Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The Talking Snake Media did a sit-down interview with Neil Gorsuch, this generation’s Antonin Scalia, and it’s clear that he scares regressives to death. The reason? He believes in originalism, that we should interpret and apply the Constitution as the Founders meant it to be understood. The majority of the Court now, for the first time in decades, shares that philosophy. Regressives have had the Supreme Court all to themselves since 1947, and have been able to get anything they want without having to bother with messy things like passing laws. But those days are now over, with the changes President Trump has made to the makeup of the Court. Gorsuch believes that we should follow the Constitution, and if we don’t like it, the solution is not to have judges rewrite it or ignore it but to have the people amend it. Bully for him.
