giant flying luxury hotel that can stay in the air for years
giant nuclear-powered ‘flying hotel’, complete with a gym and swimming pool that’s set to carry 5,000 passengers.
Sky Cruise plans to remain airborne for months at a time, while also docking to take on new passengers, or to drop off anyone board.
The futuristic hybrid between a plane and hotel – which has 20 engines powered by nuclear fusion – is designed never to land.
Hashem Alghaili, who created the incredibly detailed mock-up of the monster aircraft, says the nuclear-powered sky cruise “could be the future of transport”.
- Designed to run 24/7, Alghaili even adds that running repairs would be carried out in-flight – a first in aviation

Shayne is a 47 year old father of three from Daylesford in country Victoria, Australia. He is now suffering and battling against a Grade 4 GBM( Glioblastoma), terminal brain cancer. The deadliest of cancers. Shayne's prognosis is absolutely dire, with only months to live.
Shayne and the family are still in absolute shock and are totally devastated.
Only six months ago Shayne was healthy, strong and excited for the future, especially about planning a trip to WA with his children. His dream, as many of you know, was to finish renovating the old coach he bought years back to create a motorhome for that trip of a lifetime. Sadly his bus-dream-home won't become a reality... but a rental motorhome with a good bed for Shayne, space for his kids, including his fur baby, for a mini trip is now the goal.
Late last year, totally out of the blue, Shayne started experiencing seizures. Medical testing led to the tragic diagnosis of a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) in his temporal region, already in stage 4. Now post-operation, Shayne is struggling every day and fighting for his life.
Having just completed radiation therapy, Shayne has embarked on the painful and invasive treatment of chemotherapy to try to halt the growth of this aggressive cancer. Despite his brave battle, the cancer and treatment is taking an enormous toll on him and his quality of life.
The family are asking for your support so he can get the best quality of life in the time he has left, to help support his final wish of going on his last road trip - to enable him to spend time with his children making as many memories as a family while they are together. And with your support, help his children into the future.

Minimum wages will increase by at least $40 a week, with the hourly pay rate lifting from $20.33 to $21.38, the Fair Work Commission has ruled.
The commission handed down its decision in the annual wage review on Wednesday, granting a 5.2% increase to the national minimum wage and 4.6% for award minimums, amid a tight labour market and skyrocketing inflation.
The decision sets the pay of at least 2.7 million Australians on the national minimum or awards and will come into effect from 1 July.
But the commission ruled the increase will be delayed to 1 October in the aviation, tourism and hospitality sectors because of “exceptional circumstances”, including their slower recovery from the Covid recession.
The prime minister, Anthony Albanese, welcomed the decision and said it vindicated his position during the election campaign when he said he would “absolutely” back a wage rise in line with the 5.1% inflation rate.
“It makes a difference to people who are struggling with the cost of living, and it justifies our position that we took in making a different submission to the Fair Work Commission, that said we did not want people who are on the minimum wage to go backwards,” Albanese said at a press conference in Gladstone.
“Many of those people who are on the minimum wage are the heroes who saw us through the pandemic. These workers deserve more than our thanks, they deserve a pay rise and today, they’ve got it.”
Unions had asked for a 5.5% lift in the national minimum from $20.33 to $21.45 an hour, while employer groups had suggested more modest rises of about 2.5%.
A submission by the Albanese government called for low-paid workers’ pay not to go backwards, meaning a 5.1% increase in line with headline inflation, which the Reserve Bank of Australia has suggested will go as high as 7% by year’s end.
The Fair Work Commission president, justice Iain Ross, acknowledged that by ordering an increase lower than inflation some workers would receive a real wage cut, but suggested this could be fixed in later years.
The union movement welcomed the decision.
Sally McManus, secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, said unions had “fought hard” for the increase against “employers pushing for big real wage cuts”.
But McManus said the review only sets pay for one in four workers, while changes were needed to bargaining laws to help get “wage growth across the economy”.

“Today you are you. That is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!”
Power uncertainty spread across five states on Tuesday, with the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) warning of possible power interruptions.
Market notices published on the AEMO website warned of maximum power load interruptions in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
This was forecast to impact Queensland from 5pm until 10:30pm and NSW from 5:30pm to 10:30pm, with further interruptions possible on Wednesday.
Potential power interruptions were forecast for Tasmania, South Australia and Victoria on Wednesday evening — but the notices relating to South Australia and Tasmania were cancelled later on Tuesday.
AEMO also released a statement on Tuesday afternoon saying supply shortfalls in NSW and Queensland would be met following discussions with governments, industry and generation owners.
"Discussions with scheduled generators indicate an estimate of approximately 2,000 megawatts of generation in each of Queensland and New South Wales, which hasn't bid into the market, can be directed by AEMO to be available to help meet forecast electricity shortfalls this evening," AEMO said.t
It also said it would encourage generators to bid their availability into the market in order to avoid supply shortages on Wednesday.
Similar warnings from AEMO for Queensland on Monday afternoon were followed by another statement explaining that a market response demanded under National Electricity Rules had meant potential blackouts were avoided.
The cost of power has been rising so rapidly that AEMO stepped in to place a cap on the wholesale price of electricity in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
AEMO set the price cap for consumers at $300 a megawatt hour.
"As a consequence, available offers from generators reduced, contributing to a forecast supply shortfall," AEMO said on Monday.
Australian Energy Council chief executive Sarah McNamara said while the power crunch would ease eventually, there was no immediate solution in sight.
"One of the issues in the market is that a number of coal plants have had outages on the east coast of Australia, for unplanned maintenance," Ms McNamara said.
"Once they come back online in the next couple of months that should improve supply somewhat."
Alinta Energy executive director Daniel McClelland said power customers should be prepared to face higher prices.
"If we're going to be honest about this, it looks like these higher prices are going to persist for the next two years, if you look at what's happening elsewhere in the world," he said.
Andrew Stock from the Climate Council said Victoria and SA were better placed to weather any power shortfall because of the state's push towards renewable energy sources.
"Fortunately, some of the states like Victoria and South Australia have been getting on with it anyway and they are reaping some of the benefits, and now Queensland and New South Wales are playing catch-up as fast as they can," Mr Stock said.
“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who do not”

The price of lettuce soon won’t be the only thing shoppers are complaining about, with Aussies warned to prepare for shortages of another common veggie.
The price of lettuce has skyrocketed – to $12 for one iceberg lettuce in some parts of the country – as Australia continues to deal with fresh produce shortages.
Bill Bulmer, Victorian lettuce grower and chair of the industry body for the Australian vegetable producers, AUSVEG, told 3AW that the price hikes won’t stop any time soon.
He said Aussies can expect to see shortages of lettuce, capsicum and spinach to continue for at least the next three months, with another veggie joining them on the chopping block.
“Then, probably, the looming shortage coming into spring is going to be onions,” he said.
Just like we have seen with lettuce, a shortage of onions is set to send prices for the vegetable soaring.
