The psalmist marvels at the excellencies and perfections of God’s Word, including its timeless, unlimited, and infinite nature. In Psalm 119:89, he observes, “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven” (NKJV), punctuating the fact that God’s Word is eternal. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inthewordnetwork/message
Genesis 3:1-8–Adam and Eve tried to hide from God as an attempt to cover up their sin. They no longer enjoyed close companionship with God. Our deepest loneliness is caused by this separation from God, and this also impacts our relationships with others.--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inthewordnetwork/message

The sin of pride is a dangerous offense, why? Pride is self sufficient and thinks it can compete with God. The devil became the devil through “pride.” --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inthewordnetwork/message

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7). An adaptation of Psalm 55:22, Anxiety implies not only some distrust of God’s providence, but also some kind of belief that we may be able to manage better for ourselves. Humble yourselves and cast all your anxiety. Pride is at the root of most of our anxiety. To human pride it is humiliating to cast everything upon another and be cared for. (See James 4:6-7).

Part of the process of overcoming these habitual, or besetting, sins is in recognizing the transformation that has indeed taken place within the believer. Paul writes, “So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11).

Numbers 16th Chapter—Korah (a Levite) rebels against Moses and Aaron. His sin was greater than jealousy of his cousins the priests. He set himself against God, and led others to do the same.

No one can completely comprehend God (Romans 11:34), but through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, believers can understand spiritual truths. Believers have insight into some of God’s plans, thoughts, and actions because, with the Spirit within, they have access to the mind of Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, believers can begin to know God’s thoughts, talk with him, and expect his answers to their prayers. Paul could allow his detractors in Corinth to jeer at him, for they had no right to make judgments on him or his message—because he had the mind of Christ and they did not.
