We sow not to eat today, but to eat tomorrow. Psalms 126:5-6 those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go and plant their seed, but sing as they return with the harvest.
Tears are a safety valve of the heart when too much pressure is laid upon it. To cry is to release all sorts of ugly little pressures. You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” Psalms 56:8 NLT

Your greatest ability as a human is the capacity to improve who you are. Its an ability you have above the animals. A dog cant be anything but a dog. A tree cant be anything but a tree, but as a human being you have unlimited potential. You can put effort into you, and by concentrating and developing yourself with Gods help, you can transform your life and be anything. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Jesus only lived 33 years, and it ended on the cross, an apparent failure. Yet he said in John 17:4 I have finished the work thou gavest me to do. Living a life of quality is more precious than a long life. It doesn’t matter wether you live another year, or two years or five years. What matters is how you spend those days. James 4:14 What is your life it is but a vapor that appeareth for a little while and then vanishes away
When an enemy cant gain entry into your soul temple, they tend to engage psychological warfare while standing on the outside they may insult, curse and even threaten your life. This is a weak attempt to destroy you on the inside psychologically because they don’t have any real access. 2 Chronicles 32:7 be strong be courages, don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the king if Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side.
Healing your soul temple starts with fixing the broken down doors. Doors are there to keep what belongs outside outside, and what belongs inside safe. Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
Remember most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all. If you asking “How long should you try?” The answer is. . . Until. 1 corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. .
Hope in the Christian tradition is hope because of a new state of being. Hope in the fact that you are not who you use to be. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new

Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Making the conscious choice to let go of bad habits and addictions is only the first step to achieving mental health. Its going to take focus and dedication to Gods ways to stay on track, but be encouraged God will strengthen you. 2 Chronicles 16:9 the eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committee to him.
The reason so many fail to break free from bad habits are: 1. Neuro-pathway formed by man made pleasures are stronger deeper than natural healthy ones 2. The pleasure trap pulls you towards bad unnatural habits/addictions 3. To break out of a habit leaves you feeling horrible for a few weeks before you feel good again. Mathew 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few
Like a mot to a flame, our brains natural instinct is to go for whatever gives it the most pleasure. Irrespective of the negative consequences that may follow. Mark 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Apathy is a trap. There is no challenge... so there is no real reward. Remember, there is always free cheese in a mousetrap.- Steve Maraboli 1 John 2:16 ESV For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world
Satan has many ways of breaking you down mentally, however God has many more ways to build you up mentally and restore to you that which was lost.
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart (mind) for everything you do flows from it.
The original hope of mankind with the advancement in technology, and material goods was to reduce stress and pressure and to increase happiness. Unfortunately many these advancements bring with them dangers for health & mental health because of the neurotoxins they contain. Genesis 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
Neuroscience has proven that social neglect cam cause damage to the brains of adults as well as children. However as children of God even if we find ourselves tested by social neglect and hardship we find social healing in God as our father, Jesus as our brother and the Holy Spirit as our constant companion. John 16:33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Social grief like death or a break up can cause a disruption in hormonal balances that results in specific symptoms, such as disturbed sleep, loss of appetite, fatigue and anxiety, which in turn can be a hit for depression. Genesis 2:18 Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him (he didn’t say its not nice, not good- socially, mentally?)
One of the key characteristics of depression is the lowering of your mood. This can happen when you have an off day, when you are grieving, or if you are clinically depressed. It is important to identify what is causing the decline in your mood. Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind
Unfortunately it is possible to struggle with Anxiety & depression simultaneously and be going through grief at the same time. You can imagine this can cause allot of confusion if at the same time having a elevation and lowering of your mood all at the same time. Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
As economies are falling and times are getting tougher financially, many of us may be experiencing a want of physical food. And if we are also hungering inwardly and not being spiritually nourished these physical wants many be come overwhelming and too heavy a burden to bear. John 4:31-32 Teacher, have something to eat! But he answered, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about."
Feeling beautiful has nothing to do with what you look like. Confidence is the only key. I can't think of any better representation of beauty than someone who is unafraid to be themselves. 1 Samuel 16:7 Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.
There is a bitter sweet truth that every Christian must face and that is that the path of life only gets harder as we approach the end, but the sweet truth is the more we lean on Jesus the less we have to do to stay on the path for He becomes our path, our full dependance. Mat 7: 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it
Because of the current pandemic the traditional places and ways of mourning has become inaccessible to many. Visiting the homes of the bereaved, attending a memorial service, or being at a grave side committal is not possible for many. Sharing a hug, holding a friends, wiping away their tears is no longer safe. We facing the difficult task of reinventing the places and rituals of mourning. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted
Heraclitus the greek philosopher said: “the only constant in life is change”… even the bad you are going through will soon change. However as Gods children we have a greater hope. There is one more constant and that is God.

