Skin is a barrier that provides protection from infection, helps control body temperature, and prevents water loss. A preemie is at a greater risk for infection and the loss of heat and water through the skin. That's why it's important to keep your preemie's skin healthy and intact. A premature baby's skin is not as fully mature as a full-term newborn, so a preemie's skin needs extra care. Delicate skin is at risk for injury from tape, electrodes, and adhesives. To better understand how the ketogenic diet works, we first need to know how macronutrients – carbohydrates, proteins and fats – are broken down by the body for energy. Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose which is either used immediately as energy or stored as glycogen or fat which can be used later for energy. Protein is broken down into amino acids, of which 50% are stored as glycogen or fat which can also be used later for energy. Fats, on the other hand are broken down into fatty acids and stored as triglycerides.

Not only are “home businesses” or “MLM’s” very interesting, they are successful. Many of the longest standing organizations in this country have this business model. MLM is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation. Most commonly, the salespeople are expected to sell products directly to consumers by means of relationship referrals and word of mouth marketing. Sounds legit right – so why the bad press?

In the world of DIY beauty treatments, eyebrow waxing is not necessarily the easiest to master. Pick the wrong wax, apply it incorrectly, rip it off improperly -- there's any number of potential pitfalls that can leave you in a hairy situation (pun obviously intended). And when it comes to waxing your own arches, the stakes are even higher: One misstep and it's bye-bye to those full brows you've been trying to grow out. Still, there's no denying that taking the DIY brow waxing route saves time, moola and can be incredibly convenient. So let's walk through the at-home step-by-step so that you'll know exactly how to wax your eyebrows -- without any goofs.

Why? The makeup techniques and color palettes that worked for you when you were younger could actually make you look older now.

I have been abscess with working and would forget about time, staying online all day and completely forgetting about my personal life. So now this new year I have been slowly easing myself back into an exercise routine by hula looping. I have been doing the hula hooping about 10-15 min. 4 days a week. At the end of last week, I started to incorporate a little beginners yoga into my new routine. Just some beginners yoga I found on Youtube. And today I want to share some of the benefits I am already experiencing from just the little bit of exercise I've been doing in the last three weeks. Our bodies contain trillions of cells, each of which is under constant threat of nasty and toxic chemicals called free radicals. Free radicals are oxidized particles that wreak havoc inside our cells. The damage they cause can contribute to cancer, loss of vision, heart disease, cataracts, memory loss and premature effects of aging.
Some free radicals are produced in our bodies as a result of natural functions, such as digestion of food. Others come from the air we breathe, sunlight entering the body through the skin and eyes, the food we eat and even as a byproduct of exercise. We can’t avoid them.
But what we can do is protect and strengthen our cells with free radical scavengers called antioxidants. These particles neutralize and detoxify free radicals so that they can’t cause harm to the cells. It so happens that our bodies themselves make antioxidants, but we also need to consume them in our diets in order to have enough to get the job done.

The visible signs of skin aging vary from one individual to another. The lucky ones are blessed with youthful looking skin long after others are wrinkled, sagging, and covered with a variety of spots and lesions. Which group one falls into depends on two major factors, genetic heritage and environmental exposure. Genetic heritage (intrinsic aging) is programmed into our DNA at conception. Environmental exposure (extrinsic aging) is largely the result of choices made. The good news is there are things one can do that affect the visible signs of the aging clock significantly.Science behind skin aging.beauty, skincare, science,

Question: My Dad worked in construction and after an especially hard day he would dump some epison salts in a hot tub and soak until dinner. He claimed it took the “kinks” out of his joints. My mom used an epison salt soak to help remove splinters and relieve sore feet after a day in heels. Do epison salts really work or is this another old wives tale?
Answer: Epsom salts have been a home remedy for centuries. Chemically it is a mix magnesium and sulfates and named after Epsom in England where it was first made by boiling down mineral water. There is practically no evidence that soaking in epison salted water has a beneficial effect on the body. However centuries of aches and pains have led to three theories on why it works:

Add a new one to the list - micro-needling (also called derma-rolling). It’s been getting a lot of media and online attention these days.

Sales in the cosmetic business are driven by an emotional rather than rational response. In the efforts to find chemical compounds capable of producing fast and impressive results, some over-the-counter cosmetic products may contain detergents that puff up skin's proteins with water, creating temporal swelling of the surface. Others actually contain topical irritants that produce a type of dermal swelling, for instance those used to temporarily mask the appearance of the puckering of cellulite on the thighs. In this ocean of deception it is very difficult to tell truth from fiction. What are some principles that will guide you to reasonable expectations when using topical skin rejuvenation products? Let's review three important tips www.askthebeautyadivior.com

Biggest skin care concerns for most people is aging and/or skin discoloration know as Hyperpigmentation, its a common, usually harmless condition in which patches of skin become darker in color than the normal surrounding skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin.
