His name was Athenodorus. Profession: philosopher. And with “philosophy” he was able to overcome the difficult situation he found himself in. An old building and the ghost that inhabited it. This is the documented story, in a letter by Pliny the Younger (1st century A.D.), of the first haunted house and of the first ghost in History.