That its not the start of the race or what happens in between that counts, what matters is that you finish the race. Hosea 14:4 will heal their back slidings; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them

Meditation in some practices is viewed as the emptying and opening up of the mind to new things, this can be dangerous of you do not filter what is allowed in. Meditation as a biblical practice is the complete opposite. It is the filling the mind with the things of God, meditating means thinking upon Gods truths. 1 Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.” —Ronald Reagan Psalm 107:29-30 He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they were quiet, So He guided them to their desired haven.
Life unfolds in the present. But so often, we let the present slip away, allowing time to rush past unobserved and unseized, and squandering the precious seconds of our lives as we worry about the future and overthink the past. So where-ever you are be all there.” Jim Elliot
Luke 19:42 If you, even you, had only known on this day (today) what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes
At your baptism you entered into a covenant with God. Declaring Him to be your God and you to be his child. Communion is a time where you can re-establish this covenant through the rite of partaking of the symbol of Christs blood and body. 1 Corinthians 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
Partaking of the Lords supper means that we partake in the promise of eternal life, it’s a time to share Gods goodness with others and call to remembrance everything God has done in the past. Its an affirmation of our covenant with God for the forgiveness of sin. It’s a proclamation of the Lords death
Luke 22: 7-8 Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread arrived, when the Passover lamb is sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John ahead and said, “Go and prepare the Passover meal, so we can eat it together
What brought you here to the point in life where you are scared, running, saying you had enough? Have you lost faith and hope in power of God in your life? What happened to your zeal.. your obedient faith, your hope and trust in Gods unfailing love and power? Have you forgotten all He has done for you? 1 Kings 19: 4 Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life...
The architect of your life can clearly see how this world of sin has destroyed His master plan. And he’s come to this world to make you knew. To bind up your broken heart and to restore all those things which have been lost by the sinfulness of this world. As long as you have the master-builder in your life He will restore your life to the original design Ephesians 2:12 Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world
Judges will generally "follow precedent" - meaning that they use the principles established in earlier similar cases to decide the outcome of new cases that have similar facts. In forgiveness God works on this same system, the way you judge others is basically you setting a precedent for your own upcoming trial. Mark 11:25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. ”
The principle behind Biblical forgiving others means removing any responsibility from the offender to repairing the damages they caused, and taking responsibility to fix what they damaged yourself with Gods help. Unfortunately many walk around broken people because they expect the accused to fix the damages. 1 Corinthians 6:19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,
What makes forgiveness difficult is the intensity of the offense, the motive, your relationship with the offender, the persons attitude regarding the offense, as well as the external and internal emotional damages. Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
When God forgives you and removes the penalty of sin, that is death, He may also lift from you the burden of sin, but choose not to cover the consequences and visibility of sin in your life. Psalms 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven and sins covered
The Hebrew word Salach (forgive/pardon) is a forgiveness only God can offer. It is includes the divine restoration of an offender into favor with God, whether through his own repentance or in the intercession of another on his behalf.
Psalms 13:2-5 Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all his benefits. Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
One of the Hebrew words for forgiveness is the word Nasah. Meaning to lift, bear and carry sin away. Truth be told no one can do this for themselves: we cannot lift, bear or carry our own sins. But sometimes you may stubbornly try to do so, or even expect others to carry it on their own. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Jewish tradition, ranks sin in 3 categories 1. Sins of ignorance. (Which means if you don’t know its sin its hard to repent) 2. Intentional sin (where you know about it and need to make a conscious choice to stop) 3. Or Rebellious sin (Where you don’t care that you are sinning and therefore will see jo need to repent). Psalms 103:13 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us
God in His mercy teaches us when we ignorantly sin, he may chastises you if you do what is wrong knowingly, and in love he will punish you when you rebel so that he can bring you back and save your from ruin and death. Ezekiel 33:12 “Son of man, give your people this message: The righteous behavior of righteous people will not save them if they turn to transgression(rebellion), nor will the wicked behavior of wicked people destroy them if they repent and turn from their transgression (rebellion)
All types of sin is characterized by a going away from God and moving towards an allegiance with satan. Its like walking into a dark forest, first you wander away a little just a few steps, and can still see the entrance and easily leave the forest again. But then you go further and further so that when we try and turn back we cant find the path anymore or see the light anymore. Romans 1:23-24 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired...
