’t know how, but because they’re afraid. Because an unrealized dream is safer than an action that could fail.

There is always a face behind any social change. The evidence in the streets, media coverage and even sometimes a landmark legislation may feel abrupt, but these are visual cues of something that may have been simmering for decades before they can be observed. The toiling done behind the scenes may go unnoticed, but the champions of change work day and night to push the flywheel until it gathers momentum to eventually move on its own. Susan McPherson is a perfect example.
Susan is the founder and CEO of McPherson Strategies, a communications consultancy focused on the intersection of brands and social impact, providing storytelling, partnership creation and visibility to corporations, NGOs and social enterprises. Her client roster is a who’s who of household name corporations, NGOs and passion projects that are near and dear to her heart. Some of them include iFundWomen, Inc., Messy.fm, Our Place, The Riveter, News Deeply, Hint Water, Apolitical, Arlo Skye, Giapenta and The Muse.
In this episode of Abundantly Clear podcast, Susan shares why she is so passionate about corporate responsibility and social impact, and how businesses can focus on either of the two in order to create an impact in society. She also highlights how the general public can get involved in social impact and corporate responsibility. Tune in to understand how you can bring your sustainable vision to life.

The things that happen to us in our childhood aren’t just buried and forgotten forever. Our childhood experiences are crucial to our emotional development and wellbeing. The adult figures in our lives during our childhood are our primary attachment and play an important role in how we experience life, because they lay a foundation of what the word is going to look like for us.
On this episode of the Abundantly Clear podcast, Malorie digs into how our childhood experiences are reflected in our adult life patterns, the behaviors we’ve carried from our childhood into our adult life, and why we need to create a new belief that works if whatever was modeled to us does not. Trauma doesn't necessarily mean that it was that vision, that painted a picture of something horrific happening, like losing a family member or losing a parent or going through a divorce or being raised in a house that abuse was common. Trauma can also mean being dismissed, and not being loved and not being shown attention or affection or emotional support. Trauma can also mean being praised for everything that you did that was good and creating beliefs about who you are, that you are somebody that achieves things. So that is the only way that you feel worthy. Trauma shows up in so many different ways.

Fear is a powerful emotion that has paralyzed and prevented many from achieving their goals. Can you imagine all those opportunities that one would miss if they chose to live in the prison of fear their entire life?
For over 30 years, fear drove Patrick Sweeney’s choices and actions, making him miss out on a number of amazing opportunities that life presented him. It is after contracting a rare form of leukemia that Patric realized his courage was a super-power. He decided that if he beat the disease he’d get over his biggest fear, flying. He now flies a stunt plane in aerobatic competitions. It is one of the greatest joys in his life, a true passion that was hidden from him because of fear. He is the founder and CEO of four technology companies, holds seven patents, produced award-winning adventure documentary films, and is an agile investor in over 30 start-ups. He, however, chose to leave all these behind; to write Fear is Fuel and help millions of people find the courage and the life of their dreams.
In this episode, Patrick talks about some of the life-changing decisions he made, how he replaced judgment with curiosity, and how changing the way of thinking and decision making is particularly relevant to today’s leaders. Tune in to learn how you can find and understand your hidden fears, and confront them to achieve peak performance.

As a busy entrepreneur, you probably have a pretty set routine, right? When was the last time you sat back and looked at where you're actually headed, and why you want to get there?
Elijah started his entrepreneurial journey as a freshman in high school by buying misspelled "macboks" and "ipoods" on eBay and flipping them for profit. His latest project, Grit List, is a 10-year commitment to write personal growth stories every week.

“Breathwork allows us to really connect with this higher self, gives us access to it. You know, I think a lot of people will choose plant medicine because they want access to that vibration or that feeling. But then, you know, the other flip of the coin there is like they're always trying to get back to that, like I'm addicted to that feeling. But what we really don't realize is, that is that feeling. Like, you are your own drug, you are your own medicine.”
