Short submission for the one synth challenge of KVR audio forum. All sounds are produced by sending MIDI to the free and open source yoshimi synthesizer. The piece uses 6 parts (out of 16 available). All sounds are generated and recorded simultaneously. Everything is synthesized: no samples are used. The sounds consist of tweaked presets and third party patch sets: Midi channel 1: "computer" patch 127 from "the mysterious bank" Midi channel 2: "arpeggio11" patch 11 from the "arpeggios" bank Midi channel 3: "violent_pad_2" tweaked patch 75 from "the mysterious bank" Midi channel 4: "near_saturnus" tweaked patch 57 from "the mysterious bank" Midi channel 5: "Acquoso_1" patch 19 from the "Cormi sound" bank Midi channel 10: "Natural Drum Kit" tweaked patch 4 from the "Drums" bank
First in a series of 5 ancient Greek/Roman epitaphs (= texts on graves). This first one uses the oldest preserved song with lyrics "Seikilos' epitaph" (written by Seikilos, and dedicated to Euterpe, possibly his wife) as basis for a modernized version of the preserved theme. All sounds generated by Roland Integra-7.

Short one-minute jingle for a contest. The assignment was to create a one-minute jingle inspired by the prelude to the te deum by Marc Charpentier. You may know this theme as the theme from the European Broadcast Union ("eurovision theme"). Here played live on prophet rev2 synthesizer.
One of five experimental soundscapes that was playing in the forest during the "Lichtfeest" event in sint-joris-weert 09 november 2019. Adults with torches and children with lampions walked through the dark forest and met these soundscapes on their tour. Although the music starts very meditative, it gets more energetic as time progresses.
Instruments used: yoshimi software synthesizer, supercolllider, yamaha gt-2 digital piano, casio wk7600 keyboard, ardour5 DAW, and a laptop running Arch linux.
I reworked my tri-modal canon into a challenging choir piece which here is sung by Capella Academica, with some much appreciated help from string players.

The emperor's clothes - my first steps in the 14 EDO universe played on prophet rev2 synthesizer.
Played live on a dave smith instruments (sequential) prophet rev2 (no external effects). A tribute to a Russian composer who died around the time I started to play his easiest pieces. A connection between these two events is likely, but was never proved ;)This semi-improvisation is loosely based on a piece of Kabalevsky, known as Op. 39, No. 22 (Novelette), the somewhat unconventional (sad, melancholic) harmonies of which have been haunting me from my childhood until this date.
live xenharmonic improvisation on dave smith instruments rev2 polyphonic hardware synthesizer using 48 equal steps per octave
Microtonal war music, made by dividing the octave into 10 equal parts (as opposed to the usual 12).
A microtonal piece using a bohlen-pierce scale, executed by a Dave Smith Instruments REV2 synthesizer. Sound is pure REV2, no additional effects or equalizing. Patches layered in ardour 5.
Glissando-based caleidoscopic variation on the theme. First time I've used "SAL" (part of common music 3, see http://commonmusic.sourceforge.net/) to generate some music events.