Sin has a way of removing God from your life, when you allow the cup of intentional sin to overflow it switches over to full scale rebellion. The word translated ‘transgression’ seems literally to signify separation, or rending apart, or departure, turn your back , and hence comes to express the notion of apostasy and rebellion Psalms 53:1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
Most people know the wrong they do… there are occasions where people have ignorantly and accidentally hurt you, and there are times where its happened and the person was fully aware of their actions. And God knows and sees the hearts and intentions of man. Psalms 56:8 You have kept count of my tossings; you put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?
Intentional sin starts in the mind with your thoughts and grows and spreads like a crack in a windshield. It effects your emotional wellbeing, your sincerity and leaves you with so many regrets. Engaging in intentional sin is like volunteering to go to a maximum security prison. Isaiah 5:18 You are doomed! You are unable to break free from your iniquity.
When you sin ignorantly, we will be shown our faults and offered an opportunity to repent and be forgiven. When new knowledge of sin is rejected, one starts to play the dangerous game of becoming involved in intentional transgression of Gods moral laws. Psalms 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity
The word iniquity in the KJV (Hebrew: Avon) means to commit wrong intentionally. When you know something is wrong but do it anyway, giving in to your desires. It is something twisted or distorted, the purposeful breaking of God’s moral law and a turning from the perfect will of God even though you know its wrong. Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee
The seed of sin grows and that is the danger. Sin is sin regardless of the liability and the various ways God deals with it. And it poisons the soul. It leaves a stain on the soul
Exodus 34:6-7 The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin
When it comes to the sins people commit towards you, you may Want permanent change: before forgiving. You may feel the offender must remove the hurt: before you can forgive, or pay for their offense or somehow work to earn your forgiveness. Knowing how to respond correctly to being hurt is very important. FORGIVENESS is not the only response to the ignorant sins people commit.
John 5:16 If you see a believer commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray to God, who will give that person life.
Throughout your life you will committed many wrongs inadvertently, or in ignorance. The problem is although not intentional, the cost can be quite high. So even where there is low accountability in wrong doing it should be taken seriously. The ride is short but the cost is high. Leviticus 4:27-28 If any of you people sin and become guilty of breaking one of the LORD's commands without intending to, then as soon as the sin is called to your attention, you shall bring as your offering a female goat without any defects
Dealing hurts, transgressions and sins towards us (accidental sins caused by ignorance) may be difficult because we have over simplified it with sayings like “forgive and forget”, or “time heals all wounds”. Forgiveness does not magically give amnesia allowing you to just forget past hurts. Dealing with transgressions & sins is not that simple. To know how to respond to the sins of others, we need to know how God responds to our sin. And how we should respond to our own sins
John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin: but now you say, We see; therefore your sin remain.
There are many different words in the hebrew and greek scriptures for the word sin. On the lower level of liability is the wors used for sin: Katah (Hebrew), or Hamartia (Greek) meaning to miss the mark, or to fail, or stray from the path. It denotes the idea of meaning to do what is right but failing in your attempt. Romans 7:15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.
There are so many people whose minds do not belong to them. Their thoughts have been highjacked by the hurts caused by people. They have made those people kings and queens of their thought. Robbing you of your sleep. When the offenses of people occupy your mind, your mind becomes saturated with the offenses of people instead of filled with your own thoughts and plans and dreams. Work to have your own mind and to be your own self, free your mind!- Ernest Agyemang Yeboah. Psalms 38:15 What can I say? The LORD has done this. My heart is bitter, and I cannot sleep.
Identifying WHO & WHAT the source of your bitterness is the first step towards breaking open the prison of bitterness. * External sources of bitterness: Tragedies, losses, disappointments, violations, crime, hurts, betrayal, injustice. * Internal sources of bitterness: Expectations and the sense that everything must always go right. Dwelling upon past hurts & injustices, Comparing your life to others, that leads to envy and bitterness. External sources is summarized in 3 categories. 1) circumstances of life 2) unanswered prayer 3) relationships Act 8:23 For I see that you are full of bitter envy and are a prisoner of sin
Bitterness has been identified as a mood... to deal with bitterness you need to differentiate between an emotion, feeling and mood. * The initial response of shock is termed an EMOTION (a chemical reaction due to the realease stress hormones and certain neurotransmitters) * Feelings are evoked as you begin to integrate the emotion, to think about it, to “let it soak in. * Moods are more generalized.
